The mobile Olakira Migration Camp follows the wildebeest migration around the Serengeti, from the epic river crossings in the north to the southern plains where they give birth to thousands of calves each year. Stay with us to witness the greatest animal migration in the world.
Between June and October, Olakira is located in the north to witness the crossing of the Mara River. Here, you can watch thousands of wildebeest take a leap of faith into the water, facing hungry Nile crocodiles and cantankerous hippos. When the herds are on the move, the air is full of grunting, the thudding of hooves, and billowing dust.
From December until March, the camp moves to the southern plains of the Serengeti, where the wildebeest give birth and graze on lush grass. Predators such as lions and cheetahs gather to prey on the young.
Even at night, the Olakira Migration Camp experience is special. Our mesh-covered stargazing tents allow guests to sleep under a sky of glittering stars.
There are nine tents at Olakira Migration Camp, including one with two bedrooms ideally suited to families. The tents have king-sized beds (twin beds are also available) and en suite bathrooms with flushing toilets and hot-water bucket showers.
The tents have been perfectly designed for stargazing. A portion of each tent has a 270° view from beneath a net, offering you the best of the outdoors while remaining indoors. At night, roll your bed into the meshed area to spend the night with the stars glittering above, dreaming about the day’s adventures. It truly is an experience you don’t want to miss.

Seamless, Stress-Free Safari Planning – An Unforgettable Experience
From the moment I sent an enquiry, Kim Abraham made the entire process seamless and effortless. Her replies were fast, thorough and incredibly helpful. She provided excellent recommendations and even secured a hold on the hotel we were interested in before we booked it, as there was only one room left (I did check directly with the hotel and was told they were fully booked!). Kim arranged every detail of our safari - flights, accommodation, park fees, everything - and the entire trip ran flawlessly. Entim Mara (the camp she recommended) was absolutely incredible, easily one of the highlights of our trip and provided the most magical experience. We would wholeheartedly recommend Kim and would book another trip with her in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Experience
Very nice experience at Kapama River Lodge, the view is stunning and we are super close to wildlife animals on safari game drive. We are very lucky that all the BIG FIVES have been sighted during the 2-day stay. Accommodation is luxury and you can have good rest and fun after safari game drive. All of there wonderful things are based on Kim Abrahams's perfect work and her recommendation. Great thanks to Kim Abrahams, she is very patient and professional and always provides the best offer.
