Porini Rhino Camp is a small and intimate eco-camp located within the vast 90 000
This pristine wildlife area is located between the Aberdares and the majestic Mount Kenya. The conservancy is home to a variety of animals including the “Big Five”. It is the largest sanctuary in East Africa for the endangered Black Rhino and is also a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees.
Porini Rhino Camp is in a secluded valley, on the banks of a seasonal river and shaded by the acacia trees. The camp is specially designed to have a minimal environmental impact with no permanent structures and uses eco-friendly fuel, adhering to strict eco-friendly and responsible eco-tourism principles.
The camp boasts seven spacious Tents in scenic spots of the reserve. Each tent is tastefully furnished and has double or twin beds, ensuite bathrooms with a shower and flush toilet and solar-power lighting.
The camp facilities include an indoor and outdoor sitting area as well as an indoor dining area.
Ol Pejeta has over 10 000 large mammals and it is the only park where the big 5 and chimpanzees can be seen. It is also where the fastest growing population of rhino in Africa can be found. There is the southern white rhino, approximately 80 endangered black rhino and in a special sanctuary, there are two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhino.
Activities offered at the camp include day and night shared game drives, guided bush walks, sundowners, a visit to Baraka the Black Rhino & Information Centre and a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The Conservancy ensures excellent game-viewing and game drives are conducted in open-sided, off-road safari vehicles and led by expert safari guides.
In addition, there are a number of other optional activities which can be booked, with the income contributing to the Conservancy’s running costs: The Endangered Species Boma, Lion Tracking, Riding with Rhinos and Junior Rangers.

Flights, road transfers, premium brand beverages, gratuities, additional excursions and items of a personal nature.
Children over the age of 8 years are welcome to stay at the camp.
1 child pays 60% of per person sharing rates when sharing with 2 adults in 1 tent & the 2 adults pay the per person sharing rates each.
1 child pays 60% of per person sharing rates when sharing with 1 adult and the 1 adult pays the full single tent rate.
2 children in their own tent pay 75% of per person sharing rates each, 3rd child in the same tent pays 75% of per person sharing rate.
Includes: Accommodation, all meals, selected beverages (gin & tonics, beer, wine, sodas and mineral water), day and night shared game drives, guided bush walks, sundowners, a visit to Baraka the Black Rhino & Information Centre and a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
