"Great welcome, great food, simple and quite delicious, great accommodation and beautiful park with many animals of many species; our guide was very clear in his explanations about the program, the location, the animals , their habits and uses. we felt quite safe all the time even with lions 2m away!!! The respect of nature and humanity is obvious when you stay at Londolozi and one feels very well there."

"Londolozi is the best lodge we have ever stayed at.The staff was highly professional and could not be kinder, the location is a dream, wildlife and beautiful lush green nature everywhere. The best breakfast, lunch and dinner you can imagine, and the setting just unbelievably beautiful. We are counting the days to go back with our adult sons for a special celebration in 2017!"

"My wife and I spent 4 nights at Londolozi as part of our honeymoon. Every aspect of Londolozi is incredible: the chalets are beautifully integrated into the landscape and have stunning views of the Sand River and the savannah, the food is exceptional, the attention to detail of the staff is amazing and the safari experience far exceeded our expectations. I have been on a number of safaris in the past and this is far and away the best safari experience I've had. There is a lot of wildlife and we saw the Big 5 within a day of arriving. The trackers and guides are incredibly well trained and because they are in constant contact with other groups, they are able to communicate about animal sightings in different areas of the park. A few highlights include: 1) Sundowners in the savannah 2) Dinner and campfire in the BOMA 3) Incredible staff. Will, Rob and the rest of the Varty Camp team are world class."

"We recently stayed at Varty Camp, Londolozi. After a whirlwind trip visiting family in South Africa, we enjoying a marvelous stay by ourselves. The service was superb with special thanks going to hosts Will & Reetal, guides Greg & Andrea and Margaret. As our first ever safari we never dreamed we'd see so much in the short time we had but we were blessed with so many excellent sightings including 4 leopards - so awesome!!"

- Rachel

"This was our second trip to Varty camp. The first trip 2 years ago was to be our once in a lifetime South Africa trip. It was so incredibly amazing that we had to come back to Londolozi. This time, we had 4 friends join us (they were amazed at the pictures and videos from our first trip so had to join us this time). The trip was even better than the first. We stayed for 5 nights this time which made a big difference as we felt more relaxed, knowing we were going to be on 10 game drives. The games drives were amazing and we saw not only the big 5 several times, but we were able to view wild dogs, which is rare. Not enough can be said for our ranger and tracker, Ntsako and Exon - they were fantastic. Our camp managers, Helen and Will took so good care of us that we can't thank them enough. The entire staff at Londolozi is so friendly and amazing at what they do. It's not just great service they provide - they make you feel like family and it is truly sad when you have to leave them. It is impossible to describe the emotion of this special place. All we can say is save your money and go - it will be the most amazing experience of your life and one you will never forget."

"It was our first time on safari and didn't know what to expect. Londolazi far exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked off the plane we were greeted by our ranger, Callum, who was an absolute sweetheart. He grabbed our bags and we loaded into the truck. Within in 2 minutes of the drive to camp we encountered giraffes and elephants. We arrived at camp and were greeted with cold hand towels and met the camp manager, Will. The entire staff was so personable. They really made our stay so special. Our room was very private and included our own plunge pool that faced the river. We often had elephants walking along the river. The food was excellent. And dinners were so nice in the candlelight. Since we were on our honeymoon they even arranged a private dinner on our deck one night. Very romantic! Best part of our stay were the game drives. Callum, our ranger, and Elmond, our tracker, were very knowledgeable about all the animals and they're habits. We saw the Big Five and tons more. They really made our experience an unforgettable one!"

"My husband and I had the privilege to spend 4 nights at the Varty Camp for our honeymoon. It was just amazing. 5 minutes after we arrived we had already spotted a herd of elephants, impalas and kudus, we hadn't even been on a drive yet. The room was perfect, the food was delicious (breakfast, tea, lunch, tea again, and dinner!), staff was ultra professional and friendly, and the drives were beyond fantastic. N'tsako and Fen our dedicated ranger and tracker were the best we could have hoped for. We saw more animals you can think of. Thank you guys!!! The tea stops in the middle of the reserve were also fab. A special dinner in the cellar with wine tasting was organised by the GM on our last night, again great. The other Londolozi camps looked beautiful as well, each with their own character. But loved Varty. I surely hope we can go back one day. We fell in love with the place."

"I had the privilege of staying at Varty Camp last week - a stay that I can only describe as a total elixir for the soul. My room was out of this world: grand, gracious and gorgeous. Every thought has gone into the detail. The food was sublime from homemade pasta and the freshest salads for lunch to the most incredible dinners in the candlelit boma: homemade soups; slow-cooked oxtail, crispy pork belly, pistachio icecream filled with white chocolate chips, all utterly delicious. I had a magnificent treat of a massage on the deck of my suite with a nyala bull who kept me company munching on shrubs around the deck throughout my massage! Fish eagles crying overhead just completed the perfection. Our guide was fantastic on our gamedrives and even though I have had the fortune of growing up and living in the bush, our guide blew me way with knowledge and information that I learnt for the first time on this trip. Our sighting of a new pride of male lions was also fabulous as the anticipation of the Lion Wars was on all of our minds, some new kids on the block are guaranteed to shake things up! I left with a soul restored for which I am eternally grateful to everyone that makes up the Londolozi family. Evermore thanks to everyone x"

"Visited this lodge in July my fourth visit to Londolozi and as always the staff were all very welcoming. The standard of the lodge is very high and the game drives with Tally and like lots of fun and they found cheetahs, leopard and baby hyenas ask for Tally she speaks leopard and finds them every drive. Special thanks to Will, Margaret and the inspirational Mo."

"South Africa is not to be missed if you want to experience a Safari (visiting animals in their home). The Varty Camp provides the very, very best service imaginable. I have a strict dietary regimen and not only did they take care of it, all staff members were aware of it an I was treated like a king. Safari wise, I think it is essential that one choose a private reserve - the distinction being that your driver can go off-roading and get up close and personal with the animals. The accommodations were wonderful, staff sensational, safari was priceless, food was excellent and it turned out to be our favorite spot and our favorite vacation. Enjoy!"
