An unforgettable 6-night journey through two of Kenya’s most iconic conservancies — Lewa and Namunyak.
Your journey begins with your arrival at Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, where you’ll be warmly welcomed at Lewa House, a charming, family-owned lodge nestled on a picturesque hillside overlooking Mount Kenya. Settle into your comfortable double room and take in your new surroundings before heading out for a scenic sundowner in the bush — a perfect introduction to the beauty and tranquility of northern Kenya.
Spend the next two days immersing yourself in all that Lewa has to offer. Begin with thrilling day and night game drives across the diverse terrain, spotting rhinos, elephants, lions, and the endangered Grevy’s zebra. For a more intimate encounter with nature, join a guided walk through the conservancy, learning about the region’s flora, fauna, and conservation efforts. A visit to the Ngare Ndare Forest is a highlight — walk along the canopy bridge suspended in the treetops and enjoy a refreshing dip beneath cascading waterfalls. Throughout your stay, take part in conservancy-led activities and gain insights into Lewa’s groundbreaking conservation and community programs.
After breakfast, you’ll transfer to Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy, a remote and breathtakingly wild corner of northern Kenya. Your destination is Sarara Camp, a stunning eco-lodge tucked into the foothills of the Mathews Range. On arrival, settle into your double room and unwind as you soak in the sweeping views. Later, take a gentle guided walk through the surrounding landscape or relax at the infinity pool, which overlooks a popular wildlife waterhole.
The next two days are filled with unique and enriching experiences. One of the most moving visits is to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, where rescued orphaned elephants are cared for and prepared for release back into the wild — a testament to community-led conservation. Venture out on exhilarating game drives, both day and night, in search of leopard, elephant, kudu, and other species native to this remote ecosystem. For an added sense of adventure, explore the bush on horseback or head out on guided walks led by Samburu warriors, who share their intimate knowledge of the land and its wildlife.
Enjoy a relaxed final morning at Sarara with breakfast overlooking the mountains, reflecting on your unforgettable journey through Kenya’s untamed north. After checkout, you’ll be transferred back to Nairobi or your onward destination, taking with you vivid memories of wild landscapes, iconic wildlife, and the warmth of Kenya’s conservancies.
