"My girlfriend and another couple and I spent 4 days at the lodge. Two game drives were provided per day by pros who know these animals and the environment they inhabit. Food was very good, the room was top notch, service second to none. WiFi was slow but survivable :) The value of this experience has no real level. You see and feel things and life as never before. From a fresh warthog's demise by a leopard to a sunset snack overlooking a watering hole filled with hippo, you just live in awe of life. I'd like to thank Willie, John & Atasja for their great care. The Butler (who's name escapes me because I'm an idiot) and Martha (the cook) were wonderful."

"This lodge and the people are excellent. They want your stay to be perfect. The main lodge gathering point for meals, and socializing is lovely. It is open so you can see the animals and there are plenty to see. They come very close. The meals are delicious and more than you can eat. Twice a day you go out to view the animals, we saw the big 5 and more. Ocean was our ranger and Lucas our tracker they find the animals and they are great!!! You stay in individual chalets. Very private. Great bathrooms with large tub an indoor and outdoor shower, all the luxuries you could want. Our bed was an over sized king bed. Atasha was wonderful. She is a manager at the lodge. If you want to go on a safari and see ALL the animals up close with all the luxuries this is the place. We will return! This lodge is outside Kruger park. Kruger doesn't allow going of road to see the animal in this reserve you can so you get better viewing, without intruding on them. It is all about the animals their safety and yours."

"Firstly we were greeted by the warm, friendly staff of Jackalberry who explained all we needed to know before showing us to our amazing room! Rooms are incredibly clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The meals provided as delicious and filling, you will not be disappointed. The rangers and trackers on game drives are knowledgeable and happy to answer all of our questions about the game in the park. Their passion for conservation is inspiring. Visiting Jackalberry was one of the best travel experiences I've ever had and this is largely due to the exceptional staff at the Lodge. I loved every second and hope to return again soon!"

"The Jackalberry Lodge is cozy with only handful of bungalows, which made it paradise. The staff was great, making us feel at home and super helpful. They truly worked and played as a team. Food was great with courses in the evening, cook to order breakfast, and my favorite was lunch in the bush. The drives were amazing. The tracker and guide were knowledgeable on animals, plants, and even stars. We saw all big 5 within 3 drives. We also saw the usual giraffe, zebra, hippos, and some other critters like a baby Python and dung beetle. I also loved the walking tours. Amazing and will be back!"

"The service, attention, food, room, game drives are exceptional at Jackalberry. There is not one detail that is missed. If you want a more intimate setting, this is the place to stay! Wonderful!!! The animal viewing is incredible. You see everything (except for cheetahs that have not been spotted for months)."

"The first time we visited Jackalberry was 15 years ago, second time was 13 years ago, and this year we wanted to show this wonderful place to our children and spend our Christmas Holidays here. Of course we were a little afraid to be disappointed after so many years - but this place is beyond anything we could expect or hope for - it is even better now than the last times we were here. We had the most amazing Holiday ever. Our hosts, Karlien and Tom, and their staff are extremely friendly, warm and kind - the rooms are beautiful and cosy and the food is superb. We had the most wonderful Christmas days here. Our ranger, Ocean, and tracker, Themba, gave us stunning game drives and - of course :) - The Big Five, and they taught us so much about animals, tracking and fauna. We will recommend this place to everybody, and we will definitely go back some day."
- Tina
"Having just returned from Jackalberry, I cannot praise this lodge enough. The whole experience is amazing, from the most hospitable and efficient staff, wonderful room, fantastic food and awesome game drives. In particular, Tom, our ranger and his tracker Solly, wow. Karlien the lodge manager is wonderful, she is so friendly and accommodating. We will be going back."

"We loved everything about this place! The lodge was first class, relaxed, and the private bungalows facing the watering hole were outstanding. The staff was beyond reproach. We felt completely pampered. We loved our guide and tracker (Willie and Themba). We saw the Big Five and every other kind of animal in the bush. Truly a life altering experience."
