If it's impressive settings that make or break the atmosphere of a rest camp, there's no question as to what Nossob is made of. Slashed across the dry riverbed of the Nossob, in the middle of one of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park's impressive tree savannah, Nossob Rest Camp is made well known for its predator sightings. This 38,000km² park offers the finest in big-five spotting opportunities and self-catering accommodation.

Activities & Facilities

Guests at Nossob Rest Camp may partake in one of numerous lectures or slide shows on exhibit at the facility, as well as attending various holiday programs organized from the Predator center. Night drives and day walks are organised, coordinated and facilitated by trained, knowledgable and eager professionals, routes either taking the form of 4 x 4 trails or loops, making stops at various interesting sites around the park.

Picnic areas are available to guests, as are adjoining ablution and barbecue facilities, and a swimming pool which doubles as an oasis for the indigenous wildlife. A secret hide can be found on the edge of the camp, bringing a fantastic cross section of creatures, including Lions and Hyenas, within easy viewing range.

The camp has a reception, and a predator information centre, while electricity is provided by a generator for eighteen hours a day. There is no phone reception in this area.

Reviews

They did some renovations in the ladies' bathrooms and therefore the whole camp had to use men's bathrooms which wasn't pleasant. Reception very friendly and helpful. We actually had a fantastic time and lovely weather. Lekker lookout point. Waterhole too small though.

Love this camp. Spent 5 days there. Had superb thunderstorm the one night and the river was full the next day. Sadly had to leave the park before all the green burst through. Will always return to Nossob.

LINDA STRUBEN

We loved the atmosphere of this camp and were fortunate to have a chalet under a tree facing the fence. We loved the hide in front of the water hole and were fortunate enough to see 2 male lion right next to the walkway of the hide on one day and on the 2nd day, 2 lionesses lying under a tree who then proceeded to come down to have a drink of water. The accommodation was adequate and had everything we needed.

John Gous

Loved our time at Nossob. Chalet is clean and has the necessities but no frills.

GRAEME WARES

Nossob Camp is one of the best camps I ever visited. It will not be my last visit. Staff members are all friendly, well informed and very helpful. I will recommend this camp to my friends and family.

Very Good.

The camp staff were helpful and the camping sites and ablutions were very good, BUT the roads are so bad, we had excessive damage to our off road caravan. Would have to think long and hard before returning to this park.
