Just three hours’ drive from Cape Town along the scenic Route 62, Sanbona sprawls across 54 000 hectares of rugged mountains and vast plains. Sanbona is home to an impressive variety of succulents, birds, and wildlife, including the only free-roaming white lions in the world.
Surrounded by spectacular ancient rock formations and on a horseshoe bend of a dry Karoo ravine dotted with thorn trees, Sanbona Dwyka Tented Lodge offers guests a secluded and luxurious safari adventure. A pioneering ambiance envelops guests in this awe-inspiring location, once the domain of Khoisan hunter-gatherers. The friendly staff provides excellent service to ensure guests a comfortable and memorable stay.
Dwyka Tented Lodge’s nine indulgently appointed luxury tents offer accommodation for a maximum of eighteen guests in either king-size or twin beds. The spacious tents have sumptuous open plan bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. Each tent offers a private secluded deck with a refreshing spa bath, offering magnificent views over the stark, rugged landscape. Small touches, such as an African legend on your pillow each night, are indicative of the great attention to detail of the lodge.
The lodge facilities include an open-air dining boma, lounge with fireplace, satellite television, wine cellar, gift boutique, two spa therapy rooms, and Wi-Fi.
Sanbona offers the Big Five and has the only free-roaming self-sustaining white lions in the world. The reserve is home to a variety of large and small antelope, zebra and wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, cheetah, and small game such as black-backed jackal and caracal. Evening game drives provide the opportunity to see nocturnal creatures, such as the aardwolf, brown hyena, and porcupine.
Activities offered on the reserve include game drives, nature walks, spa treatments, San rock art, boat safaris, and stargazing.

Keith - best travel agent in the world
Keith is such an amazing communicator, very organised and helpful. This will be my first ever visit to the Kruger national park. As a fellow South African I never had the chance to visit the Kruger NP. Keith sent us voice recordings and I cried listening to his accent and hearing the beautiful nature in the background bringing back so many fond memories of our beautiful country. These messages were so special! I can’t wait to visit and am really looking forward to the most magical experience.
