Today you arrive at Windhoek Airport where you will collect your vehicle from the Hertz Car Rental office and make your way to the Olive Grove Hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or venture out into the city to visit craft centers, art galleries and museums.
Accommodation: Frans Indongo Lodge
Today you travel approximately two and a half hours to the Savannah plains of Otjiwaronga where you will check into your lodge. Frans Indongo Lodge offers the opportunity to experience game drives, walking trails and visits to the famous mountain plateau of Waterberg. Frequently seen in the reserve are gemsbok, zebra, kudu and springbok but there are also rarer species to be seen such as eland; sable, roan antelope, impala, and the black wildebeest. The Cheetah Conservation Fund Only is situated 1 hour 15 minutes from the lodge and offers guests the opportunity to spend the day amongst the fastest cats in Africa. Activities offered at the establishment: Cheetah feeding, cheetah run and a game drive to get up-close for photographs.
Accommodation: Onguma Bush Camp
Today you climb into your vehicle and drive from Otjiwarongo to Etosha National Park where you will check in to camp. Depending on your time of arrival, you may get to experience your first afternoon game drive in the Etosha. You will have the next few days to explore Etosha National Park and discover its abundant wildlife, including lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, cheetah, hyenas, zebra, springbok, kudu, gemsbok and eland. Other fascinating wildlife to be seen in the park includes jackals, bat-eared foxes, warthogs, honey badgers and ground squirrels.
Accommodation: Doro Nawas Camp
Climbing into your vehicle, you will drive just a little over three hours towards the Skeleton Coast, reaching Damaraland - a place of archaeological wonder and some of the oldest geological formations in the world. During your stay at Doro Nawas, you have the opportunity to enjoy open-vehicle nature drives, guided nature walks, bird watching, stargazing, scorpion night walks, cultural visits to local communities, visits to the San rock art site at Twyfelfontein; and visits to the Petrified Forest, Burnt Mountains and Organ Pipes.
Accommodation: Strand Hotel Swakopmund
Just a 4,5 to 5 hour drive from Damaraland between the Atlantic Ocean and the Namib Desert lies the city of Swakopmund. The next few days are spent exploring a city that is known for its desert adventures, museums and ocean tours.
Today you bid farewell to the coastal city of Swakopmund as you drive back to Windhoek Airport, return the vehicle and connect with your onward travel arrangements.
