A short 45-minute light aircraft flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport brings you to Sala's Camp; situated in the southern region of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve and close to the confluence of the Sand and Keekerok Rivers. Sala's Camp offers spectacular views of the Serengeti National Park and is one of the first camps to witness the legendary annual wildebeest migration, which generally occurs between the months of June and September.
Sala's Tented Camp offers a truly authentic safari experience and understated intimate luxury.
The seven Luxury Tents, including two spacious Honeymoon Tents and two Family Tents which accommodate a family of up to four, are elegant and comfortable. All rooms are raised off the ground and boast a canvas roof and walls, wooden floors and stackable glass doors. All rooms have either double or twin beds, en-suite bathrooms with bath, hot showers, and flushing toilets. Electricity is solar-powered and there is a standby generator for refrigeration and charging devices. Typically, after a day’s excursion, guests enjoy some relaxation in the hammocks or meeting for sundowners by the campfire before enjoying a home-cooked dinner, served under a canopy of stars.
Sala's Camp offers phenomenal game viewing all year round, however between December and March elephant sightings are exceptionally good. From June to September Sala is the starting point for the largest wildebeest migration. Sala Camp also has its own resident lion pride and offer fantastic cheetah sightings.
Activities offered at the camp include the annual Wildebeest Migration (seasonal), open vehicle game drives, nature walks, helicopter flights, hot-air ballooning, animal spoor tracking, birding, star-gazing, and various bush dining experiences.
There are activities on offer for children of all ages and babysitting is available. The camp is also suitable for guests with limited disabilities and special meals can be catered for by prior arrangement.
Champagne, luxury spirits, selected wines, tips, health insurance, balloon rides, in-room massage, personal effects, road transfers and the nightly park and conservation fees.
Children of all ages are welcome at the camp.
Children aged 0 - 2 years are considered an infant and stay free of charge.
The child rate is based on the following instances:
• Two children sharing a room (rate applies to each child)

The child sharing in an extra bed rate is based on the following instances:

Children aged 16 years and over are considered adults and will be charged at the applicable adult rate.
Extra beds are available on request. We recommend families book the family tents (Tent 2 and 3).

"First time and it was lovely The whole experience was great once I pinned down my booking as this time of year was very busy. The transport was great, the accommodations were a nice surprise and the people were friendly and helpful. I also thought that it was very reasonable. It couldn't have been a more perfect fit for my Safari wishes. Thank you."
"We found all aspects of communication to be very clear. Had a wonderful experience living in the bush camp, were very well looked after with excellent meals and all needs catered to. The experience was everything we had hoped for and more. Our guides/rangers were lovely people, very knowledgeable in spoor and animal and bird life in the area, and spared no effort in making our stay interesting and most enjoyable!"
