Thanks for a neat camp site, except some bbq areas are broken so we couldn't cook anything.

We enjoyed. Everything was fine. It is recommended for every one: couple, single, families.

Desre Barata

It was very good, need good restaurants, and lights by the camp side, its too dark, overall its was good.

Helma van Rooyen

Abraham johannes Nagel

Great accommodation.......A wonderful experience.

Bill Harling

A lovely stay with amazing client service. We logged a call regarding the aircon which was faulty, and within a hour the technician had accessed the problem and replaced the aircon! Thank you!

Antoinette Myburgh

Tents and ablutions very neat and clean.

Stephen Venter

We brought you rain. Loved the accommodation. The natural friendliness and smiles from the Shangaan people was a highlight

Skukuza Restcamp has become my favourite, and the Cattle Baron restaurant was amazing. The camp is beautifully clean, the bungalows comfortable and spotless. The only downer to the stay was the ranger/driver on the nightdrive. He really seemed unknowledgable and drove so fast we all had to scream repeatedly for him to stop once something of interest was spotted.

Leon Jacobs

No ants, yippy.....

hennie steyn

Excellent value for money!!

Andries Van Zyl

This camp has it all, easy access to all main routes and also the roads that have the majority of life happening on them. We ended up back here after staying nights at Berg en Dal, Pretorious and Lower Sabie finding it the most central rest camp for the Southern Kruger area. Also by far the best restaurant and WiFi connection.

Belinda Roach

Hi, This was my second stay in Skukuza Camp and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

sylvie kessler

It was perfect for the cost of the trip.

Marcos Fidelis

Very good restaurant near the river, the better of the three rest camp we stay.

The best rest camp in Kruger....the restaurant food was excellent and the rooms were immaculate. Although short-lived this was the best place to stay at. I will most definitely recommend it to friends and family

petunia Mabuse

Big house with lots of space foe a Group of friends. Good beds and friendly house keeper. Hope to stay there again.

Majlen Sjoholm

Accommodation good. Restaurant excellent.

Enjoy it thanks, clean room, friendly staff members, only a joy to visit the Kruger

Gert Barnard

Thank you for a fantastic experience! We had a great experience and are defenately coming back.

Enjoyed our one night stay

Julie Braby

Our room was facing the river, it was big, clean and very nice! The restaurant was great! We didn't want to leave.

Roberta DAngelo

We were impressed with the professional attitude shown by all staff. Thanks for a great stay. Accommodation was clean and well maintained. We saw all the big 5 in one day, even a Leopard.

Georg Ritschl

Everything went well and quick. It was clean, the restaurants have a nice view where you can see elephants and buffaloes drinking and eating at the riverside. The services are good. The supermarket has just enough. The prices are reasonable or even cheap to European standards. The weaker points maybe be the swimming pool and the internet connection in the restaurant (dropping all the time). In the restaurant we had to wait about 90 minutes for our food because the electricity went off.

I had a very fantastic stay at your place and thank you for everything.

Bungalows were too small for 3 people, but clean and neat and comfortable. Food at Cattle Baron excellent, shop great, grounds need attention, no grass to be seen for kids to play on, swimming pool good.

Aileen Muilwijk

The Camp Skukuza was really lovely. The grounds were very neat and the shop was well stocked with everything you could need. Our little rondavel was clean and had everything we needed. The air conditioner was old but worked really well. The only issue was there was a very strong smell of diesel in our room.

Kristyl Best

It's really great and good value for money.

We stayed one night and were pleasantly surprised at the size of the camp and everything was well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It rates as one of my best holiday experience. Value for money. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the accommodation. An all round magnificent experience!

Very good.

Michael Sampson

Great First Trip to Skukuza. Accommodation was simple but scrupulously clean & everything we needed was provided. The staff were friendly & helpful - great value for Money. I would definitely visit again. Plenty of Game sightings including the big 5 in one day - not often that happens!

Graham Purkis

The booking procedure was excellent. Could not have done it better myself. In just two days everything was booked and organized.

Cindy Mc Carthy

Good to see the park again! The restaurant is really good with good food! Its a pity about the service from the staff at the restaurant, this needs to be addressed, however overall loved the stay at the camp.

Ian Mclauchlan

We had a fantastic stay. Accommodation was very comfortable and there was not complaints.

Carey Kennard

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. As expected, December in the Kruger is bound to be hot, but what wasn't expected was the temps soaring to 45C! Luckily our unit was equipped with air con . An absolutely must-have in December ! Wildlife around Skukuza is never an issue and it didn't take us long to tick off the big 5. We were fortunate enough returning to camp one afternoon to run into a pack of about 15 wild dogs on the Phabeni road. Awesome experience as they were running on the tar road for about 1 km in front of the vehiclesDefinitely enjoyed the stay and had some golf at the Skukuza Golf Club as well

Deon Loock

Very nice.

Cornus Du plooy

We have stayed here before in the Chalets, this time in a caravan. Park well laid out, Great restaurant and shop. Clean ablutions, well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. Would suggest it to anyone.

Nic Grobbelaar

We had a river view unit, and we loved every minute staying at Skukuza.

Everything was great: the camp, the tent and the staff in different places like the restaurants, reception, Wcs. Thanks! I will come back!

Sandy Brennon

We enjoyed ourselves.

justice mabasa

Accommodation clean and comfortable. Staff extremely friendly and helpful

Fay Renney

Entry at Phalaborwa gate very efficient. Check in at Skukuza fast and efficient. Accommodation in safari tent as expected basic but clean.

We really enjoyed our stay at Skukuza Restcamp. The service was great with very friendly staff that even personally came to say hi at the end of our stay. Food was also very good and the rooms and other accommodation very tidy. This blended perfectly together with the amazing scenery of the park so definitely worth it to stay overnight!

Mattijs Dhoedt

Ontvangs was by hek en kamp uitstekend, effektief en vriendelik. die kampplek was skoon asook ablusie geriewe. wildtuin droog maar wonderlik.

Nicole Doyer

Kruger Accommodation is the best.

Our 4 nights at Skukuza were terrific. The room was very clean and comfortable. The surrounds were well maintained and attractive. The shop was well stocked with basic essentials plus a few extras. The restaurant was excellent.

Peter Massey

Nice bungalow - pleasant staff - nice restaurant. Will certainly stay there again

Parsons Keith

Tent was better than we thought. Beds were comfortable and we slept good.

Susanne Ott

Excellent campsites and ablution facilities. Busy campsite, so suggest early check in to get best possible sites.

Pat Redman

Campo molto grande , forse un po' troppo.. .. Purtroppo , dzl tramonto, manca visibilità nei viali.

Emilia Ferri

Great cottages with superb river view and remarkably quiet considering that we were staying in a small town!

Ian Proudfoot

Awesome time, was very busy but were still able to do our thing and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Other campers were also friendly. Night drive not to bad. Didn't see to much but I know that can happen.

The service was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay.

Moses Mametja

Great place to stay - good facilities, and excellent access to Big 5 game!

Stephen Patmore

Marieke van der Merwe

So happy with the friendly and helpful service in getting accommodation sorted for KNP over September holidays. Have already made my next booking request. Highly recommended service.

was baie lekker dankie. die badkamers vir die mans was net bietjie min met die rugby seuns wat saam getoer het maar verder was dit heerlik , dankie .

sanet engelbrecht

This is our 7 time at Skukuza. The nicest big camp. Great Cattle Barron Steak restaurant. Ideal for game viewing.

This was the biggest camp we stayed at. Each one is special in its own way. I am looking forward to my return visit.

Marilyn Nel

We had a super experience with the Bushbabies having a serious argument in the tree outside our unit. We had never seen a bushbaby so close.

sandra pollastrini

Bush walk was nice. Didn't see many animals but the outing was enjoyable. Our stay in the bungalow was neat and comfortable. Definite revisit in the future!

Jaco van der Westhuizen

Skukuza is my favourite - never any complaints, only compliments.

Leigh Robertson

Accommodation was excellent, would have loved to have another night here.

Jennifer Steiner

We enjoyed our stay in the Kruger Park. Thank you for looking after our animals. Sylvia.

Absolutely wonderful! From reception, garage, shops, restaurants, hospitality, bungalow attendance (cleaning). Nothing to point a finger towards. Made me feel like a queen! Thank you so much.

Very good accommodation, very friendly and helpful staff, worth every penny.

Always a pleasure staying there. The scenery is fantastic, it's clean, quite and just amazing. Luxurious.

Enjoyed most of my stay at Skukuza. Unfortunately, the arrival day rained most of the day and we arrived a bit early and there wasn't much to do while we waited till the 2 pm checking time for the bungalows. After we got accommodated, things got much better and we enjoyed a lot the sunset safari and the rest of our stay in the camp area. The Park is amazing and, not guaranteeing that we'll see all of the area's wildlife, there are always pleasant surprises in the Park area.

Marcos Almeida

Very satisfactory. The rondavels were clean and neat and very well stocked for self catering.

Jan Boshoff

I probably stayed in the same hut 30 years ago and nothing has changed. Reception staff were great.

Giulio Magni

We entered at Malelane gate, camping at Skukuza site, Every one was very helpful and the service was very good. Ablutions at Skukuza was very neat and clean, it was a pleasure camping there, I experience that Lower Sabie's toilets for day visitors was not always up to standard, Pretoriuskop very neat and clean and the new Restaurants and take a way's are a plus for the Park. Next time I will go for longer than 16 days it was worth it. Thanks to all the staff "SKUKUZA YOU ROCK"

Annetjie Stoltz

World class. Can't wait to get back.

tim denny

In comparison with our visit appr. 3 year's ago I must say there was a vast improvement. Everything in the rondavel that we needed was there - staff friendly. The previous visit was not up to expectation. This time far better. Thanks.

Pieter Fourie

Interesting Camp with all facilities available, neat rooms and good service.

maria busink

Baie dankie!

We had a wonderful time, great bungalow, great game sightings. Everything was wonderful.

Belinda Sellers

Very good.

Pieter grobler

what an awesome experience. We camped at Skukuza and didn't have a moment where it wasn't fun. The bathrooms was always clean the camping areas was also kept clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will recommend a stay there anytime.

The camp was very impressive, clean etc. Pitty that we stay only for 1 night at Skukuza.

Jacobus AH Van der Berg

Here everything was perfect.

Gareth Morgan

Made mistake with our booking, but staff handled the situation very quick and profesional gave us another Bungalow. Shower in Bungalow did'nt work (no water pressure) Problem was sorted out by Maintenance. Very Friendly and professional staff.

Skukuza was even better this year with the inclusion of the new restaurant, the food and views were amazing. Our accommodation was clean, a good size, and great value. We love Skukuza and can't wait to come back.

jane elton

Very nice and clean. We love the camp and the neatness of everything.

Fantastic viewing of the big five.

Gerard Gotschi

Renate Ferreira

Although the safari tent which we stayed in was clean and in good condition , and also well maintained , I prefer the smaller camps like Krokodilbrug and Letaba.

Kobus van Eeden

Our stay at the different camps was absolutely fantastic. Each camp has its own unique charm and we enjoyed every moment of it. We relaxed; it was quite, clean, green and just overall “lekker”. I will definitely stay at each of the camps again and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

chiriac alexandre

2 bungalows next to each other in a secluded cul-de-sac ideal for us and our British visitors.

Rynette v d Westhuizen

Clean and neat, could do with a revamp. Enjoyed a lovely dinner with great service at Cattle Baron.

Diana Robertson

The restaurant was perfect end the room and the shop good

Lekker sentraal en kon ons twee aande kamp. Die kampe is goed uitgemerk en die amblisie blokke skoon. Die restourant het die heerlikste steak!

George Tait

The park and the camps I visited and stayed at are absolutely awesome. I throughly enjoyed every minute of my stay.

Chounett Pitt

Having not stayed in the Kruger Park for many years, we were delighted with everything! We took overseas guests with us as part of their first trip to Africa and they were equally impressed with the facilities. We were fully self catering and found the equipment in the guest cottages more than adequate, although we were pleased to have brought our own sharp knives and oven gloves. We will definitely visit again and will recommend it to our friends and family. All in all a very satisfactory experience!

carol bruyns

We had a marvelous stay, the environment was relaxing with a touch of outdoor environment, and the quietness, staff was very welcomingThank you so much

Dineo Themba

Diane Robertson

Excellent, we stayed at Skukuza and were able to do whole area south. Lots of animals seen.

Wium van der Post

Had 2 bedroom unit, lots of space, clean and more than adequate. Great Restaurant, Cattle Baron. Food was good, beer n wine great, sitting on the deck watching birds and animals, wonderful experience. Happy and friendly staff. Real value for money

Good Morning We had such a wonderful time our over seas visitors thought it was amazing. We went on a night drive and saw a leopard which we all wanted to see so we got to see all the big 5. The camp was well kept and clean. We will definitely visit again it was such a great experience . Kind regards

My time in the Kruger was one of the most relaxing of my life and I thoroughly enjoyed it. While Skukuza rest game was a little bit crowded the facilities were excellent.

Sebastian Lewis

We had a really good time in the park. The accommodation was very basic but adequate and clean. More space in the kitchen area would be great.

Samantha Hogan-Seccombe

As always everything was in order and excellent service. See forward to the next trip.

Jan Barrett

Excellent value for the money. Facilities were clean, comfortable and secure. Bathrooms and other facilities for camping and tents were far nicer than any national park in the US.

- Great Value; - Amazing view of Sabie River; - Comfortable and well equipped bungalows;

We had a wonderful time in a very comfortable camp.

David Thickpenny

Calm, clean and well organized. Nothing is missing for a good week-end!

Antonio L Marques

Elzbieta Wieczorkiewicz

The kitchen outside is not so nice . But we enjoyed ourselfs .

Mirna Brummer

We had to wait till after 14h00, to get booked in and receive keys. The weather was hot, and waiting was unpleasant. Staff tried their best. Good facilities to eat and buy supplies. Cottage was very spacious, and aircon "a must" in february. On the whole we had a pleasant stay.

Heiko Bron

Jolanda Ferriera

hi thank you so much for the help it was very good experience i have received a very good customer service. The lady called me and return the extra amount charged on my booking by mistake. keep it up.thank you kiran pidugu

kiran pidugu

Very nice experience with regards to the Camping sights and the facilities.

Juanita Dreyer

We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at Skukuza. We have visited Krugar on previous visits to SA but have always stayed outside the park, we will certainly be booking to stay inside park on future visits and probably at a different rest camp to see another part. Highly recommended way to visit Krugar.

George Barton

This camp was lovely. Over all, I do feel that for South Africans we do not get value for money as you could stay in a fancy hotel in Cape Town for the price of a chalet. Can't special rates be given to locals?

Jeanette van Rooyen

Skukuza was as good as ever, with staff friendly and helpful as always. Possibly noted that it's starting to get more and more expensive sadly.

We had a fabulous experience in the Kruger Park. The camp was really clean and service excellent. The people were so friendly and helpfull. Will definitly return! Thank you very much!!

Lene Joubert

Well managed

Darryl Joubert

The river view is hypnotic, loved each second I breathed humid air.

Skukuza is my favourite camp, it offers everything. We had dinner out and it was awesome.

The stay was excellent, people friendly, will definitely visit/stay at Skukuza again - in future a Wimpy / any other restaurant will be recommended - current is too expensive. Further excellent service.

Magda Fourie

It was a lovely holiday, all that I suggest is that the ablution block needs a upgrade please and one more swimming pool will also help, but without a doubt I will go again!

isabel du splessis

The accommodation is very good and the support and treatment was outstanding. Thank you.

It is always nice to camp and I will be back in 2015 The only problem is the speeding of certain people that do not have the respect for animals or the next person on the roads, but apart from that I enjoy KNP more every time Thanks

Gerhard Boshoff

Need bigger swimming pools to many people in the pool and its too small.

Shaun Schlebusch

Very enjoyable and a pleasure to be there. Such friendly staff and super service. We will be back for sure

Camp was a bit big and impersonal compared to others we stayed at. Wildlife around was superb though. Cattle Baron restaurant was good.

David Wise

Our stay in the Kruger Park was generally pleasant. Congratulations on outsourcing the restaurants. This is a massive improvement and at least now visitors get good food and value for money. The service was good at the restaurants we used except at Satara Mugg and Bean where the service was exceptionally slow. Food was excellent though. I think a lot can be done regarding the bathroom facilities. They are old and outdated and an upgrade is long overdue. Cleanliness of some bathrooms is also a huge problem. One does not feel comfortable using them at all. Another sad situation is the number of small animals killed on the roads by reckless drivers. We encountered numerous tortoises and chameleons and even a baby rooibok that have been run over. Over the same period last year we only encountered one dead chameleon.

Martie Rademeyer

Found everything to our satisfaction.

Crocodile Bridge now has microwave ovens which Skukuza does not have! The bungalow we stayed in needs paintwork on the verandah and the baboon-proof "grid" on the fridge is shockingly made and looks very ugly, Otherwise all good,

hilary gericke

The stay at Skukuza was great!

Rozanne Visagie

Eerste keer in hierdie kamp gekamp. Baie dankie - het dit baie geniet

Ruline Erasmus

It was my first time at Skukuza and the place is busy and its like another town in the park. We had an exciting evening there. It was raining so there not much one could do.

Basic accommodation - overpriced /although the private veranda was nice and the fact that utensils were available, was a surplus.

Myriam Tuytschaever

The stay was good along with the services.

We have been travelling to the Kruger for years and this is the first time that I am able to really compliment the staff at Numbi Gate and at the shops in Skukuza and Lower Sabie - they were all friendly, helpful and efficient. Well done guys

Kirstie Bowers

Units well kept

khathutshelo lucas netshiluvhi

Very Pleasant

Theresa Durand

Enjoyed it, but just didnt like the american restaurant as its South Africa dont need a M&B and bistro in the park

Mathys van staden

Loved our stay. However, on our arrival we did get a nasty surprise by having to pay an extra payment of +- R1700.00. I think it was called Park fees. I just feel that if you pay so much already, why this nasty surprise when you get there.

Andre Le Roux

Rondavels are great. The feeling of the camp is great but for the price, the kitchen should be stocked with stove and microwave.

Michael Sims

Comfortable stay.Public Restrooms at the main entrance and near the shop needs attention. There was a resident huge rat in our Rondawel roof..Unit 8.

De La Port Yvette

The camp was quiet and relaxing. The room was average compared to the Letaba room that cost less than this room. The curtains can do with a upgrade, it would lift the whole room. Other than that it was very enjoyable.

Wonderful friendly staff. Accomodation fabulous. Park very clean. Loved every minute. Thank you to everyone working there

Erika Langen

Very friendly staff.... camp site bit unorganized and power points for stands are far, but overall a nice stay.

Reino Groenewald

Heard this was a "busy camp" so was a little concerned. Not to worry, it was great! Loved the accommodations and the facilities. Very pleasant place to be. Especially attentive staff in the restaurant.

Me and my guests had a wonderful time, the staff was very friendly, helpful and preventing. The Chalets in excellent conditions and even the game in the camp was sportful! The best rates from us!

Sven Kruger

Myself and the 3 visitors with me found the accommodations to be most satisfactory at both camps. The staff at all the different venues we were at were knowledgeable and very hospitable. We would all highly recommend a visit to the Kruger to all our friends.Thank you for a wonderful experience in the Kruger Park.Joan Spice

Just Perfect

Very pleasant experience, nothing can compare to nature. It os getting a bot extensive, but will def go again

Clarence Axer

Missing certain utensils but otherwise good.

Gary Warne

Bianka Rust

Good place

Cannot wait to come back!

Petra Mitchell

The atmosphere in the camp was good, the location at the river was nice, the accomodation was nice and quiet in spite of earlier comments.

Ron Bromlewe

The total experience was awesome. Thank you

George Kersop

Bungalow as okay. Gardens neat. Camp too busy.

Alida Mendes

Love the new idea of Cattle Baron!

Gavin Bailey

We had as unforgetable experience in Kruger Park. Wonderful place.

maria hidalgoDALGO

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Skukzuza Restcamp where we were greeted with warmth and courtesy. The Morning Drive was a big highlight of our stay in South Africa and good value for money.

Barbara Balfe

This is a really nice camp. I would definitely stay here again. They had a make shift restaurant which was okay while they rehab. Very good value.

JAN and Jerry

Bungalow comfortable and clean. Temporary restaurant, whilst building in progress, not great. Swimming pool surrounds should be improved. Shop facility very good. Park excellent and roads well maintained

John Wray

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip and found both bungalows and camps clean, well maintained and all staff exceptionally friendly and helpful - well worth the money!

Patricia Aughey

Very good. Quiet and clean. Great shop. Nice rest camp. Saw lots of Lions on Self Drive. Wonderful.

Fantastic weather and good views.

We enjoyed the weekend in Skukuza. The bungalows were spotless. So was the linen and crockery!! Our fridge was not working though. The food at the "outdoors" restaurant (PLAASKOMBUIS or what was it called?) was absolutely divine! Even though is was a temporary restaurant outside the shop.

Sandra Snyman

we had a wonderful stay at Skukuza. the bungalow was clean and well is a difficult time at Skukluza with all the building but as regular visitors it is great that there is ongoing maintenance. please keep up the good work as it is a treasure to have as a countrythank you

Kate Groch

We were so pleasantly surprised.. had chalet No 86 right at the end of the boardwalk, and overlooking the river. So restful and beautiful. Did not want to leave.

House was very well equipped. The service in the restaurant was poor and sometimes even rude and impolite. Excellent view from out the house!

We only stayed at Skukuza for one night which was a pity because we had an excellent view of the river from our house. When we arrived there was a herd of elephants waiting for us across the river!

We had a fantastic time. The staff were excellent and especially the Rangers taking us out on trips.

Loraine Williams

Stayed in one of the luxury bungalows with a river view. So amazing!

Noeline Bonner

Hi, We had a awesome time in the park. Skukuza was just right.Had a really good camping spot. Lots of traffic around to Lower Sabie. But really had a fab time. Thanks, Dieter and Family.

The Stay was very nice.

Ben Van Wyk

I stay at Skukuza camp 2 or 3 times a year on my way back to the UK from Mozambique. The Kruger park and the overnight stay are always a great beak and relaxing quality experience. Will be staying again later this year.

Steve Thomas

We are addicted to this annual trip, it never fails to be the highlight of the year! this year we saw leopards mate, unbelievable! It's like a national geographic episode every day. Booking for next year now!

jane elton

We enjoyed every minute, the bungalow was kept very clean and neat and the beds were very comfortable. Thanx

leon mare

Very clean.

One thing that stood out was the friendly and always helpful staff.

Wimpie Malan

Good experience.

Christea de Bruin De Bruin

What a pleasant surprise! We were hesitant about staying at this large restcamp, but we reserved a riverside semi-luxury bungalow and it was fantastic. Really great job with updating and beautiful secluded location. We will recommend this camp, especially the riverside bungalows, to others.

Linda Jones

As usual a great experience, does not matter how many times you visit Kruger and its facilities. Always an amazing time.

Fine trip. we enjoyed the stay.

Ken Mohan

The bungalow was beautiful, clean and private. We enjoyed our stay thank you.

Lynn Gouws

As a group of 9 this house was perfect, would recommend it with it's beautiful view anyway. We did feel that the house didn't look quite as clean and well kept as the lodges used to be. But the view onto the river made it worth it.

Romy Malin

The staff as always were friendly and accommodating, the ablutions were clean but are in need of general maintenance. Excellent bird and animal sightings - cant wait to go back.

Very nice vacation. Staff at Skukuza reception not that friendly though... But very nice vacation.

Werner Janse van Rensburg

I haven't been in the kruger since 1994 and we saw the big 5 in one day. It was good welcome.we look for cheetahs and wild dogs but we have not seen them.we are still blessed for the luck we have received.

Philippe RENAUD

I took my 2 grand children 2 Skukuza camp site and had a wonderfull week in the park. Love to do it more

Carol Humphries

We had a great time, everything was well organised.

Did enjoy my stay at Skukuza Restcamp and the exciting moment was the game drive when we saw the Lions, I will definitely go to Kruger Park again.

Alinah Mekgoe

Not bad. It is stupid to have a fridge outside. Maybe they should enclose the stoep.

Daniel Rayners

The bungalow was comfortable. We moved the beds around to make it more convenient. We were glad to have heat. Plenty of blankets, and the screened veranda was nice- we actually DID sit out there for a bit- with blankets. For such a big rest camp, i was surprised the store closed so early. We did dine at one of the restaurants, the food was well prepared and reasonably priced. It was a great experience to try local fare. We had difficulty reaching Skukuza by phone to verify the start of our sunset game drive and by the time we arrived, it was leaving in 2 minutes. We made it just in time. Blankets for the sunset game drive would have been good- it was VERY cold. It was difficult navigating through the rest camp with the map given. Would have liked to have spent more time exploring at the camp and all that was offered, but couldn't wait to get out and look for animals. Cape Buffalo was the only one of the Big 5 that we missed- we had some great sightings! We had stayed the night before in Satara- comparatively, Skukuza Rest Camp is much bigger and unless you'll be there for a few days, any of the smaller camps would probably be better. It seems Skukuza would be great for a few days or a week- with all it has to offer. With just one day there, it was not enough time to make use of all the amenities.

Corinne Rebecca

Good position in the middle of the park.

Gian Mario Bissacco

Lynette Grobler

Bathroom was in very good condition. Camp sites are bit difficult to spot - not marked out properly

Mariken Jordaan

Will keep going back no matter what.

We was very impressed with the rest camp , everything was clean and neat.We look forward to spending another holiday at Skukuza rest Camp again

We will be back soon !

We will be back !

Good stay.

Was good and bathrooms were clean! Thank you!

Peet Els

I would come again

Enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly and helpful which is quite unusual for a large organisation.

Willem Scheepers

Hi first I want to thank you all for your hospitality during our stay at Skukuza. It was really an fantastic couple of days and I also want to mention that we also saw the big five between Skukuza, Pretoriuskop and Berg en Dal. The weather was fantastic during the days and evenings where we also have a nice of couple of braai's in the evenings. You definitely can look forward to seeing us in the future for a stay at Kruger National Park. All the best. Mr. Cooney.

Jonathan Cooney

Fantastic, saw wild dogs, 4 Cheetahs and a Black Rhino. Food at Afsaal good and well prized.

we stayed at Skukuza in the Safari tents. the only complaint that we have is noisy staff at night time!!!!

amanda botha

Bungalow was average

T. Visser

The microwave oven was in a bad condition. The rest was good

T. Visser

Enjoyed our three night stay, accommodation was comfortable.

Karin Marx

Like always its was worth while the visit. Always enoy Kruger and all it brings. Thank You

Russell Viljoen

Restuarant over priced for us locals.

Joe Barclay

Bungalow staff sloppy and indifferent. No I did nod not enjoy the camp, To big, too impersonal

Bungalow staff sloppy and indifferent. No I did nod not enjoy the camp, To big, too impersonal

Another exceptional camp, there are so many animals in the area, you cannot drive 10 minutes without seeing something.

Peter Lefever

We so enjoyed our stay in your lovely rondavel. Would like to suggest a latch with a padlock be fitted to the fridge doors to stop the monkeys from stealing the food....This would solve the problem. Would also like to suggest an outside light by the steps where the car was parked as it is quite dangerous getting to your car at 4.45am when going on a morning drive. Thank you.

Desiree du Plessis

my husband and I rented a camper and booked at 3 different camps for 4 nights. The camp-sites were lovely and the ablutions very clean. We had a fantastic time and plan to do it again next year!

Jolanda Ferriera

Shops are to expensive, looks like you are catering for the overseas people. There should be prices for local or international.

Audrey Vermeulen

TV in restaurant at Skukuza was not working, could not watch the rugby.

Peter Baker

I regularly travel back from Mozambique and always take a couple of days in the Kruger. I am never disapointed in the park or accommodation and feel its incredible value for money.

Steve Thomas

Awesome - first time to stay over in Kruger.

Ansie Prinsloo

Skukuza is a busy camp but the 6 sleeper units are great and the facilities are the best of the park.

Mohit Jain

Even though we found the staff at Skukuza reception on our arrival to be unfriendly and not too helpful, we enjoyed our camping trip. The camp is neat and clean and the ablution facilities a pleasure to visit. A very special thank you to Carien du Plessis that made our booking. She is a star and made booking via a breeze. She is helpful and responds to emails/queries in a professional friendly manner.

Nadine Kriel

Over all good. Saw lots of game

Hamid Rehnema

We had a wonderful, mosquito free stay in Kruger. Although we missed the Leopard we DID see a Leopard Tortoise so we did see our own personal big 5.

Jan Kelley

The facility in Skukuza needs upgrading as fixtures and utensils are old.

Piet Steenkamp

Chalet comfortable but very run-down needs an upgrade, many utensils missing and fridge did not work.

Robert Andrew

Rooms were clean, but no full facilities in kitchenette. Had to walk to find kitchen facilities to wash up.

Pat Rutherfoord

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Skukuza, there was more to offer in terms of accommodation and facilities. We would definitely return.

Janine John

I had a good trip and stayed at the various Camping Sites. The roads both Tar and Dirt are in very poor condition from all my previous vists as thus able to make this comment, if in normal cars be aware of this especially on the Dirt Roads, I eventually stayed off them and missed a lt of viewing. The camps are getting run down, but the people are good and very helpful. I was disappointed that the camp Sites are not controlled and others take up more space that they are allocated or just used up two Sites and people were forced to miss out, others were obviously taking up two Power Points for Electricity and I had to miss out depite alsing them to unplug one Lead, rude and uncaring but them Kruger should police this aspect. There is a lot of noice in the Camps despite being asked to tone it down, Radios - Generator and boozing into the nights. Another Camping Only site had a couple with visitors and the loud attitude was not appreciated, we are there to the wild life and experice the wild night life, not some afrikaans couple shouting screaming their heads off and not caring when several others asked them quiet down.Over all a good trip despite the poor road attitude in blocking bother sides of the road when they see something of interest and others either cannot get a look in or pass them, another real difficulty.wsould I go again YES YES YES, but be aware and make some plans.

Enjoyed our stay. Thanks, will re-visit in future.

Wonderful clean and well equipped bungalows. Had a wonderful stay.

Very nice well equipped and comfortable.

Andrea Jackson

We love KNP. Staff great. Good value for money. But, why 3 bedroom bungalows without cooking or cleaning facility. You have the plumbing there already. just add basin to wash dishes. And why only 3 people? How many families have only one child. Truly weird planning must have gone into this. On a different note - how can you allow Famous Brands to open Mugg & Beans in Parks if they do not have a proper recycling policy across their chain of different outlets nationally?

Very good , impresive

Arunas Kisielius

We travel to the Kruger at least once a year. This year the deterioration in the accommodation was noticeable. Curtain with broken hooks and hanging skew, toaster not working, mirror on the the inside cupboard door hanging by only one screw, mosquito screens falling off. Last year we even found rotten food inside the microwave. These poor maintenance issues cause a very poor impression, for the price charged. The facilities at rest spots between camps were very good. Roads were good. Wildlife viewing was fantastic!

Average lodge. The bungalows looks old and specially the windows. No Micro wave in the kitchen and not a lot of equipment in order to cook. (Pan, Etc.....) Other wise, people are very nice and efficient.

philippe lecomte

Great stay, no fridge in the chalet is a bit difficult to manage otherwise, great stay.

very good experience.

We had a most enjoyable and pleasant stay and will be back.

Johann Hanekom

Enjoyable. Swimming Pool very dirty, in fact the whole swimming pool area is in a bad state. Fences, seating etc. Accommodation perfect. Bathrooms and kitchen area clean. Pleasure to use.

Tina Olivier

Good morning,Thank you very much for an amazing experience, next time we would love to sleepover in one of your chalets. Our best experience was breakfast in the Olifants camp, and then our night drives made it possible for us to see the big 5 in one day.The strict rules and regulations helps a lot to keep the national park clean and as South Africans we are proud to show the world the

William Michael Bartman

The park the people and the roads are Brilliant!!!!!The overnight stay at SKUKUZA REST CAMP not so much. You get a fridge to use but cant really use it because there are no locks on it so monkeys come and steal all your food. You only have a option for single beds.Unit are clean but starting to get old now mosquito netting on windows are broken. We stayed just outside the park the second night in really lovely accommodation 4 star and it cost less then what it did in the park.

Christian Mody

Everything in and around the bungalow was very tidy. Could not experience the train restaurant though, because of renovations.

Jurgens Haywood

Skukuza was our best stay for the week. We were treated ver nice at reception the staff are very friendly and helpfull

Pamela Fortune

The location was perfect with great views and very good access to the main areas of the park.Accommodation was simple and ideal for an evening BBQ. The monkeys were a minor problem with regular fridge raids and this needs a better solution than having to turn the fridge round each morning and night when you are not there. This was a very minor issue in the grand scheme of a wonderful location providing a fabulous holiday.

Amazing guest cottage. Would love to have stayed longer than one night. Carriage restaurant food fine but service very slow. Didn't book but they told us they could fit us in in 10 minutes-we had to wait an hour.

Martyn Wharrie

Lovely camp, Train restaurant has excellent food.Would love to see the rondaval upgraded with the bars over the cupboards, fridges and the nice braai area as in Lower Sabie.

Kirsty Botha

Really enjoyable - Will be back soon !

David McIntosh

We have been to the Krugerpark twice before, the last time during 2005 but this time around we battled for 4 years to get accommodation during Easter Weekend! You can therefore imagine our anticipation to visit again, but our excitement(which had built up over the last 4 years)was to no avail because first of all our greeting at Skukuza was a stern and abrupt "you can only book in at 2" - no "hello, welcome" or anything to that effect. The upkeep of the chalets seems to be a problem as our chalet's shower was blocked, the braai outside was falling over (only kept upright by a bunch of stones stacked at the foot of the pole)and we couldn't make tea or coffe as the kettle tripped the entire chalet's electricity once it was switched on. The night drive left us just as dissapointed as the guide only stopped and gave a little information when one of the tourist's saw an animal. There was no interesting information on anything other than the animal/s the tourists spotted - nothing on the stars or anything else (which was a highlight during our previous night drives). It was also somewhat scary that there was not another guide with a weapon in case something should happen. All this is nothing compared to the complete exploitation of SA citizens. Having paid an arm and a leg for accommodation which was not up to standard, one is also charged a "conservation fee" of R125 at each and every camp and to top it off one has to pay R16,50 for a 500ml colddrink! Bearing in mind what one's petrol costs just to get to the Park, this is totally absurd! Maybe the overseas tourists can afford this, but SA citizens simply cannot and because of this exploitation, I fear the Park will soon be lost to it's heirs (us, the SA citizens). We certainly won't be able to afford another visit.

Always great to go to Kruger!

It would be great to have a kettle in the kitchens as it is a mission to have to go to the communal kitchens for hot water. They should also provide another plug/double adapter in the rooms, as you cannot have an appliance in if you want the aircon to work.

Jade Jordaan

Exceptional, thank you so much we had a good time.

Bianka Rust

As always, a lovely place to stay. Chalet very comfortable and clean.

Francie Wolmarans

The Kruger is always a winner - no matter which camp!

Mariette van Jaarsveld

Nomvula Thabethe

Excellent accommodation. Shame some closed but did see big 5

It was a very nice place to see animals, specially the big five. We saw all of them... In one sunset game drive we saw two leopards and in the next morning we saw a big lion family! I only have one complaint: when we arrived on the rest camp there was no light and we almost couldn't do the sunset game drive because we couldn't do the reservation... But everything was fine in the end!

We absolutely loved everything, except it rained more than ever.

Nicole Arruda Bergamaschi

The accommodation is standard. Food at the restaurant can improve.

Elma Marais

Kruger is about wildlife but in reality is more than that. The time inside the park, yes, you see amazing animals, vegetation, rivers, a very good service vs cost on the camps but most important it allows to disconnect from our daily life’s and relax, enjoy the people traveling with you. Kruger, a great destination.

Buono il livello dei servizi , anche se le dimensioni del campo sono davvero notevoli

Giovanni Sartori

My party were excited every day for each experience with natures beauty. It was the camps themself that damped their experience. Food experience was not prepared well, service was for the most part little. Questions ask were not explain or just ignored by staff and management. They were not knowledgeable about park or animals. Over the last twenty five years i have personally been to the parks four times and each keeps getting worse. More money and services. Staff could care less what their clients needs are. You will always find those indivuals who raise to the service standard of being the "host" for their country. their effort makes everything worth experienceing atoliphants, buffet breadfast, ran out of items, the cook step in and try to get just bread brought out but the manager just walk away. His gifts on the grill were personal for each guest, all the guest could take the insult for this man's gorumey delights. The stores were expensive, most of the help and manage did their jobs as if we were a burden. Our first day i spoke to the manager and she seems not to like Americans. I excused myself and left, i then went to the park rangers who were taking guest about the park and was informed that if we paid for the experience he could present he would answer all our questions. and it was mention that we should "tip" at least 100 usd for their services. Now in the park their are certain areas or roads not allow by clients using their own vehicles. But this dosen't stop the rangers from using these roads. Money value is worth it, most of the people working or performing in the park service have little knowledge of animals or any thing else that might be helpful, i.e. directions? The main question, was procedures for viewing the animals, none. Safty WHERE, night rides, no safty. I will hire out side staff, again, my second and third trip to park. Advertise services not availible. All in all, don't blame the animals or the persons who book the adventures, Jan, work very hard on getting this trip together for us, a personal thank you, i will book again, people of this calibre make the journey to SA personal. the animals were magic. Michael Blake

Michael Blake

The camp is very nice, though my only comment is that the management is in serious need of an investment of new linens in the rooms. The sheets and towels are worn out and do give a feeling of uncleanness which does not go with the general camp conditions, which is clean.

samer abdelhaleem

Hello,Thanks to everyone at Kruger for making it such a wonderful experience. It was our last stop on a round the world trip including California, New Zealand, Thailand and Australia and was certainly the highlight. Incredible density of animals in a wonderful environment. We did leave behind a rather dear teddy bear in our room - has he been found? Many thanksMike

mike sandiford

The facilities were at our rondawel were extremely poor.

gerhard malan

The baboons at the chalets raided our freezer twice. No water at Tswane picnic spot.

The food in the camp restaurants is horrible and unhealthy - please improve.

Hanne Tang

We had a nice time in the camp. The Selati restaurant is excellent in terms of service and food. We enjoyed oue visit to the nursey very much. However, the ablutions were clean, but stinking especially the urinals in the gents. I reporded it to the cleaner but nothing happened. On the other hand, the ablutions at the entrance gates were excellent as usual.

Willem Vogel

What a wonderful experience is was to be in the Kruger National Park in autumn! Although the vegetation is still green and thick, we saw so many animals and it was beautiful to see them so fat and content. It was our second camping experience in Skukuza. The first time we were near the fence and it felt like being in the bush, with all the animal sounds by night. This time, however, we came too late to get a nice site. We did not know where we could set up our tents, as no one showed us available sites. Eventually, we found a spot (which we later discovered was part of our neighbours' site!!) were in the middle of the camping area and due to campers' noise and inconsiderations, it felt like being somewhere other than in the park. It was really disappointing. However, the availabililty of warm water, clean ablution, swimming pool, wonderful shop, etc almost made up for it.Our first experience of the night drive, was also very disappointing. There were not enough vans, we came back earlier than the others, and only saw a cammelion! The second time round, with the same tour guide... we complained and he promised us another route. That night we actually saw more animals. Next time I will definately try the morning walk.Altogether we had an awesome time. It was heartwarming to see the awareness and the look out for poachers. The park is clean and still one of our favorite holiday destinations. We will definately be back! Thanks SanParks!RegardsMagdel Smit and the rest of the family (we were 6 adults)

Magdel Smit

Please do something about the monkeys and baboons. It wouldn't be too difficult to just put screens around all the kitchens. We really loved seeing the history of the place and Stevenson Hamilton's first hut.We also saw tortoise, turtles, water monitor and 6 snakes, python, skaapsteaker, boomslang, and an other. Also, ground hornbill and Kori bustard.

Anthea Sparrow

Bungalows fared better than Satara, larger and cleaner. The A/C was very noisy, it rattled like a locomotive all night.Food and service were good. Unfortunately did not see too many animals.Staff a bit more helpful than Satara but not by much! Still could not get any information on how to proceed.Visited Kruger 20 years ago; rangers were more than happy to assist and free maps of the water holes and most likely areas to find animals were given. It has become too commercial and unfortunately lost its appeal.

good day,Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment!Of course the game viewing was great, kids loved it.We were very impressed with the ablution blocks for the camp site - the site was good as well - a bit chaotic in finding a spot though. We decided to lunch at Lower Sabie one day, big mistake. It is completely overpriced - which would have still been manageable if the food was not so bad. I, for example, ordered a 'roast vegetable tramezzini' and was presented with an OLD pita with BOILED frozen veggies in it (carrots, cauliflower and broccoli" with a wilted TOASTED lettuce leaf. It was absolutely disgusting and we have decided never to visit the camp again, or bother trying any of the other restaurants in the camp. The Germans at the table next to us were very amused. All he staff we had contact with, from the cleaners to the lady who booked us in to the guy who let us out when leaving were all very friendly and professional, which is great.A few years ago we went on a night drive and repeated it again this time. I have to say, however, that it was a great disappointment. the guide drove at such a speed that we saw very little, they did not seem to be in contact with each other (except for shouting from one truck to the next) and did not give us much information on the fauna and flora. Also something not to be repeated in future. we do, however, hope to visit the Park again soon, and due to the horrendous prices charged for the chalets, it will only be if we can camp again.regards, Adel

Adel McQuarrie

It was again a great experience. Also the camp and all the staff were very helpful. I will go back anytime ! Thanks.

Willie Marais

The restaurant and shop made up for the disappointment. 2 single bed sheets wrapped around a very old and saggy double bed mattress. Very crowded room with no space to put anything as there was cutlery and crockery on all possible flat surfaces. Very disappointing.

Lighting improvement on the road leading to the reception, from the bungalows. It was too dark when one tried to walk on foot to catch the sunrise drive..

Fanny Boy Mtsweni

Restuarant menu pathetic. According to staff another company was supposed to take the restuarant over and this could be the reason for the bad service and quality. Baboons stole items from fridge, no warnings at reception, while precautions were taken at Letaba, what a wonderfull camp and people!

andre van der walt

It is a pity that we were not warned of a plague of baboons or how to keep them out of the fridge.

Roger Grigg

A really great place to stay the cleaning staff are great the animals amazing and the accommodation is very good. A little bit rundown for the price but worth the extra just to experience the REAL South Africa game park.

Allan Gourlay

The stay was very nice...please can u forseen a grater and bread board to cut and slice...

Riekie Paul

Had a great time will be back this year, only shortfall that only one toilet in men's ablution, and the campsites are not numbered

Gerhard Boshoff

It was really an awesome experience, we really enjoyed the trip and the stay over. I just have 2 concerns, one was I reported that we had only one chair at our tent, and nothing was done about it, so we had to sit on the floor. Two when I wanted to put fuel in Satara their card facilities was down and there was no atm. That is a big concern.

Belinda Maia

I think there should be a way of not over charging visitors especially those who come from far. i mean i was charged R200.00 for escort together with other eight vehicles. Why charging all vehicles with one vehicle escorting the whole lot. I did not even got my proof of payment even after demanding it. I will probably have to think twice if i were to come visit your park again. I'm afraid to recommended to someone because of the bad hospitality.

Talifhani Walter Mashau

i aubrey mahlangu failed to arive at the park because of family metters, then i was ashaim to ask from you to postpone ma date.

i aubrey mahlangu failed to arive at the park because of family metters, then i was ashaim to ask from you to postpone ma date.

The bungalow we stayed in was very nice but i do have one complaint, it was described as riverside and the one we were placed in was not on the river like the other bungalow.

Donna Cummings

i aubrey mahlangu failed to arive at the park because of family metters, then i was ashaim to ask from you to postpone ma date.

Personnel not really reception they were chatting to one another in stead of helping as quick as possible. The keys were lying on the counter at half past twelve but we ha to wait until two to occupy.Restaurant very good.Food -no complaints..service good!.

Pieter van den Berg

All fridges should be made secure against monkeys. With this exeption, everything wasvery fine.

Henning Behrens

Nice camp with very good accommodation equipment. Kitchen fully equipped. Nice view on the river, nice staff. The negative point would go to the staff of the restaurant/caferteria who was totally demotivated and took 40 min to come back with our change.

Skukuza is always very good to camp at, and this time is no exception!

Christo du Plessis

Upon check-in the receptionist could not locate my booking and was very unhelpful and unfriendly. Was finally located on the computer system and was correct that I had booked and already paid. No apologies by staff. Found staff at Skukuza very rude. For the price I paid for the accommodation i was very disappointed that the bungalow had no power points to charge electronics and no electric kettle. Will not stay here again.

Catherine Muianga

The first night a mouse fell onto my face when I was asleep. A further mouse was then found in the wardrobe. The "grassed " area in font of the cottage wad uneven and overgrown with thorny weeds. We were moved to another cottage which was far better maintained but Sukuza is in a terrible state and is a very poor reflection of our National park. Peter the manager promised us a free nights stay due to the problems we experienced but this has has not happened.

Dawn Clark

Our Rest camp in Skukuza exceeded our expectation as everything was up to standard. Looking forward to many more visits to the park with many more friends. South African National Parks, keep up the good work.

Pastor Nala

Beautiful camp with great view and sounds of the river

Sabine Van rooijen

Very expensive as they cater mostly for overseas visitors. Campsite needs proper cleaning and amblutions needs doors and more bathrooms.

Adele van den Berg

Stay in Skukuza very nice! Did not see to many animals because of the density of the bush, but overall OK.

Monika Becker

Excellent accomodation with aircon and screens to keep the bugs out! Very clean, lots of room and the outside kitchen was fun! I would go back any time at all

Lovely experience and value for money, although strongly recommend booking ahead for a perimeter option.

Nicki Duff

This is the first ever kitchen without a kettle! We also did not enjoy having all the rooms separated. When it rains it's a problem getting from the kitchen to the dining room. The bathrooms are steaming hot when aircons are used in the bedrooms (which are sorely needed this time of year).Where have the bats gone?

Claudia Sander

Excellent accommodation, close to wildlife, free entertainment in both the ampitheatre and watching the monkeys and baboons raid people's bungalows

Christopher Nevin

A bit disappointed with the night drive where there were no animals and no expectation to see them since it is very bushy around. The same impression for the morning drive but luckily I saw lions up close.

Rafael Gulias

Overall a wonderful experience - especially the booking teams - but after the first night the toilet blocked and this was not resolved before we left the camp

Andreas Walther

We feel that the bungalows are to basic need to be updated to look a bit more inviting.

Richard Kloppers

I wish our stay was longer. It was very peaceful. The staff however was not answering the phone when we were on the way. We also paid an escort fee cos we arrived just after 18:30 as we were coming from Gauteng. My kids enjoyed swimming in the warm pool.I am also glad you had a petrol station in the camp otherwise we would have been stuck inside.

Myra Muligewe

Accommodation was poor, linen and curtains unclean, no bed was available for the child on arrival.

Murray Stewart

Excellent bungalow.Selati Restaurant great

Marius Kuhn

The 6-sleeper chalets was disappointing, maintenance is poor!

Daniela Maurer

Beautiful good facilities, well stocked shop.

Raymond Skead

We visit the Kruger every year and are never disappointed, we were there after the floods and many of the roads were closed, we still managed to see plenty. Thank you

Michelle Bodley

Well looked after camp and accommodation and very helpful and extremely pleasant staff. Only problem baboons raiding fridges on two days. Even with fridge turned around and jammed they managfed to pull it out. Locks really needed.

The whole trip was awesome - saw 4 of the big5. The leopard eluded us...The rain was also coming down in buckets which did not deter us. We left same day as the gates were closed due to flooding!!

Wessel Scheepers

I had one problem at skukuza, had Maroela breakfast on 10 January, before we left. The Scrambled eggs were off. I tasted something funny, took about 4 bites and stopped, within 3 hours I was really sick, leaving the park. They need to check on food sold to tourists, Im sure I was not the only one

Although a tad busy for our liking, the camp is well kept and we enjoyed our stay on the river. We hope catering will improve with privatisation.

Stefan de Villiers

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay in the park however what concerns me is the shortage in ablution facilities for all holiday makers. They seriously need to review this and build additional ablution blocks. I will be booking again for December.

Michael Smith

I was very disappointed to see lots of rubbish lying around the restaurant area and the staff making NO effort to pick it up.The quality of the food in the restaurant was poor and over priced. The prices of the food and curious in the shop was over priced. All the staff were very friendly!

Lambertus Zaayman

My expectations was high since this is the so called jewel of Africa and I was terribly disappointed. Their ablutions is poor compared to even small private campsites and during our stay I did not once found the floors clean and dry. The parks traffic officials are on a money making mission and looking for any opportunity to financially abuse visitors - this has a negative impact on the entire experience. I doubt if I will ever visit the Park again.

Joe Hundermark

Didnt have the same amenities in the unit as satara ie microwave and toaster. fridge should be lockable for baboons

Paul Nelson

Didn't like the camp. lots of drunk people on Christmas day that made a mess of the camp. Very comercialized and crowded. Pool too small.

stella van der westhuizen

Wonderful Experience

Isabel Baatsen

Accommodation was amazing. Very clean and very spacious. Unfortunately the public toilets were not clean, had no toilet paper and no liquid soap - not acceptable Skukuza!

Andrea Coetzee

I enjoyed my vist seeing all but cats. Huts without kitchen could do with a 2 ring stove installed

David Lewis

Enjoyed my stay a lot . The conditions of the roads is a concern.

pretorius Louwtjie

Found the camp and the park very pleasing. Not enough warnings about monkeys stealing food from fridge on porch though. Thank you for the service you provide for conservation and humankind.

Loredana Lisinski

it was very nice to stay in skukuza my family was all satisfied with the accomodation. thank you

Zia Choi

Always enjoy Kruger National Park. I feel that the bungalows needs updating, new tiles and fittings.

William Jacobus Bouwer

Our bungalow did not have a kettle at all, and we were forced to purchase and overpriced aluminum kettle at the Skukuza shop. The warning pertaining to monkeys and baboons was also not accurate- the warning advises to put the table and/or chairs in front of the fridge so as to prohibit the primates from gaining access. They simply pulled it away, ate our fresh fruit and veg and left our meat (a week's worth!) to rot. Although housekeeping had been there, they did not even close the fridge so as to save what was left of our food. The toilet didn't flush properly. Housekeeping didn't empty the bins inside the bungalow. The aircon of the bungalow next to ours made such a horrible squeaking noise that we couldn't properly enjoy the quite and clam of the bush. The night drive which we had booked was an absolute waste of time and money. Our "ranger" spoke so incoherently that she was asked to spell words so that we could understand. But here comes the kicker... She couldn't spell "TOWER" (as in- a TOWER of giraffe) She spelt "...T...O..., eh..." and then just continued driving. The vehicle in which we had be driving had a noisy fanbelt and squeaky brakes. The park (outside the camp) was pristine, but the camp itself leaves much to be desired at the rate at which it is offered.

Miekie van Wyk

The Skukuza Camp is nice and the bungalow where we stayed was ok. We were not very impressed with the Sunset safari and that is why we decided not to take the Sunrise safari. It lacked excitement and information.

Benedita Rodrigues

I truly enjoyed the stay and everything was up to standard at the camp

Veda Dworak

The tent sites are not clearly marked and the office does not allocate you a site - you must find yourself a spot. We booked 4 sites and could not find any close to each other.Other than that, we saw lots of animals so that made the experience worthwhile.

Absolutely loved it at Skukuza. The only issue is the swimming pools that were not kept clean at all times and the area around the pools should be updated.

Dennis Potgieter

Excellent December Holiday! Once in a lifetime experience.

KNP is not what it used to be! We found a steady deterioration in most of the camps sadly!!!

The Kruger Park was lovely. The amenities in the one chalet, however were not impressive. The stove did not work and the shower was flooding. Luckily we had 2 units and thus utilised the other units stove and shower. I experienced theft of food (not by monkeys/baboons) but from chalets around us. (call me, to explain further) I think locks on the fridges will resolve this issue. It will keep out the animals from helping themselves and the humans from stealing. The advertised kiddies programmes were not always held. My 4 year old was highly disappointed, when I told her the story time she was going to attend is no longer being held. As adults we were dissatisfied as this 'advertising' and lack of deliverance by the park. My bungalow numbers were 15 & 16. As for the viewing of the animals and park experience, we had a fantastic time. Why is there no education being offered in the park around pouching! The signs to look out for and the dangers it poses. Telephone numbers to contact etc. Surely the public can be of assistance in this regard as well.

Nice bungalow. Nice restaurant for dinner. People at the check-in very unfriendly. Expensive breakfast.

Pascal H.

Ablution facilities did not work for most of the weekend. Camp are too crowded.

Willie Cloete

I really was impressed with the Park and the Skukuza Rest Camp. The number of animals seen during my short hour and a half drive from to gate to the lodge was just amazing. I highly recommend the lodge for families due to its conveniences. I regret not having time to take safaris but I definitely will the next time.

Lorn Hill

The Morning Walk was excellent.

Anna Weltman

Unfortunately the aircon in Satara was not effective in one of the bungalows allocated to us. And with higher temperature in that specific day it was so unpleasant.

Alfred Maifala

Overall the trip was enjoyable and for the first time in the Kruger we saw a Leopard in the wild eating a Tortoise. The accommodation was up standard, with the only fault being the quality of food at the various restaurants. Our New years eve barbecue was below standard but I assume that we South Africans have a very high standard. The Chefs need to cook the meat (especially the Chicken) much longer as this was still raw when served. My wife and I had a great weekend and will see you again in Winter.

I was forced to drive around the camp site for literally an hour and a half looking for a suitable site, in the blistering December heat. So either the camp was over booked, or, and this is what I believe, because the sites are not marked, people were taking up more than one camp. There were several instances where campers had more than one tent, a vehicle or two and gazebo’s creating a problem for people coming in on that particular day were not able to find a camp site. The staff, after some complaining, eventually allowed us to setup camp next to one of the communal kitchens, so as to have access to power, since that is what we paid for.Other than that our first Kruger Park experience was very nice.

Gerald Burfger

Overall was this a very nice holiday. Again the toilets and bathrooms at the offices and in the camp (not the chalets) was not neat and clean. This make the whole experience not a nice one.

A wonderful, relaxing vacation. Will repeatit during long weekends this year.

Skukuza was a great place to stay and a good base to see all the animals we wanted to see. The accommodation was comfortable with added bonus of monkeys hanging around. We took a night safari from the camp which proved to be fun and profitable as we saw 4 of the big 5.Even baby lions nursing on the road! We loved eating our dinners on the deck overlooking the hippo river.Overall a memorable adventure.

Diane Sampson

The camp was pretty clean, and the staff were pretty cool and friendly, and the layout I think was good. The men's ablution facilities, were to small, only 2 toilets per 20 men??? That was a HUGE problem. And on the ladies side, my girlfriend was really disappointed / disgusted. The toilets were filthy and unacceptable. The rest was great.

Riaan van Niekerk

People from the adjacent bungalow took our table, chairs, pots and pans before we arrived, and we had to salvage them from other bungalows...That was really annoying? We went for a night drive, but it rained and was cold... Couldn't see much. Not sure it's a good value for money. On a positive note, we went driving on our own and saw some amazing things over a course of 2.5 hours, so that was pretty cool. Thanks.

We had a wonderful time though we could not make it to Satara camp area where we were told that the Big Five and other animals are "in huge supply" but no regrets; we still wanna go back to Satara and the northern parts of the Kruger. My first trip to the Kruger was not so memorable as I struggled to find even impalas and zebras. This time around I saw a hyena barely 5 minutes into the Kruger gate. Awesome experience

Tumelo Molefe

We had a very pleasant time and saw a lot of animals. Can not wait for our next trip.- THANKS.

Zirk Bekker

We had a great time, and unfortunately the doctor came in handy for a sick kid.Only slight disappointment was lack of hot water in our unit's shower.

Paul Nelson

We were located in a bungalow in front of the river. The bungalow was very well equipped and serviced. Besides driving ourselves we participated in a walk with 2 rangers which was a fantastic experience - thanks.

Kruger Park is by far the best camping experience you can have. We had a great time even though it rained every day, but winter is on its way and nature needs water. I have only two concerns, one can be addressed by the park the other needs to be handled by the visitors. The first one is the amount of day visitors in the camp on Christmas day. There were day visitors at the camp pool and they left very late, some were even still there at six. The other matter is the litter in the park. I find it terrible that people can be so selfish when visiting. Other than that and really both matters did not spoil my visit, just made me think. Thank you very much I rested completely as I always do when I am there.

Lesley Bekker

I think the camp needs some renovations. I used to visit the Skukuza camp before and now it seems like the standard has dropped drastically.

Andreas Mathebula

Got up early and saw some great animals.

Dewald Niemandt

Bungalo was nice, but pool needs work. Pool was green with algae, which is not acceptable in the middle of the summer!

I'd like to compliment Tanya, her service was great. Overall the park was tops.

Yusuf Sarang

No matter how many times you visit Kruger, it is always a great experience to see all the wild animals in their natural environment. Sanparks keep up the good work!

Dolf Smith

Being in Kruger National Park was an experience of a lifetime. I enjoyed a lot, and managed to see lots of memories of the late Paul and others. I would like the main gate reception to provide us with maps just like they do at Skukuza Camp, but after all, it was amazing.

carel masemola

Stayed in luxury chalet. Was amazing!

We love the Kruger Park dearly, but do find that the accommodation is very costly for the minimum basics and the restaurants are very average, compared to even a couple of years ago.Laundry facilities were non functioning!Unfortunately, this time we have also notice a lot of litter along the roads, especially around Skukuza rest camp.

Cornel Meyer

For the main camp of a national asset, Skukuza is very sad, tents old and broken, fridge dirty and dirty towels were found in room. General decay everywhere. People were friendly but restaurant and food service needs manager to oversee, tables dirty and chairs broken. When will this improve. Must say workers tried but not trained well and no manager to oversee, please fix.

Jaco Kruger

The leopard sighting was magnificent, we saw it in a dried up stream bed on the road north from Skukuza.

James Craigie

Accommodation was comfortable and basic. However the amenities in the bungalows need attention - broken slatted table and old looking chairs. Cutlery/crockery very oddly paired. Perhaps a fan could be included in bungalows as well and a bit of a general upgrade done. At R1 000 per night one expects a little better standard and value for money (even for December holiday rate). KNP has become quite costly for SA residents to enjoy. Quality of food served at picnic restaurant not up to standard (breakfast VERY oily and distasteful). Staff friendly and helpful and facility at Skukuza shop very good although quite costly. Swimming pool at Skukuza not very clean and no grass area or good place to sit. However we were fortunate to view all the Big 5 and other wildlife as well.

Glendyr Roberts

Kruger remains a phenomenal experience, but Skukuza is one of my least favourite camps to visit. Good facilities but just too big and crowded for me.

Ian Ash

Overall a very good experience. We saw a lot of birds as well. Thank you, we will be back.

chris van vuuren

I just want to thank you for the excellent help that we received during our stay at the Park. Thanks for all the friendly staff who assist you where ever you go. Keep it up.

Susanna Kriel

Overall a most enjoyable experience. Camp rules and atmosphere really contribute positively to an enjoyable and restful experience. Only negative was the flood that poured through the roof in the kitchen/lounge area on teh Saturday night during that fantastic thunder storm. It was dryer outside than in !!!

Bernie Hanaray

The accommodation was good value for money (by Australian standards) but we had mice(or similar) in our thatched roof with droppings landing on my pillow. We later had a similar experience at Latabi (booked by someone else) with rats/bushbabies?. At Lower Sabie, a bird had nested in an external light, causing smoke to rise from the nest when the light was on. If it did ignite, the whole roof would have been burnt. Our neigbour, who saw the smoke, reported the incident.

Jeff Kite

The park is really worth a visit. However I did find the unexpected charge of R1224.00 on arrival unacceptable. A warning of the high cost of entering the park needs to be given to visitors. We paid in advance and were told that there would be a conservation fee. At no time was the amount of money to be charged mentioned. We saved for a long time to visit the park and to find the very unexpected amount on arrival unacceptable. You must mention to potential visitors the amount of money that is required up front and not hit them with it when they have paid for everything and have no choice. Your feedback and comments on this would be appreciated.RegardsCynthia Moulton

Thank you for a fantastic time!! The accommodation was perfect and the environment was unbeatable. Will go back anytime!!

Gate's closing times are confusing, they should be clearly stated that they close 20 minutes before closing time, I had to wait for an escort for 40 minutes while I have arrived 20 minutes before time and was told that outside and inside gates close at the same time so I can't be allowed in. I was taken to the room which did not have what was in the confirmation, sleeping bed which was to be there was not, aircon which was not there instead there was a noisy fan. Room service people were not friendly, first day they knocked on my window which I find completely unacceptable and second day the guy who was cleaning was very rude to us. Please train your staff to accommodate gay partners as well.

Ms Faith Kgaditse

The hot plate in our rondavel was very slow and it would not have been possible to cook on it. We had taken cold meats and salads with us and so coped. A kettle would have been nice! There was plenty of hot water and staff were courteous and helpful.
