Machangulo Beach Lodge

Set in a secluded part of Mozambique lies a hidden jewel; Machangulo Lodge with 17 luxurious rooms comprising of Ocean View Rooms, Villas, and Beach Forest Rooms.

Machangulo is the easiest accessible lodge in Mozambique with daily flights into Maputo followed by a scenic boat or road transfer to the lodge. It is the ideal location for guests wanting a beach and bush experience. The Kruger National Park is easily accessible by road or air. 

The Five Premium Ocean View rooms are the pride and joy of Machangulo Beach Lodge. Perched up on a ridge overlooking the amazing scenery. Each room has a private deck, en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, mini bar and many other luxury amenities.

The Villas at Machangulo provide ultimate flexibility and privacy for groups, families and any types of booking configuration. The large and spacious Villas feature 2 private en-suite rooms Joined together by a central room. The central area of the Villa features a kitchen prep area, lounge, bar and dining area. The Villa also features a pool. The Villas are completely private and offer a home away from home luxury. They are right on the beach and are surrounded by 5 marine and nature reserves.

Close to the beach and intimately private the Beach Forest Rooms at Machangulo Beach Lodge consist of two rooms each. These rooms are close together but only attached via wood decks. These Beach Forest Rooms are ideal for groups or families. 

The lodge features a fully equipped activity center, spa and plenty of amazing viewing spots of the ocean and Inhaca Island. 

Activities include scuba diving, birding, fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, Santa Maria and Inhaca Island tours, the mangroves, and picnics on the beach.

Machangulo is the ideal vacation for solo explorers, friends traveling together, couples and families.

Child Policy:

Children of all ages are welcome at the lodge. A nanny service, children's menu and activities are available. 

2 children under the age of 16 years are permitted to share with two adults in the Ocean View Rooms and Villas. 1 child is permitted to share with 2 adults in a Beach Forest Room.

Important information:

A minimum 2 night stay applies at Machangulo throughout the year. We recommend a 5 - 7 night stay for a complete experience.  

Fully inclusive options are available which includes soft drinks and a selection of local and imported alcoholic drinks. Premium brands are excluded from the fully inclusive option - USD 50 per adult per night and USD 25 per child per night.  

Transfers are tide dependent so please consult with your travel expert before booking flights.

Road transfers and boat transfers are at an additional cost.
