Escape beyond contentment beneath the unforgettable glimmer of the Northern Cape skies at Mokala National Park. Mosu Lodge is situated in the southern region of the park, which is approximately 70km south-southwest of Kimberley, The park has a variety of koppievlek hill and large open plains with a variety of endangered spcies like roan, sable and tsessebe antelope. The layout of the camp is such that you cannot park your vehicle at your accommodation, they provide baggage trollies to take you baggage to and from your accommodation.

  • Four-bed Family Cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed, in the open plan kitchen/lounge there is a sleeper couch suitable for 2 children or 1 adult and 1 child. There is a bathroom with toilet and shower. A fully equipped kitchen (with fridge/freezer and microwave), indoor fireplace and airconditioner as well as DSTV 9Limited channels). Outside there is a gazebo with an outdoor braai.

  • Two-bed Bungalow has one bedroom with two single beds a bathroom with toilet and shower. A fully equipped kitchen (with fridge/freezer and microwave). Outside there is a gazebo with an outdoor braai.

  • Four-bed Luxury Bungalow has one bedroom with a queen size bed, in the open plan kitchen/lounge there is a sleeper couch suitable for 2 children or 1 adult and 1 child. Activities & Facilities

Mokala provides ample activities for the outdoor adventurer early morning, day, sunset and night game drives (bookable at reception on arrival). At the camp there is a sparkling swimming pool only for guests staying at the lodge. Excursions to view ancient rock art painting and engravings. Stofberg Bird-hide is a birders dream. Picnic areas at Matopi and Kameeldoring both with braai facilities and ablutions blocks.

It was our 2. stay in the Mokala National Park. It was again marvelous. Our wonderful Chalet Nr.2 was opposite the waterhole. All over the day and the evening we watched differnt kinds of spríngboks, oryx antilopes, warthogs, hartebeasts and other animals.

Mokala is a gentle peaceful haven - no predators, so the game is unstressed and relaxed. Booking in was pleasant and easy, our chalet was really comfortable, though could do with some sprucing up and the restaurant was excellent - particularly as the staff had to cope with load-shedding! All in all, a lovely place to spend a day or two.

We really enjoyed seeing many of the more rare antelope. The Camp was beautifully clean and the reception very pleasant. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was not being able to drive up to our accommodation to unload. However, we appreciate the reason being to keep the area around the bungalow in good condition. We also enjoyed the bird life very much.

Mosu Camp is wonderful - modern, with all the amenities, and a bonus is the floodlit waterhole, where we could watch the animals in the evening and at sunrise. The restaurant was attractive and the menu items well-priced and very tasty. The service was good and all the staff with whom we interacted were friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend Shann Shaw
Shann Shaw has been great to work with and she has tried her best to try to meet our budget expectations. She is very kind, responsive and detailed in her explanations and really, really helpful. When I told her I decided to book through expedia or booking, she still explained how everything worked and how these websites sometimes don't have all the details you need, yet, she work hard in getting us our flights and the hotel that we really wanted for this experience.
