Chobe Chilwero is located on the edge of the famous Chobe National Park which is renowned for having the world's largest population of elephants. Sitting on a hilltop above the river with panoramic views stretching to the distant horizon, this luxurious sophisticated retreat offers discerning guests sumptuous comfort, gourmet cuisine and impeccable personalized service.
There are just fifteen thatched Cottages at Chobe Chilwero, assuring guests of seclusion and tranquillity. Each spacious en-suite cottage has a large bedroom, mosquito netting, en-suite bathroom with a large free-standing bath and both indoor and outdoor showers, sitting area, air conditioning, hairdryer, overhead fan, in-room safe, minibar, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
The Honeymoon Suite has all the features of the cottages with the addition of a private plunge pool, a private deck where guests will be able to enjoy private dinners for two under the stars (weather permitting) and special turndowns every night. This suite is also equipped with a private vehicle and guide for all game viewing activities.
The facilities at Chobe Chilwero include an expansive lounge area, indoor and outdoor dining area, a bar, a spa, kiddies club, babysitting services, laundry service, and a split-level pool.
Meals are sumptuous affairs, and the lodge is renowned for its delicious, eclectic fusion of Western and African cuisine and delicacies. Guests may request private dinners served outdoors under the twinkling African sky.
Game viewing activities are personally tailored. On offer are morning and late afternoon game drives, sunset boat cruises along the tranquil waters of the Chobe, and fishing excursions.
Chobe National Park offers abundant and diverse wildlife and is home to the largest concentration of elephant in Africa. During the dry season these herds, as well as large herds of buffalo, congregate along the fertile floodplains of the Chobe River. Magnificent sightings of puku, sable, giraffe and roan antelope, as well as the rare aquatic Red Lechwe and the indigenous Chobe Bushbuck are frequent. The abundant game supports a healthy population of predators, including large resident populations of lion, leopard, wild dog and cheetah. The park is home to the Big Five, along with huge pods of hippo and crocodiles.
Chobe is rich in birdlife, offering over 450 species, including the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl and the distinctive, strangely beaked African skimmer.

Fantastic travel agent for African safari family trip!
Wow! Shann was and is fantastic! She figured out a way to make our entire trip work. We are going on a 2 week trip to South Africa and Botswana. She really helped tie it all together as a wonderful, cohesive trip. She is super nice and super smart and very knowledgeable. She is also flexible and thoughtful, etc., etc. When the chips were down (and we literally were considering pulling the plug on the whole trip), she found a way to make the entire itinerary work and got us excited about our wonderful adventure!
