Sausage Tree Safari Camp is nestled in the Olifants West Nature Reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park, a haven for Africa’s iconic Big Five. Spanning approximately 3500 hectares, including 5 kilometers along the Olifants River, the camp offers a genuine safari experience marked by vast wilderness and rich biodiversity.
No children under the age of 6 are allowed unless the entire Safari Camp has been booked by the same group or family. In this case, children under 6 are subject to management decisions.
Children aged 6 years or older must be constantly supervised by their parents and remain under adult supervision at all times. Please ensure that children do not disturb the peace or rest of other guests, both at the lodge and during safaris.
Strategically located among Marula, Acacia, and Sausage trees, Sausage Tree Safari Camp boasts a prime position with spectacular views extending over a waterhole and sweeping toward the majestic Drakensberg range. The camp features five luxurious, African-styled safari tents, thoughtfully placed to maximize serene views of the dry river bed, dense bush, and the Northern Drakensberg Mountains.
With accommodations for a maximum of 10 guests per night, each tent provides privacy and a unique vantage point over the landscape. Each tent includes an en-suite bathroom, complete with a bathtub and an invigorating outdoor shower. For year-round comfort, eco-friendly air conditioners ensure cool summer evenings or warmth during colder winter nights.
Additionally, each tent has its own private deck, ideal for unwinding and taking in the expansive views of the mountains and the undisturbed African bush. Every stay at Sausage Tree Safari Camp guarantees an unforgettable escape into the wild.

Went through Newmarket travel and Hays…
Went through Newmarket travel and Hays travel ..information about flight changes hard to get..but on arrival the holiday was taken over Safari.com..amazing ..experience everything was fine tuned and the staff ..guides drivers fabulous and friendly ..lots of knowledge..lots of fun and the surprises they did was so lovely ...loved every minute ..Paris our guide was amazing..10/10 and Eric driver ..the waiters and waitress every and everyone in the hotels .smiling and friendly..Best holiday of my life

Working with Anja at Safari.com was great. She was able to work some magic and got us a few nights at the safari lodge we really wanted, Ngoma. Unfortunately, our flight from the USA to South Africa was canceled and we were rebooked a day later but Anja was great about making sure our lodge and the transports knew about the change in plans and made sure we got to our trip as soon as we could. She was a great partner to have and communicated quickly whenever we reached out. I would highly recommend using her when planning a trip to Africa!
