Mobile and walking safaris
Where to go
Experience the best of the wilderness on a mobile-tented or walking safari. This is nature unplugged. Step out of your wilderness-style tent and feel the presence of wild animals. If you’re on a mobile safari in the Okavango Delta, expect to spend time in a mokoro (dugout canoe), poling through the sublimely beautiful waterways of this wonderland.
Come face to face with the bush on one of our walking-safari trails, which can last up to seven days. You’ll get to experience the sights, smells and sounds of the African wilderness as your trained ranger leads you into its heart.
Mobile safaris are all about immersing yourself in the rhythms of the bush. On moving days, your camp staff travel ahead to ensure that the mobile camp is fully set up and that a warm welcome awaits you when arriving at each new destination. The campsites are often set up on private concessions within the major reserves – such as Kruger National Park, Chobe, Moremi or Savuti – and offer complete privacy. These sites change from time to time to give the earth a breather and ensure a lower eco-footprint.
Although these are more rustic experiences, you’ll still receive the luxurious touches that you’d expect from a safari lodge. Enjoy the serenity of private campsites and the comfort of spacious, fully-serviced wilderness camping. The safari tents usually come with comfy beds, starched linen, and even an en-suite bathroom with refreshing bucket shower.
Privately-owned and fully independent, our core aim is to ensure the smoothest safari experience possible with 24/7 support.
