Travel Insurance - your 100% refundable booking

We did extensive research and have teamed up with SATIB, a leading local travel insurance company based in South Africa.

Up until 25 March 2026, we are including complimentary BRONZE travel insurance with all bookings.

Please note: Your travel insurance is activated upon receipt of your deposit and the issuance of your official policy documents. To avoid any gaps in coverage, please ensure all required traveler details are submitted to your concierge immediately. Final activation is contingent upon the client providing this necessary information in a timely manner.

We have set up a company-level agreement that provides an extremely competitive offering for comprehensive travel insurance.

This means that when you book through SAFARI.COM you can enjoy the convenience of travel insurance being added at discount rates.

There are multiple options to choose from - BRONZE, GOLD, GOLD + BUY UP 2. We highly suggest subscribing to at least the entry level BRONZE insurance.

For convenience here is a quick summary of the coverage:

• Coverage applies to full trip including accommodation, flights, car hire
• Applies to all travelers less than 80 years of age
• We'll even add items not booked through SAFARI.COM (e.g. your international flights) to your policy
• 100% refundable booking (up to R85k per person included in BRONZE), if trip cancelled for a variety of reasons
• Upgrade to GOLD + BUY UP 2 to even get full cover, namely "cancellaton for any reason"
• Emergency Medical, Transportation or Evacuation and Repatriation
• Missed connections, travel delays, overbooked flight
• Rental vehicle excess
• Luggage
• Theft
• Upgrade to GOLD to include Political evacuation, natural disaster evacuation
• Rapid disbursement, funds typically paid out in 24 - 48h

After COVID19, everyone became more sensitive to the risks of travel plans, along with the uncertainty around the safety of funds paid over for a trip long in advance.
