"From the moment we walked into the Lodge we were amazed. There is a stream that runs all the way behind the main building and the rooms. Where wildlife play. Beautiful property and employees. Just go"

"Fabulous lodge in Kruger Park, South Africa. Absolutely gorgeous surroundings and 5 star luxury. All personnel exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food was beyond our expectations. Game drives were so much fun with guide and tracker."

"We were totally amazed! First of all the treatment by staff, some of whom I have fond memories - the guide and tracker team of Omega and Quolani, Lutecia in administration, Million who escorted us from the main lodge at night, Levi and James who met our dining needs, Caroline and her partner who took care of our cabin. Everyone excelled with competence, thoughtfulness, pleasantness, and always revealed a gracious demeanor. The cabins are luxury size with combined living room and bedroom (King sized bed with netting turn-down treatment) with deck and plunge pool, huge bathroom area and huge double shower - all glassed in on the front facing the Sabie River. Just imagine viewing elephants or Nyala from your shower. In addition to two phenomenal three-hour drives per day complete with pauses for treats, the lodge is a vista point for elephants, Nyala, hippos, baboons, monkeys. On drives, you'll also see rhinos, impala, other antelope, giraffe, janet, civet, and birds etc. - some of which I've never heard or read about. The menu is varied, the food delicious, the dining fabulous, the BBQ evening delightful, even with entertainment. My husband wanted to stay six months - that's a first! It's the best - don't delay! It's a wonderful experience."

"My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at Tinga Lodge. The food was exceptional, the staff friendly and the game drives were 5-star. We loved our stay here. We received a beautiful room set-up for our anniversary too. I recommend this property to anyone looking for luxury in the heart of nature and wildlife."
- Kerry
"What a wonderful time we had at the Tinga Lodge. This was our first time in South Africa and as a result of our experience at Tinga Lodge we will be back! Staff were friendly and helpful. The safari staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They allowed plenty of time to take wonderful pictures. We saw elephants, moneys and giraffes from our balcony daily. We would definitely recommend Tinga Lodge to anyone wanting to enjoy the bush of South Africa."
- Anne
"Tinga Lodge made the experience memorable for my family with great food, accommodation and service. Our guide and tracker were friendly and knowledgeable and went out of there way to ensure my children had the trip of a lifetime. Hopefully we can get back there again some day."
- Andrew
"Outstanding structure in the middle of savannah on the river. Everything is top quality. Cabins, food, staff, Safari guides. Thanks to Jabu and Lukas for driving us in the park in search of the big five which we managed to see many times thanks to their patience and experience. We had a great great time and I was traveling with 3 kids aged 16, 11 and 9. The hotel offers an all inclusive service and I must say food and meals are even too often and too rich. Excellent lodge to recommend."

"We just returned from the most incredible time at Tinga Lodge (Lion Sands). The team were so welcoming, they felt like family after our 4 night stay. We were incredibly well looked after. All members of staff were friendly, fun, authentic and attentive without being overly so. They pre-empted our every need, even bringing our favourite wine out to us (unprompted) as we cooled off in the infinity pool, watching elephants, hippo and water buffalo stroll past. Magical. So firstly the animals - we were fortunate to see everything we had hoped to in 3 days: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino, hippo, giraffes, leopards, hyenas, monkeys. And plenty more! Our ranger and tracker were clearly so experienced - it's not as though the animals were just sitting there waiting to be found but they did find them! We were just lucky the animals were all there during our trip. We also managed to get very close to the animals - but it never felt invasive and was always respectful. The trackers and rangers clearly love what they do and care deeply for the nature surrounding them. Now for the perks - the treehouse is a must do if you can, listening to the animals at night and sleeping under the stars! In the early morning drives it was chilly before the sun had risen and we were given fleeces and hot water bottles which was a nice touch. There were some other lovely touches like flowers and towel animals on the beds, friendly messages from the housekeeping team and bush stories, one evening there was a group BBQ and one evening we were served dinner in our room on our deck. With the all inclusive package, champagne is included! And the spa treatments are fab, they will come to your room and give you a massage on your deck if you like. The lodge itself and the rooms are finished to the highest spec and we wanted for nothing. We often saw animals strolling past as we took a shower! Finally it's worth mentioning that the cars take up to six people - we were very lucky and shared with some lovely folks. We ended up on a couple of drives with just four of us and one with just us two, which was lovely. Due to the open vehicles and need to be still/quiet it wouldn't be suitable for children in my opinion. We feel a lot of love for the Tinga team and the wonderful nature that surrounds you!! Thank you so very much for making our honeymoon so memorable."

"The facilities are outstanding, the staff gracious, and the food great. Of course, the real focus is the Safari. Our Ranger and Tracker were superb and thanks to their diligence we saw all of the BIG 5. The individual cottages were sparkling clean, well appointed, and located fantastically on the river. Beds were very comfortable and linens very high quality. Cottages very large with nice place to relax and take in the picture window view. Saw Hippos, Elephants, Impala, etc. right out the front window. Can't imagine better Safari experience."
- Douglas
"Stayed for 3 nights with family and the lodge and rooms were a class apart. The staff is attentive to every small need and our ranger Jason was fantastic and had a brilliant time with him. We had lions eating a kill outside our room so when we were not on safari. We were still on safari in our rooms sitting on the deck and observing them. Do not think twice before booking this place."
