"From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. The Lodge is beautiful and very accommodating. Our room was lovely and comfortable. The hot bath and cognac that was left for us each night upon our return from a game drive added to the luxury. But it was Neil, Tash and the staff that made our stay so wonderful. The Chef and staff went out of their way to make sure our experience was wonderful. Breakfast each morning was cooked to our hearts desire. Dinner was a new experience each night. From the village choir that sang to us, to the stories told by the guides, each night was special. All of the guides worked hard to make sure the game drives were successful and educational. Our guide Paddy’s knowledge of the land, history of the area and love of the animals made each game drive an unforgettable experience. The respect that is shown for the animals and the care that is given to preserve their habitat is wonderful. I will hold a special place in my heart for Savanna and hope to return someday."

"We have just spent 3 days at Savannah, and the quality and friendliness of the service is the best I have ever experienced. Nothing was too much trouble, and the knowledge of the bush and game by our tracker was encyclopedic. Although not the cheapest, value for money was way above one of the other options we tried within the same visit."

"I will start with the end.... Despite still having a week left of our honeymoon, to be spent visiting Cape Town, I cried when we left Savanna. Second only to our wedding day, we feel the time we spent here was the most amazing of our lives. I was very nervous before our first game drive... However, Paddy our ranger and Julius our tracker put me at ease straight away, and within two minutes of our drive we saw the first of the Big 5 (buffalo) and by the end of the same drive we had seen all five, plus a ton of others! And I loved it!!! David and Lawrence, the ranger and tracker for our third to sixth game drive were equally excellent, with incredible knowledge of the animals and the area. The food is stunning, and dinner provided us with a different surprise every evening (which I won't ruin for anyone else). The service is impeccable, truly the best service we have ever experienced and the rooms.... Not sure words can describe how beautiful and comfortable our lodge was, with its own plunge pool too! Hospitality at the lodge is every bit as amazing as the animals in the park. The 5am wake up calls are a shock to the system but we soon got used to it.... And after the morning drive and before the afternoon one, there is nothing to do but relax, nap and sunbathe with a view out over the reserve (or use the gym as I did once). As an aside, it's also worth noting that the lodge does some incredible charity work with the local community. Unfortunately we didn't get time to visit the local orphanage that the lodge supports, but the trip came highly recommended from the guests that did make it. We never thought we could relax the way we did at Savanna. We would recommend it to anyone, and we are already working out when we can go back!"

"We stayed at the Savanna Reserve for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon. Every part of the trip was pure perfection. We had Eddie as our tracker and Kevin as our ranger. Each drive was over the top exciting and it's seriously amazing how close they can get to the animals. The meals were great and the staff was nothing but professional. Rooms are spacious and comfortable! Each room has a lookout of the watering hole where the animals come to. On our last day during breakfast a group of elephants came by... breakfast with a view! There are lots of surprises throughout your stay - I would list them all but I don't want to give everything away. Just stay here!!! We can not wait to come back."

"The villa we were situated in was amazing, complete with the nightly baths drawn for us after each evening game drive. The staff always went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met, anticipating them before we even needed to make requests. Our game drives with Kevin and Abraham were unforgettable, every step of the way was very well organized and all of the staff worked in sync together. This made things smooth and seem less - exactly how a honeymoon should be. They even surprised us with a private dinner on our last night!"

"My wife and I and another couple were blown away by our stay at the savanna lodge. When you book a safari you hope to see some amazing animals, but what we left with, was way more than that. Thanks to the amazing staff who made us feel right at home! Everything was organized perfectly from the moment you arrive. We were greeted by Tess and sat down in the log for a refreshing glass of lemonade and a talk about what to expect. She took her time and answered any questions and concerns that we had and then we were escorted to our lodge. Our room was great, with views of a watering hole where we saw; elephants, monkeys, and water buffalo right from our room. We were all very impressed with the food, it was delicious and they were very accommodated to dietary requests. As for the game drives we couldn't have been more happier. We had Dan as our ranger and Julius as our tracker they were a great team! We basically saw the big 5 everyday amongst many more animals. It was a nice touch to have coffee on the morning drive and a refreshment of your choice in the afternoon drive. Dinners were always delicious and in a different setting which was a very nice. We are so happy with our choice I think if we stayed at a different place we wouldn't have had nearly as much fun as we did at the savanna lodge. It was a trip of a life time for us and the savanna lodge was the highlight. We owe it all to the amazing staff at the lodge. We will send everyone we know there. We can't think them enough."

"Savanna Private Game Reserve is always full of surprises. Excellent game viewing, expert rangers who can describe the life-cycle of all the animals you will come across, and lovely accommodations. We have traveled many times in Africa and I must say Savanna is extraordinary."

"A wonderful mix of beautiful accommodations, friendly/attentive staff, lovely surprises, and ridiculous game viewing. Savanna aims to please and delivers by truly being something a little different. You will not be disappointed with your experience here!"

"We had a wonderful time at Savannah. Our needs were catered for in every way by a very welcoming and efficient group of staff. The facilities and accommodation were excellent. The plunge pool attached to our tent was very welcome after the morning safari. The guides and trackers worked as a team to provide us with quality sightings of the big 5 in 2 out of the 3 days. We were treated to have Paddy as our guide. Being an outstanding photographer himself, he and his tracker not only provided quality sightings but also placed the vehicle in the right position to take the photo. Our special sightings included 4 close encounters with leopard and a hyena den which sported 3 litters of cubs ranging from less than a month to three. Paddy thanks for your company and the fun we had. We look forward to our next visit."

"This trip to South Africa and Savanna was far ahead of any expectations. My wife and I went along with 6 dear friends and were treated like family at Savanna. The game drives, accommodations and food are 5 star. All the staff are 6 star. We hope to return one day and spend more time at the local school and village."
