Explore the wild splendor of Mont Eco Game Reserve, sprawling across 6,500 hectares (16,000 acres) in the heart of the Klein Karoo, Western Cape. Journey through time as you discover the reserve's rich historical tapestry, from ancient Bushman paintings to fossils that chronicle a history spanning thousands of years.
Children of all ages are welcome at the reserve. Child-minding services and private vehicles are available on request for an extra charge. However, no child under the age of 3 is allowed on game drives.
Indulge in the luxury of standalone 80 m² suites, each equipped with standard optical fibre Wi-Fi and a ceiling fan. Revel in the opulence of an African Khoi San bath and enjoy your private deck overlooking a seasonal river. The suites include a spacious lounge area, perfect for families, complete with a specially crafted sofa bed for children.
Mont Eco offers a range of facilities designed for comfort and convenience. Wi-Fi is available throughout the main lodge areas, including a lounge with comfortable seating and a fireplace for colder months. Additionally, the Breakfast Dome offers a separate area overlooking the cottages, ideal for enjoying breakfast by the fireplace during the colder months.
The lodge has a viewing area that overlooks the main lodge and bush surroundings, perfect for enjoying a sundowner cocktail, morning coffee, or stargazing. Guests can relax on the pool deck and bar lounge or enjoy lunch in the sun.
Additional amenities include a curio shop and wine cellar, a games room equipped with a big-screen TV, DSTV, a pool table, and various other games.
Mont Eco Game Reserve is home to iconic Karoo wildlife, including Brown Hyena, Aardvark, Oryx, and Klipspringer, as well as reintroduced herds of Eland, Springbok, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and the African Big Five—Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo.

Safari.com is excellent!
Working with Safari.com has been efficient and pleasant. I reached out with an email and received a fairly quick reply. Narine was an excellent agent who worked through my interests and needs. She was able to recommend places to stay and made trip packages easily and promptly. She also gave other extra information for my travel that was very helpful. She even quickly adjusted my travel package when I needed to make a change. I would highly recommend Safari and Narine. I look forward to my trip!

Excellent Pre-Trip Planning and Booking Assistance
We have not yet done the trip, but the planning process working with Safari.com has gone very smoothly. The agent who worked with me listened to my interests and requirements and proposed an itinerary that meets those needs perfectly. She was professional and responsive despite the 9-hour time difference between us. I would not hesitate to engage Safari.com again for future trips to South Africa.
