"I spent amazing 3 days at this lodge with my family. The drive from Skukza airport to the lodge was like a safari drive and we saw so many animals on the way. Our ranger Jacob was extremely knowledgeable and delightful person. On our first day at the lodge, while having our lunch there was an "elephant show". A herd of elephants turned up just outside the lodge near the river and on the second day, four white rhinos were grazing while we had our lunch. On the 3rd morning just before our morning safari drive, lions walked by...you can see all big fives while just sitting in the lodge.Jacob took all efforts to show us big fives and we even saw endangered wild dogs just before a heavy downpour. The rooms are large with a plunge pool and outside shower, there is also a large watch out area where you can even lie down and enjoy the weather. The food is delicious and sumptuous, the chef Attie made special meals for us since two of our family members are vegetarians. The lodge has a nice library where you can get free wifi, the rooms do not have wifi or television and I liked that a lot. There is a nice souvenir shop which is reasonably priced though the selection is small. The staff is very friendly and courteous which made our trip very special. I highly recommend this lodge where you can experience the luxury of African safari at a reasonable cost."

"We stayed at Fitzpatrick's (Little Jock's) for 4 nights and the whole experience exceeded our expectations in every way.The place was amazing with excellent rooms, amazing food and wonderful staff,Lillian and Precious plus those whose names i did not get made the stay extra special and helped me put on a stone in 4 days! There are not words to do the experience of our game drives justice, our ranger Estian was amazing and not only found all the animals we wanted to see but taught us about them and took us on a walking safari. The whole experience will remain with us for ever. You feel like a very special guest and we did not want to leave, and hopefully will be able to return one day."

"We spent the first 3 days of our honeymoon at Jock Safari Lodge and it was one of the greatest places and experiences of our lives! Friendly staff, walking safari's out into the bush, amarula and poured bubble baths after chilly evening safaris, sundowners in the bush, the Big 5 and then some, glorious private plunge pools and decks, incredible food...the list goes on. We had the most pampered, luxurious romantic time here. Patrick was our ranger and he is an absolute legend - he found us every animal that we wanted to see; his tracking skills and sense of humour made every game drive awesome. Such a perfect place to start our honeymoon, we would recommend it to anyone and hope that one day we can go back."

"We stayed at Fitzpatricks for 3 nights and the main lodge for 4 nights on our honeymoon. I can honestly say this was the best place I have ever stayed. Not only are the lodges amazing and so well designed, the food is excellent and the staff could not do more for you. The sights you see will stay with you for a lifetime and the rangers were unbelievable in their knowledge, commitment and sense of humour (special mention to ours; Estian and Jacob). Thank you for a perfect stay, we would return in a heartbeat!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Fitzpatrick lodge, which is part of Jock but minutes away from the Main Lodge. Ideal to spend a few days on your own, with your family or group of friends. We had our own magnificent staff, all of whom made our stay the most delightful one. Each one of us was treated like a king/queen. The rooms were very comfortable and had a good view towards the river. A little maintenance would do them good. Food was tops. We had lovely dinners outside, including a delicious barbecue next to a fire. The game drives were outstanding. Louis, the manager at Jock, was our ranger and got us to see the Magnificent 7: elephants, leopards, buffaloes, lions, rhinos, cheetahs and wild dogs. We also saw hyenas, zebras, impalas, giraffes, bush babies, eagles, beautiful colored birds, hippos, crocodile, etc, etc. We drove inside the private concession and on the public roads of Kruger, which made it impossible to miss the animals. We were very lucky to see most of the with their babies. We spent 3 nights at Jocks and other 2 nights in a private game reserve just outside Kruger. This combination was perfect."

"Our 4 days at Jock Safari were some of the most enjoyable and memorable of all our travels. Even though you are in the middle of the African wilderness the luxury of the rooms and ground is what we call "posh spartan". Very comfortable but wild enough to give you the feel of the safari. And getting up at 5am on your holiday is no chore, especially when you walk out your door to see two rhino's lounging less than 200 yards away or a troop of baboons wake you from your afternoon nap. The food is unique and spectacular. For dinners, we had Buffalo Pie, Kudu and other game meats. But also Lamb and beef. The food was all cooked fresh and it certainly was plentiful. Breakfast and Lunch were equally good. The staff at Jock rival those of any 5-star hotel anywhere. They are attentive and they listen and they respond. The game drives are unbelievable. The rangers do their best to be sure you see and get close to as many animals as possible. Our thanks to Louis and Jacob for making the trips and stay memorable. We highly recommend Jock Safari as a destination for doing a game drive and experiencing wild Africa."

"My wife and I stayed at Fitzpatrick's at the Jock on a Saturday. We reached late by 4.30, and the evening safari had already left. The staff were very proactive and managed to get another ranger to take us to the Safari Jeep. The ranger was very knowledgeable and started off, saying don't expect too much, since it was cold and drizzling. But between the evening and the morning drives, we saw a lot of elephants, rhinos, a pride of lions, cheetah, hippo and hyena, besides the usual herbivores. The rangers speak with each other about sightings and this helps our chances. The off-roading into the river-bed was also exciting. Had a very good dinner with good wine choices and an Amarula Coffee! left after a heavy breakfast. Definitely will stay here again for a day if I come back to Kruger."

"We had a very pleasant two night stay at Jock Safari Lodge. We stayed in the Fitzpatrick House, which is a short drive from the main lodge. Fitzpatrick was a delightful place, and it was secluded. Waking to calls of the elephants was special. Fitzpatrick had the full range of dining options, and we spent our time between the main lodge and Fitzpatrick. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we were well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. The food and wines were excellent and we were able to taste different wines before dinner. We enjoyed three safari drives with Lazarus. He exhibited great passion for his work and the animals in the park. His knowledge was excellent and he worked hard to provide a great experience. With a cheeky sense of humour, he delighted us along the way. It was great to see the tension between lions and hyenas over a kill, and then seeing two other lionesses with a kill taken from a leopard was memorable. My walking safari with Lazarus was my most memorable moment from my stay at the lodge."
