Linyanti, Selinda & Kwando
Accommodation
Nestled in the northern reaches of Botswana lie three private game viewing concessions that promise an unforgettable African safari experience - Linyanti, Selinda, and Kwando.
The Linyanti is situated north of Savuti in a corner of the renowned Chobe National Park and boasts an attractive swamp that is frequently visited by a great diversity of game, including large concentrations of elephant, lion, sable, roan, hippos, and wild dog. It is also a bird watching paradise with over 450 species recorded.
The Selinda Nature Reserve encompasses 300 000 acres of pristine wilderness which includes the Selinda Spillway, dense marshland, riverine woodlands, sprawling savannahs, and an abundance of wildlife. Visitors to the reserve can look forward to frequent sightings of elephant, wild dog, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, lion, giraffe, and antelope. A safari experience in the Selinda is exclusive and intimate, with only three camps occupying this vast reserve.
The Kwando Game Reserve is one of Botswana's most famous safari destinations, with phenomenal predator activity and big game viewing, as well as some of Africa's best wild dog sightings. The Kwando reserve is one of few destinations in Botswana to have lodges that include a guide and a separate tracker on safari vehicles.
All of these private reserves have restricted access and afford travelers an authentic safari experience with fewer crowds. These reserves boast a selection of exciting activities which include day and night game drives in open safari vehicles, bird watching, boating safaris, guided bush walks, and canoeing at selected camps.
