"This is sumptuous luxury taken to a fabulous level supported by both professional friendly service. We were picked up inn an open landrover with well chilled section of drinks and driven to Londolozi. The journey through Sabi Sands gazing at the giraffe and impalas was breathtaking but on arrival we were met by Graham with cool towels and let to a stunning reception area open to the river granites water pools trees animals. I could go on forever. There are only 3 suits here and the attention to detail is superb. Everything you could possibly need and more is here. Our living room had enormous picture windows a bar with things you actually want. Everything is stylish with a gorgeous deck plunge pool with a water fall overlooking spectacular scenery outside bath and shower. Every tiny detail I looked after. Graham our butler was beyond super as was Robbie who served us breakfast on an open deck with whatever your heart desired. A passing comment that we liked curry and picnics and hey presto it was magically done. The game drives with Tom and Jerry the tracker were an eye opener. Leopards with their cubs. Hyenas with their kill. Lioness and the information that Tom has at his fingertips is eye opening. Big and friendly he made every drive a new experience. Dinner in Boma (British officers mess area ) a shielded area was magically lit by candles with the most amazing beef. Sundowners are just on a different level. Tom took us every sunset to a more magical place than before. One evening a surprise was done in the middle of the bush for sundowners with candles everywhere little bites to tempt you before dinner and watching jackals and Zebras in the distance. Yes this is super luxury which easily could have jarred in the bush but it works because it so so sympathetically done to merge with nature. I loved this place the service the calm the humour. Everyone makes you feel special. The Londolozi philosophy toward their visitors and staff is one which should be all hoteliers goal. I visited their other camps Varty founders Pioneers which though are simpler category are just as stunning. I will I hope go again."
"This is the culmination of a trip of a lifetime for us. We have been travelers all over the world but never experienced anything like this. The level of service. The anticipation of your needs but not being intrusive. (We are private people in many ways so this was important to us). The rooms are huge. Very comfortable. They have every amenity you could desire. The food is terrific. Service is top notch. Our game drives were really epic every day. We had some excitement. Some tracking find that surprised us. Our tracker Elmon is the best. The Nduna(chief). Our ranger Amy was a wealth of information. She could break things down all the way to the biology and physiology of individual animal encounters. For a couple of science types like my wife and myself this was important. Graham was the best director of events. Nomsa and Robbie kept us well fed and happy. I can't write enough superlatives here."
"There's no words to describe the level of accommodation, service, food quality or beauty of this reserve. However this does not compare to the accommodating and welcoming staff, who do anything and everything to ensure your comfort. (Hint: my wife in casual conversation mentioned I liked PB&J sandwiches. Next day they they were there for me). The game drives!!! Unbelievable!!! We saw everything. Leopards, elephants, lions, cheetah, rhino, hippos, kills, mating of leopards, beautiful birds, lemurs etc, etc. Shaun and Robert were the absolute best ranger and tracker team we could have asked for. Would we return? Already making plans. Our camp manager, Tayla was so very accommodating and informative, as were the numerous staff there to see to your every wish. You have to experience this place."
"My family rented the granite suites for 4 nights and we had an amazing time! The staff literally took care of us and we had the most amazing safari trips ever. This is the only place I will ever stay when I visit the Sabi Sands!"
"My husband and I stayed in Granite suite 3 in January this year. It was the first safari lodge of the four we stayed in, 2 in South Africa and 2 in Tanzania. We have traveled extensively and stayed in grand accommodation but Londolozi would have to be one of the best if not the best we have ever experienced. The property is exceptionally well run and this shows through the entire experience. The accommodation fantastic in all respects. Lucien our guide was wonderful and he went to great efforts to line up great great shots for the photo enthusiasts with amazing cameras (of which my husband and I were not). Only after we had experienced another 3 safari places did we truly understand what an exceptional job he had done. My particular interest is in insects and I was very touched by Lucien finding a dung ball the size of a tennis ball for me. Nadia took wonderful care of us at the lodge and I can't thank her enough for her flexibility. From the moment we were picked up at the landing strip to the time we were dropped off it was an amazing experience. The animals, the people, the food the service and the accommodation all wonderful. I could not recommend Londolozi highly enough."
"We are a family of three ladies from Ireland and have spent 4 fantastic Christmas safari trips in the Granite Suites in Londolozi . We always stay in Granite Suite Two as the view from there is simply Amazing! This year we had some great Game viewing from our pool area while resting between the Game Drives. Lucian was our Game guide and he went out of his way to show us some unusual sights knowing that we are regular travelers. This year was the year for all the baby's and Lucian made sure that we saw them all. We saw what nearly was a kill, that would have been a first for us but the but the Buffalo got away from the lions who all scraped his back in trying to pull him down. Lucians experience and his manner with his guests makes him the perfect Guide . Nadia looked after our every need when we were not on Safari and together they made a perfect team . On Christmas Eve David and Kate who previously managed the Granite Suite joined us to celebrate Christmas which made the night very special. There are so many beautiful places in the world to visit but in our experience none have measured up to the wonderful experience that we have had every time we visit the Granite Suites. Seeing is believing so go. You will not regret it and you will not be disappointed. We have already booked for new year 2016. The resort manager Duncan has the x Factor for us and we will continue to visit Duncan and the team of Londolozi as often as we can ."
"I can only add to the well-deserved praise for Londolozi and the Granite Suites. Game-viewing was amazing, thanks to our excellent guide, Lucien, and tracker, James. Over three days, we saw the "big five" in a single day (two game drives), as well as a leopardess nursing her cubs, another tracking a herd of impala (with us following her through the bush), a cheetah chasing several steinbok and killing one, "fishing" by crocodiles and an eagle, hundreds of cape buffalo, and numerous elephants and rhino. Our suite was private, luxurious and spectacularly located over the river. The Granite manager, Nadia, and her staff, were perfect: friendly, welcoming, helpful and enthusiastic. Meals, too, were excellent. Don't change a thing. We can't wait to return."
"We have stayed 3 nights inside Londolozi Reserve in the Private Granite Suites and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The location of the 5 lodges is perfect, in front of the Sand River, with a whole lot of animals parading in front of the decks and rooms. But having visited the other lodges, I still prefer the view of the Granite Suites. The reserve is amazingly beautiful and our ranger Richard was our great host in the bush: he and tracker Lucky provided with 6 game drives, one better than the other: lions, three leopard spottings, some rare cheetahs, not to speak of whole families and elephants and hippos, zebras and giraffes, tons of gnus, impalas, waterbuck. Richard was not only very professional and clearly loves the bush and knows it intimately, but is also a kind man, a very good storyteller and a great company. Erin was our lovely host at the lodge and did her best to make us feel comfortable. I had my birthday there and she organized lovely surprises, such a boma and a special appearance of the ladies' choir. Really unforgettable. We wouldn't think twice of returning if we have the opportunity of coming again to South Africa. We already miss the camp and all the great experiences we had there."
"From the moment we arrived at this beautiful oasis in the gorgeous Kruger Park area we were treated like Royalty. Our ranger, Lucien, was a continual wealth of knowledge and answered every question we had about the game and birds as if he was a walking textbook. He, like his darling friend, Nadia, were the best hosts and even shared meals with us. The food was great and very plentiful and the special things that they did for us were big surprises. My favorite was the cocktail party in the river!!! The suite was beautiful and so well kept. Of course we loved the plunge pool especially when some game would walk by. The massages were as good as any I have had anywhere and we really enjoyed our visit to the staff village where we learned more about tribal life. We will never forget this visit to our South African paradise. Thanks to all who made our trip special especially Lucien, Nadia, Momsa and James our valiant tracker!"
"We stayed here for a portion of our honeymoon - and it was unforgettable. The animals are amazing, the very private safari experience outstanding, the rooms exquisite - our suite about the size of our summer house! - but most of all the people and service were amazing. Jess, Rich, Oxide, Johanne, and others took great care of us - we felt like part of the family after 4 days being pampered by them, including a surprise candlelight private dinner on our deck one night, surrounding by lanterns they'd hung in the trees for light and to keep the baboons away. We will go back one day, and until then enjoy the memories."
