"Our first stop on a ten day four property family safari! Beyond words. The lodge has just been redecorated in a chic Ralph Lauren-ish Safari Style, and is very comfortable. The food is top of the line - as good as any restaurant in the world. The staff and guides could not have been more professional and friendly. All I can say is: You must stay at this property at least once in your lifetime!!"

"What a wonderful weekend we had at Singita Ebony Lodge. We were treated like royalty and the level of service, service, service and more service are absolutely amazing. This has to be the best place I have been to thus far. Nothing can match Singita style!"

"You could not ask for more, seriously the best accommodation I have ever stayed at. The food was phenomenal, the staff was outstanding, the accommodations are breathtaking, the scenery extraordinary, if there is a trip of a lifetime to save for, this is it!"

"I have never experienced such a wonderfully inviting place to stay. The staff were so welcoming and the guide and tracker were both phenomenal. It has to rank in my top 5 places ever. The accommodation was stunning with glorious views, The food was immense in both amounts and flavours. I cannot praise it higher and would go back tomorrow. The feeling on departure was one of great sadness as we felt we'd really made friends.Thank you for such a fantastic Singita Ebony Lodge - worth every single penny."

"Too much to say in one review. Animals beyond belief, a facility of great beauty, a staff that is so attentive, so friendly, everything you could wish for is already thought of. Amazing food. Private pools. We said to someone how much we loved the little library, next thing we know the staff set up a private dinner for us In the library !! Who does that ? It's not inexpensive, but quality isn't cheap, especially with so few rooms, and it is worth EVERY PENNY."

"My wife had been on safari while on a business trip a few years ago, and when we planned our honeymoon she pushed for safari. I'd say she 'won', but really, I won too. The experience of staying at Singita Ebony was outstanding. Having never been on safari myself, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. We were met at the landing strip by our tracker, who drove us through Sabi Sands to our lodge. We were greeted by the wonderful staff and shown to our room. The accommodations were exactly what you'd expect for a safari lodge...very rustic and traditional, but everything was top notch. The setting was perfect. We ate our meals outside overlooking the river, enjoying the most amazing food. And, the food never ended. There was an early-morning breakfast before the game drive, a light snack while on the drive, breakfast right after the drive, lunch (we skipped) about an hour later, another snack before the evening game drive, a snack on the evening game drive and dinner afterwards. The game drives were amazing. Our guide and tracker were enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and they always tried to make sure we had the best possible experience. We had some good luck and saw four of the big five throughout our four game drives, plus lots of other animals along the way. Having now also visited Singita Sweni, I can say that Singita Ebony is a really great "safari for rookies". It's exactly what you'd want from a luxury safari experience in every possible way. Sweni was amazing too, but very different One of the things that made the Singita experience so great was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, excited to share in our safari experience and ensure that we had the best possible time during our short stay. It really made for such an amazing trip and we can't wait to go back on another safari trip...likely in another location, but most definitely at another Singita property."

"This lodge is perfection because of excellent, hands on management and a truly dedicated staff! Outstanding food! Every meal was delicious and individually prepared and then served by one's personal butler. We had an elegant dinner with wine pairings set up on the air strip which had been turned into a wonderland of white sparkling lights. One of the game viewing highlights for me was a lonely ostrich who joined us for sun downers one evening. She approached with no fear but fluttered her wings and delicately bowed her head like a ballerina en pointe. It was magic. Believe it or not we went back another day and she approached us again! for anyone looking for the unusual and unique the gift shop is unbelievable. This is the Neiman Marcus of the bush. Fabulous! I had my first female guide after many years of safari and she was top notch. Thank you Daniella."

"We went the first time for a safari and were so happy that we chose Ebony. The stay was part of our honeymoon and we will never forget it. The staff was just excellent, friendly and very competent - this includes service, chef, sommelier and of course the guide and tracker. We so much enjoyed the room with the little private pool and the luxury in the lodge. The design of the lodge is great and was just renovated - held in the traditional old safari/colonial style. The room was very spacious and overlooking the river where one day elephants showed up another day some monkeys and a rhino. What more can you want?!?!"

"Having recently spent a few days at Singita Ebony Lodge I can say that anyone who wants to visit the African bush should have this lodge as their number 1 destination. The setting was extraordinary and the best hotel room ever. Having a private pool and such opulence in the bush was very special. The staff from Matt at the front desk through to the rangers were great friends who made the whole experience even more memorable. Highlights were the decor of the rooms, the fresh food especially the Boma dining, the game drives with drinks served by the rangers, the service in every section and the sheer indulgence allowed throughout the property. Very opulent experience!"

"Ebony is just restyled so it was even more beautiful than we could have seen on the pictures. The view from the lodges over the river is like a dream, just sitting on the veranda of your lodge and you will see so many animals passing. We had Adries and Martin as our ranger and tracker and the did a wonderful job to see so many beautiful animals."
