The story
A bit of Singita history.
Singita was founded in 1993 by Luke Bailes, on land his grandfather acquired in the Sabi Sand in 1926. What began as a single lodge in South Africa has grown into a family-owned collection of seventeen properties across Tanzania, Rwanda, Zimbabwe and South Africa, all under one quiet philosophy: extraordinary places, lightly trodden.
Today Singita protects more than half a million acres of African wilderness through its non-profit funds, which channel a meaningful share of every booking back into anti-poaching, community partnerships, and habitat restoration. The lodges are a means to that end.

The Singita way
Why Singita.
A Singita stay is intimate by design. Vehicle ratios are kept low, guides are senior, and the lodges hold themselves to a standard of architectural restraint that lets the bush do the talking.
For our specialists, Singita is the brand we send guests to when they want the quiet end of the spectrum. Design-led, conservation-anchored, no compromise on either.
