Masuwe Lodge

Masuwe Lodge is located a mere seven kilometers from the iconic Victoria Falls, affording guests the opportunity to enjoy the splendors of the Victoria Falls and the beauty of African bushland. Having re-opened in May 2017, the lodge is completely refurbished and is the ideal destination to relax and enjoy a slower pace of a day spent in Victoria Falls or on game drives in the neighboring Chamabonda National Park.

Masuwe boasts nine Wilderness Tents, a Family Suite, and a Hide-Away.

The Wilderness Tents are built from thatch, canvas and local stone. They each feature a king-size bed or twin beds, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, plush bathrobes, mosquito netting, hairdryer, in-room safe, and a private deck with comfortable chairs and views of the bushveld. 

The Family Nest is named after the weaver bird nests found around Masuwe and is built from stone and thatch. The suite boasts an upstairs master bedroom with a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, private relaxation area, and lovely treetop views Downstairs there is a second smaller bedroom with en-suite bathroom, as well as an indoor living area, kitchenette with mini-bar, a shaded deck, a plunge pool and a braai (barbeque) area.

The Hide-Away is a stand-alone thatch, canvas and stone unit tucked away in the bushveld, overlooking a small active waterhole. Ideal for couples and honeymooners, the Hide-Away features a spacious bedroom with king-size bed, mosquito netting, hairdryer, in-room safe, an indoor double shower and large outdoor bathtub, plush bathrobes, minibar, and large deck with comfortable seating. It's the perfect place to immerse with nature and enjoy the sights and sounds of the bush. 

The lodge facilities include a dining area, bar, lounge area, swimming pool, and shaded relaxation areas. 

Victoria Falls is regarded as the adventure capital in Africa and Masuwe ensures that all guests make the most of their time in Victoria Falls by offering complimentary transfers to and from central Victoria Falls. Guests can look forward to a number of activities which include white water rafting (seasonal), river cruises, scenic helicopter flights, tours of the falls, and bungee jumping to name but a few. 

Masuwe Lodge is situated on 1000 hectares of natural bushland which is home to wildlife including bushbuck, kudu, sable, leopard, warthogs, impala and much more. Masuwe is a bird watching paradise with almost 500 bird species recorded in the park. Walking safaris are offered at Masuwe, whilst game drives are conducted in the neighboring Chamabonda National Park which offers the opportunity of viewing bigger species such as elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, a variety of antelope species, hyena, lion, leopard and much more.
