Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge is nestled in a dense growth of acacia trees in adjacent to a gentle natural spring. Mount Kilimanjaro creates the most magnificent backdrop to this resort and stands at 6, 000 meters high. As you arrive at the lodge you will observe something that is part if the dedication to conserving the fragile environment of the African bush. Guests are invited to plant a tree assisting in the reestablishing of a forest that was becoming barren land from the herds of elephants tearing up the trees for food.
The lodge blends effortlessly into the landscape and was build with conservation in mind and by preserving the ecology through its sensitive materials used in the building process. Each of the 96 bedrooms is unique with African murals painted by local artists, masai crafts and motifs that bring Africa into this living space. The rooms also enjoy uninterrupted views of the savannah and African sunsets. You will be interested to know that the swimming pool is filled with fresh water from a spring flowing from Mount Kilimanjaro.

"Wonderful stay We stayed two nights in October and found the staff excellent. Our room was comfortable, and was fitted with mozzie nets. The bed was good, room was clean and compact. The shower was one of the better ones we experienced in Africa. There is no air conditioning in the room but that seems fairly normal in Kenya. The food was good at all the meals we had. We tried the massage too and it was excellent!"

"Comfortable and gorgeous views! Our room was very large, clean, and comfortable. It opened out onto a terrace and the monkeys like to come up and visit. The staff was so helpful and the bush dinner was fantastic. The game drives with our guide Evans was always a success in great sightings. He was so incredibly knowledgeable in the animals and the location. He has been guiding for 16 years. I had a massage while there and it was one of the best ever. All the meals were delicious and the chef was amazing!"
