  The Republic of Kenya with its 586,600km2 and about 34 million inhabitants is an East African country that lies along the Indian Ocean at the equator. The capital city of Kenya is Nairobi.
Kenya comprises eight provinces: Central, Coast, Eastern, Nairobi, North Eastern, Nyanza, Rift Valley and Western.

Geography
Kenya borders Ethiopia, Somalia and Sudan to the north, Tanzania and Mount Kilimanjaro to the south and Uganda and Lake Victoria to the west. 
Kenya has diverse topographical features like highlands with the Africa´s second highest snow capped mountain (Mt. Kenya) rising to a height of 5,199 meters, after Mt. Kilimanjaro ; the Great Rift Valley with its scarps and volcanoes, low lying arid and semi-arid lands, flat desert landscapes, coastal belt and coral reefs and islets.
Kenya has numerous wildlife reserves, containing a great number of wild animals, reptiles and birds. The Africa´s   "Big Five"-   lion, leopard, buffalo, rhinoceros and elephant can also be found there.
Climate
Kenya enjoys tropical climate. It is hot and humid at the coast, mild inland and very dry in the north and northeast parts of the country. There ´s   a rainy season from March to May and October to December and dry season from January to February and June to September.
It is usually sunny all the year round. However, nights and early mornings can be cool. Differences in temperature vary predictably with altitude. There is permanent snow and ice on top of Mt. Kenya at 5,200 m. The hottest areas are in the arid northeast, and west of Lake Turkana, where maximum temperatures reach over 34° C.
Health
Vaccines commonly recommended for travellers to Africa include those against: Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio, Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Yellow fever, Rabies, Meningitis. There is a certificate required against Yellow Fever for entry into, or travel between, some African countries.
In many parts of Africa access to sufficient health care can be hindered.  There is The Flying Doctor Service operated by AMREF, which provides emergency care to local communities in secluded regions and medical air evacuation service to tourists as well.
Transport
Kenya has three international airports: Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Moi International Airport in Mombasa and Moi International Airport in Eldoret that provide good connections to destinations throughout Europe, the Asia- Pacific region, USA and Africa.
One can access Kenya by road from Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Sudan and Somalia. Entry by sea is possible as well.

There is visa required to entry Kenya. No Visa is required for Persons aged 16 years and below.
