Reviews

"Old Ursula is a satellite camp adjoining the luxurious Stanley and Livingstone Lodge, a 10 -15 minute drive out of Victoria Falls. It's situated inside the private Victoria Falls Nature Reserve. There are 4 chalets, the one closest to the Dining complex is lager and the honeymoon suite, which we stayed in. Lovely appointed room, only downside is that it has a double bed not a king! (the standard chalet next door had a king bed!) The food we had was one of the best meals we have ever had on safari. Dinner is a choice of 3 mains, each plated and served. The camp has a swimming pool and overlooks a waterhole and we saw Elephant, Giraffe, Jackal, Baboon and a herd of Eland came down to drink. Highly recommended as a quieter alternative to staying in an hotel in Victoria Falls. They offer 2 complimentary transfers into town, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Perfect for small groups or friends/families who want some privacy."

"We got the resort after 10 days in South Africa and we spent 2 night. The location is in a private reserve and it is in the wild bush. It offers privacy and the atmosphere is really fantastic: you open your room door and you can see wild animals - unbelievable! The manager are very friendly and available for making all your requests reality. Also breakfast and dinner are delicious: the young chef cooks very well. Perfect for honeymoon."

"Within moments of arriving at Ursula Camp we were whisked onto a Jeep for a night safari which gave a marvelous sighting of a black rhino mother and calf and a memorable dinner in the bush. Cedric our guide was highly informative and most impressive. We found the dinner bed and breakfast package good value with included transfers to town and a daily safari option. The first night we had the camp to ourselves and felt thoroughly pampered to have our own chef cooking breakfast in the morning. The camp was clean and the gardens very well-maintained. The chalets were very comfortable and the atmosphere wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. The staff were experienced and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I loved Ursula Camp, it was all we hoped for and more!"

"We booked 2 nights at the Old Ursula Camp as a stop off to Hwange National Park and had an amazing, unexpected stay. Old Ursula Camp is further out of Victoria Falls than we thought, but as soon as we arrived we were glad, as it's a beautiful small place with such quiet and relaxing surroundings - nothing you would get in Victoria Falls! We stayed in the master chalet which was beautifully decorated and good value for money. The food was really good, although a bit limited. The highlight was, however, having a safari on our doorstep. From sitting by the pool we could see zebra and kudu out in the grassy area beyond. We weren't going to do a safari as we were on our way to Hwange, but when we heard about the black rhino we decided to go for it - and it was the best decision we made as it turned out to be the best safari we did on our whole trip! We saw all of the BIG 5 on our nightime drive - incredible!!! Such an amazing experience. Our guide Richard was incredible - so knowledgeable. Make sure you ask for him if you go! Old Ursula Camp comes highly recommended if you are after an intimate, boutique and relaxing stay, with animals on your doorstep."
