There is also a four poster bed, positioned right on top of the hide, where guests can enjoy a unique experience of a night sleeping in the wild. The river walk between Tree Lodge and Safari Lodge offers a tranquil path along the river, where birds, water leguans and even crocodiles are found.
The Masala Spa offers full body, Indian head, back and shoulder and foot massages to dissolve the stress of the city, and guests can unwind in the Masala room, or in the privacy of their own suites.
The main lodge has a spacious fireplace and dining area where guests can enjoy sumptuous high tea, a sundowner or curl up with a book and enjoy the sounds of the bush.

"We were unsure of what to expect when we booked a weekend at Jacis Tree Lodge, as we normally stay on the other side of the reserve. After arriving and being welcomed by some of the friendliest staff on the planet, we knew we were in for a great stay. The location is amazing! Right next to a flowing river and is teaming with game and a wide variety of birds. As a photography enthusiast, getting to experience the underground Terranpin hide was mind blowing. Some of my best shots came from this facility. Our guide Lucky was both knowledgeable and accommodating, one of our best yet (and that's saying a lot, as we've traveled to Madikwe a few times)! We can't wait to book there again soon!"
"Jaci's Tree Lodge is well situated on the eastern border of Madwike game reserve. From the moment I arrived the staff could not have been more welcoming or friendly and the lodge had a great feel. The lodge itself and the eight tented chalets are joined by walkways and are extremely comfortable and well-equipped. The food and service was exceptional. My guide Lucky was excellent and the game viewing in the park was wonderful and accompanied by views of the park and its varied landscape. Seeing magnificent lions and the rare and fascinating wild-dogs was very special. Meanwhile the submerged hide at the lodge allowed access to the constant traffic of game at the waterhole and excellent photographic opportunities."
"Tree houses are beautiful. Well furnished. Outdoor shower, a pleasant surprise! Big five on the game drives. Lucky is a wonderful guide. One of the best anywhere in the world. Great service! Would go back anytime."
"Jaci's tree lodge is superb. Exciting game drives, very comfortable accommodation and they made a great effort in preparing really good vegetarian food. And to round it all off they laid on a super surprise for our wedding anniversary. Highly recommend Jaci's."

"We loved Jacki's Tree lodge!!! It was our favorite of the three reserves and lodges we visited. The bungalo's were great, the staff supurb in every way and our experience was off the chart. Our guide Roel was fantastic! We saw wild dog, leapord, lion, and all of the big five and so much more. We will be back and thanks to all of the staff for making our stay and Christmas extra special!!!!!!!!"

"There are so many positives that I shall start with the staff. They are not only warm and friendly but go the extra mile. Our family of 4 were treated as an extension of theirs and we commented on our departure that they run the place like owners of the business, not just as staff. My husband celebrated a birthday whilst there and we were showered in surprises and celebration. We highly recommend this lodge for a special birthday or other celebration also because of its relatively small size of max 16 guests. The rooms are wonderfully big with a wooden balcony extending into the trees. The outdoor shower is powerful, hot and a real treat. Loved it! The bed is enormous and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the luxury the room offered. Just be warned that in winter the cold bites so bring along a pair of warm slippers to fend off the cold whilst you pad around the room. Our guide, Peter, was excellent. Highly trained and experienced he shared his deep insightful knowledge of animals, birds, plants and stars making the game drives super interesting. Again, the cold bites so make sure you are well padded for the early mornings and night drives. The game is not around every corner, but what you see is quality. The sunsets are also astonishing. The food was plentiful and delicious. We loved the surprises that awaited and enjoyed all our meals. This lodge being situated in the east of Madikwe is only a 3-4 hour drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg and well worth a visit. It's also fenced meaning that you can walk around or between the two lodges along a lovely forest and river path, something he really in possible when there are no fences. At night you hear the lions roar and hyenas whoop. Magic! There are so many positives that I shall start with the staff. They are not only warm and friendly but go the extra mile. "I just love Madikwe as a Bush weekend / Safari getaway. It's big five country at its best ( Elephant , Buffalo, Rhino , Lion and Leopard). Lucky our guide tells us that they are called the big five because they are the most dangerous to hunt. Lucky, was the first person to meet us at the Lodge entrance and he remained our contact - go to person for our three day stay. He has eyes in the back of his head and spotted many animals that we would have overlooked. He was knowledgeable of all things Animals, birds, bush and natural Geology. Thank you for making it special. The lodge accommodation is a stilted village of eight thatched exclusive units connected to each other by decked pathways in the riverine shrubs and trees on the banks of the Marico River on the eastern boundary of the park. I have never met such helpful and friendly staff - from the personal visit from the chef at dinner - to the waiters of tables and servers of drinks - a fantastic experience indeed and so refreshing. Game viewing is twice a day so the early mornings and early evenings are spent looking for the elusive big five. Madikwe and our guide Lucky did not disappoint - and within 24 hours we had seen the big five. With possible the best sighting of leopard that we could have wished for. The evening sundowners or early morning sunrises are spectacular and reminds us what a privilege it is to live in Africa. The food is incredible and refreshingly different. The wine list is extensive and reflects South African wines so well. It was sad to leave. I look forward to going back. Thank you all at Jaci Lodges - Awesome Awesome Awesome."
"Our family spent four nights at Jaci's Tree Lodge, which is set in an idyllic forested location along the Groot Marico river in the Madikwe reserve. We flew in with Federal Air from Johannesburg, and were fetched from the reserve airstrip by a Jaci's Tree Lodge guide. The lodge is fenced for protection against predators and other dangerous wildlife, but there are bushbuck, monkeys, squirrels and prolific birdlife around the lodge, which is built on stilts amongst the trees next to the river. Plenty of elephant frequented the outside perimeter of the lodge, either swimming in the river or drinking at the waterhole below the hide. The lodge is relatively small, with only eight rooms. The staff at the lodge were incredibly courteous and welcoming, and the service was excellent. The rooms were well-appointed, with quirky decor, a large indoor tub and an outdoor shower. The ceiling fans in our room were perhaps a little on the sluggish side, but there was an airconditioning unit if needed. The stacking doors around the room opened up totally onto the spectacular deck amongst the trees. Closing the many roller blinds around the room nightly was a little laborious - perhaps curtains would have been easier. Three members of our party had special dietary requirements, and, having given the lodge advance warning of our needs, they made a huge effort to accommodate us, going to great lengths to prepare alternative food to that which was generally on offer. The food was superb, and chef Virginia and her team went out of their way to provide a variety of interesting menu options. Our game guide Lucky was articulate, courteous, good-humoured and knowledgeable, and managed to track and find an astonishing number of game and bird species over the eight game drives which we spent with him, including the "Big Five" and cheetah. He also made an effort to show us a variety of different areas of the reserve, taking us to a new location on each drive. We also made use of the spa service at the lodge, with masseuse Valencia and her "African Power Massage" to be recommended. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and a perfect destination for a safari in a malaria-free reserve. We will certainly go back to Jaci's Tree Lodge in future."
"An amazing first safari holiday for my 26 year old. Our room was huge and beautifully furnished. The rooms led off from the main area via wooden walkways. Each one secluded. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent with a choice of evening meal. The chef, Virginia was outstanding. We were served our evening meal in the dining area, the outside seating area and at the front of the lodge under the stars. Several evenings we were entertained by the staff singing Swahili and dancing African style. Sitting around the small pool in the afternoon, we could here the elephants approaching the watering hole just the other side of the lodge. A few steps later we were in the hide looking at the animals that came to drink. The watering hole has a resident crocodile, fortunately not too large. Lucky was our designated driver. Lucky by name and certainly for us. On our first drive we had seen zebra, impala a white rhino and then... a leopard. That first drive set the bar high and Lucky didn't fail us on the remainder of our drives. We saw the big 5 plus many other animals and birds. The sundowner every evening allowed us to get to know our fellow guests and Lucky. Hope one day we can go back, simply the best!"
"Jaci's Tree Lodge was luxury in any one of eight tree houses connected by a lantern lit wooden walkway, which led you to the wonderfully open bar and dining areas. The daily menus were amazing, and prepared to perfection whether served in the dining area, or in the bush after the evening drive. The animals were easily seen and in extremely good condition - we saw all animals including the Big 5, except for hippo during our four night stay. The guides were amazingly knowledgeable on animals, birds, trees and bushes, tracking and keeping us safe. It was a treat watching the animals drink from the water hole while sitting in the hide out at the water' s edge. Being a Malaria free area, it makes sense to go to Madikwe, and Jaci's Lodges are definitely the best place to stay. We will be back, all the way from the US."
