"This is a first class hotel and accommodations. A Irish men is the manager and interestingly he has given local women the senior jobs usually reserved for men. women are the guides and in position of management which is usually exclusively a male dominated situation. this is located right on the river and you can touch Namibia. the elephant herds number in the 100's here and that is very unique for not many places left on the continent support the large herds because of the great need for grazing for these magical animals. They take morning swims across the river to an island to graze and to witness up close but respectable distance and see moms shuttle babies and young males is hard to describe without having the experience. worth the trip will change your life."

"The lodge is excellent and the restaurant and bar are very good. We did the River Safari as well as the land safari. It is interesting to note that all of the guides a female. The were exceptional and we were able to see 4 of the big ones. Still looking for the leopards!"

"What a wonderful experience we had at Chobe Game Lodge. The rooms, service and setting is excellent. There were special arrangements for each meal, from romantic candle light dinners by the pool, to a bush braai and we even had a private dinner, secretly arranged by them, at our room. The safari guides are very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the boat and road safari's thoroughly."

"What a wonderful place to experience the best in African safaris, meals and exciting experiences. The animal viewing was amazing and the best I have experienced having been to three other parks. The meals and the venue for each meal ,which changes every night were amazing. The staff were most accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended."

"I really enjoyed staying at the Chobe Game Lodge. The staff was always helpful and welcoming and the game drives were awesome. Loved being on the river as you saw the animals from a different perspective. Everything about the lodge was terrific: rooms, food and especially the game drives."

"I loved staying at Chobe Game Lodge and my only regret is that I could not stay longer. The accommodation and staff and food was all great but the boat safari was incredible. Our guide was Maude and she was brilliant and I even saw a fish eagle swoop down and catch a fish, it was awesome. The walkways at Chobe Game Lodge allows you to sit on the deck and watch herds of elephant and other game come down to the Chobe River to drink. It really does make a difference staying inside The Chobe National Park and was really worth it. Thanks Vincent and your team for your hospitality."

"We stayed three nights at the lodge situated on the banks of the Chobe River. Aside from the good food and excellent service we had several successful and stunning game drives and river cruises. The sunsets were those that the world"s image of a typical African sunset, full of drama colour and then a feeling of peace."

"Top notch, top quality establishment. Great location, enthralling activities, knowledgeable guides, great food, friendly and attentive service, creative dinner settings. We enjoyed every minute of our time here. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation."

"We spent 3 wonderful nights at Chobe Game Lodge in mid August. From the airport pick up at Kasane, the short drive to the lodge, the welcome, the rooms, the facilities were great. Very relaxing place, great food and drink. The staff was excellent too, particularly the lady tour guides. They were safe, knowledgeable and fun. We saw 4 out of the Big 5 (didn't see a rhino), lots of plains game and loads of elephants. Lots of lions, eating on kills too. Wonderful experience and hope to go back. Great weather too! Cool mornings required a light jacket, but late morning and afternoons were perfect sunny days."

"This was the first of 4 camps we visited during our Safari holiday October 2014. The facilities at the lodge are very good, with really comfortable rooms. The staff were very helpful and the food good. The 2 game drives and the river cruise during one day meant an early start (wake up 4.30am) which after the second day was quite tiring but well worth it. We stayed 3 nights which we felt was about right. The guides were really knowledgeable and made sure we saw all the animals. We saw 4 of the 'Big 5' (there were no rhinos which we knew about) in the first day and a half. The river cruises on the Chobe river gave very good views of the animals, especially the elephants. To sum up, a visit to this camp will not disappoint, in fact it exceeded our expectations, this being our first safari."

"A wonderful place at Chobe River. The Rooms are Standard but in good condition. The Garden is excellent, wild animals crossing your way while walking to breakfast. Guides are excellent, very patient and professional. The Service staff are like working there and doing a great professional Job. Walking along the boardwalk is an awesome experience."

"This was truly a magical place the lodge was opulent you felt you were on a Northern African style movie set. This was the last lodge on our Botswana itinerary, stayed 2 nights at five different venues in Botswana and all fantastic. The staff really friendly and so helpful, Bee our guide was excellent really knowledgeable, having 2 Game drives and a river cruise a day was a bonus. The river cruise was excellent I could have stayed on the boat watching the elephants and hippos all day. Got to witness elephants swimming across the river in single file to Namibia was magical, so many elephants groups coming down to the river to play in a parade of families, took your breath away. The staff had champagne and nibbles in the room for our anniversary on arrival and organised a special private dinner on the deck over looking the water it was just so special. the food was incredible, the only downside was too many safari trucks at one sighting but not the lodges fault safari drives come in from all over. Highly recommended. If you want a more personal lodge opt for the smaller one that only have up to 26 guests at a time."

"I spent 3 days in Chobe Game Lodge and i have only one word: AMAZING!! 3 safari per day, alternate 1 with jeep and 1 with boat and we had the chance to see a lot of animals. All inclusive with great quality of food, staff was helpful and beautiful quite room! We were in honeymoon trip and the staff organize a surprise dinner on the swimming pool without asking anything...wonderful! For sure is a little bit expensive, but the price reflects the quality and the beautiful position of the lodge!"

"We spent two nights at Chobe Game Lodge within Chobe National Park. Gorgeous lodge, beautifully decorated in a relaxed African style. Our room was huge with our own plunge pool. Lovely idea but there is barely time to use it as there are 3 games activities on offer per day leaving hardly any time in your room to relax. We were blown away by the number of elephants we saw as well as 3 prides of lion, hippos galore both in and out of the water, giraffe, zebra and many many birds. We also saw a leopard in a tree which was amazing. Our driver, RB, worked very hard to give us the best game experience both on land and on the electric boat. It was a trip for our anniversary and they organised a private dinner on one night for us complete with singing from the choir at the end. We are very grateful to Maria and the staff who really made our trip special."

"We had the best experience here ever! The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful and the setting on the banks of the river made it so much more special. We loved being able to do land safaris and water safaris on the same day....it gives one 2 very different perspectives of this area. The food was outstanding as was the service.....our group of 12 was made to feel incredibly welcome and special during our stay. The guides are the best we encountered anywhere.......so knowledgeable, friendly, and interesting.......we were very impressed by their commitment and service to us as well as the park itself. This was our first stop on our tour of African safaris and we saw everything right here at Chobe Park........it was amazing! The vehicles we travelled in here at the lodge were our favourite from all the other safaris; plus the driving was excellent. The swimming pool was great although we were so busy on our tours there wasn't much time to relax......but I am not complaining about that. The dinners were exceptional......our first night a special dinner away from the regular dining area was set up for our group and it was pure magic. The second evening was the dinner (bbq) down by the river bank and that was fantastic plus great live music as well. The only down part was leaving.........truly hope to be back one day!"

"Chobe Game Lodge was considerably more than we expected. The accommodations were excellent as were the meals. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and clearly enjoyed serving their guests. This was definitely a 5 star Lodge. Most importantly, we had an exceptional, knowledgeable guide, Lynn, who went out of her way to track down the "big game" and position us for the best viewing both in the land vehicle and on the pontoon boat. Chobe Game Lodge has the benefit of being located on the Chobe River in the park giving guests the opportunity to see a host of wildlife on land and from the river. We were fortunate to see up close lions, elephants, a leopard, water buffalo, antelope, giraffes, zebra, hypos, and many other wildlife species during our 2 days in this region of Chobe National Park."

"Chobe Game Lodge is certified as Eco friendly by Botswana and it is luxurious without being stuffy ! Imagine our surprise at seeing a Land Rover plugged into an electrical outlet... They also have an electric boat which is very quiet and causes so pollution to the river.. This beautiful lodge is located inside Chobe National Park and on the banks of the Chobe River and every room has a lovely view. The rooms are very well appointed and include a Victorian style deep soaker tub as well as a shower. The amount of game available for viewing was incredible and we saw herds upon herds of elephants numbering 50 and more drinking and playing in the water as well as having great mud baths.. Absolutely amazing ! Because of the location we were treated to both land and water 'game drives' and saw everything from giraffes, zebras, a pride of 7 lionesses basking in the sunshine to crocodiles, hippos, and many varieties of antelope and bird life.. Chobe Game Lodge's guides are all female and our 'Vivian' was an encyclopedia of knowledge and information about the animals/birds and area.. We were so pleased to see that CGL has empowered women of Botswana and have them in their employ by merit alone ! When chatting with the staff during meal times it was also apparent that their employer is very forward thinking and supports their people if they want to change their status.. The charming server we were talking to said that she wanted to move into the kitchen to get some experience towards becoming a pastry chef and that the company fully supported her... A very refreshing change and it was very obvious that the staff are happy in their workplace... Along with wonderful lodgings, staff, and game viewing the food was also amazing !! The dining room is very comfortable for all meals but they make their dinner service a very special occasion... We went for what we thought would be a lovely meal in the dining room and both nights we were escorted to other areas of the property for incredible candle lit dinners.. The experience on the view deck with a pair of elephants not too far away was above & beyond anything we could have dreamed of ! A pathway lit with lanterns ushered us to a lovely area where we relaxed with great wine and an astonishing meal!! We would like to thank Vincent Kokomane and all the incredible staff for making us feel so welcomed and pampered!"

"We spend two nights here and had a range of wonderful experiences when on safari drives. Our guide (Neo) was great, knew a grew deal about the animals and managed to 'be there first' in seeing a wide range of wildlife. The location of the lodge is terrific - being inside the national park and next to the river. The sight of seeing elephants swimming across the river was something to behold. The accommodation was top quality and the food excellent. The staff across the lodge were friendly and obliging. All in all it was an amazing time and I highly recommend the lodge."

"I had a fantastic stay at Chobe Game Lodge last August. Everything was absolutely perfect. The room very comfortable and the bathroom absolutely fantastic. The position on the river really amazing. The staff very kind and helpful, you felt pampered. Among the activities what I liked best was the boat safari, I saw all kinds of wild animals on the shore, or swimming or playing in the water or drinking. And the light... there are no words to depict it. Chobe Game Lodge is worth the money you spend!"
