Sausage Tree Safari Camp is nestled in the Olifants West Nature Reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park, a haven for Africa’s iconic Big Five. Spanning approximately 3500 hectares, including 5 kilometers along the Olifants River, the camp offers a genuine safari experience marked by vast wilderness and rich biodiversity.
No children under the age of 6 unless the whole Safari Camp has been booked by the same group/family, in this case, children under are subject to management decisions.
Children of 6 years or older must be permanently overseen by their parent[s] and so have adult supervision at all times and they please must not disturb the calm or rest of other guests at the lodge and while on safari.
Strategically placed among Marula, Acacia, and Sausage trees, Sausage Tree Safari Camp boasts a prime location with spectacular views that extend over a waterhole and sweep towards the majestic Drakensberg range. The camp features 5 luxurious, African-styled safari tents, thoughtfully positioned to maximize the serene views of the dry river bed, dense bush, and the Northern Drakensberg Mountains. Designed to accommodate a maximum of 10 guests per night, each tent offers privacy and a unique vantage point over the landscape.
Each tent includes an en-suite bathroom complete with a bath and an invigorating outdoor shower. For year-round comfort, eco-friendly air conditioners can cool the warm summer evenings or provide heat during the chillier winter nights. Furthermore, each tent has its own private deck, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the expansive views of the mountains and the undisturbed African bush, making every stay at Sausage Tree Safari Camp an unforgettable escape into the wild.

South Africa & Mauritius honeymoon
Its been fantastic to work with Leché from over the last number of days in planning our honeymoon. Leché has been excellent with communication, approachable and affable. It was a great experience dealing with Shann. She was most accommodating and patient. We managed to sort things out very eventually. The only sore point I have is the 2 % surcharge for the card handling fee, which I find too excessive. Otherwise, I am pleased with everything.

Trip to Kruger at Mdluli Safari Lodge
I loved working with Anja from safari.com. She put together my itinerary within my price range and was very professional, thorough and empathetic. She followed up with me many times to see if I needed anything throughout my trip and even filled out some forms for me when I was having difficulty. When the lodge I stayed at was not being accommodating in the slightest, she quickly contacted the manager and got them to rearrange their services to meet my needs. I would most certainly use safari.com again due to my wonderful experience working with Anja.

Nicole at Safari.com is AMAZING!!!
I would love to share my experience with Nicole. She has worked tirelessly to help me make my dream vacation a reality. I had no idea how to start planning. Nicole suggested the most wonderful South African resorts and safaris. No matter how many changes I threw her way it was always received with a happy, positive attitude. I live in Hawaii and even though we were on a 12 hour time difference she was always available to answer any questions or concerns. Her expertise, knowledge and patience are unmeasurable. I was plagued with numerous payment issues from my bank in Hawaii. Nicole never wavered from being patience and more importantly positive that we could resolve each issue and get my trip booked. Nicole is a huge asset to Safari.com and I will scream it from the mountains to let everyone know what excellent customer service I have received. Nicole is a ROCKSTAR!!!
