Sabi Sand Game Reserve, the "birthplace" of sustainable wilderness tourism and development in Sub-Saharan Africa, loved by by guests and staff alike as a place of wilderness, wildlife and adventure. Home to the extensive Mpumalanga cross-section of wildlife, including the Big Five and various endangered species, the park also shares 50 kilometers of its unfenced boundary line with neighbouring Kruger National Park. Animals pass casually between the two parks, unhindered and abundant.
Nkorho Bush Lodge, located in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, as well as being an established African bushveld getaway - a comfortable nature-environment, where guests can take in some bird watching, or relax in the comfort of their chalets, all the time immersed in the bush experience that is Nkorho Bush Lodge.
Six en-suite thatched chalets are available for accommodation at Nkorho, hosting up to twelve guests. These four-star rated units include a hearty breakfast enjoyed under a thatched deck, dinner around a fire at the leadwood boma, bar facilities, a rock pool, and a laundry service.
Nkorho Bush Lodge offers entertainment in the way of guided safari drives, one conducted in the morning, the other at dusk. These outings are coordinated, and the guests kept up to date by teams of experienced game rangers and local shangaan trackers. Guided bush walks are also conducted during the day, during which guests have the opportunity to get within arm's reach of the animals they spot, as well as engaging with their trackers on the topics of local bush types, bird habitats, and the area's history.
The lodge provides fax and photocopying services, internet access, parking facilities, babysitting, laundry services, on-site bar, and a swimming pool. There is a "no pets permitted" policy.

"After a warmly welcome we joined two unforgettable days at Nkorho Bush Lodge. The stay in the wedding lodge was a great pleasure. The room was clean well equipped and big. Safaris and relaxing was a very good combination no stress in between. The served meals were presented nicely and in a very good quality. The safaris we participated were full of exciting experiences of the African game world. The knowledge of the ranger with scout was enormous and it was a pleasure to participate such an experience."
"We spent some nights in Nkorho and we were really satisfied! The team is really friendly, the place is beautiful in Sabi Sand with a great view of a water point with animals most of the time and a swimming pool to chill during the afternoon. The guide and tracker show us the BIG 5 and much more. Memorable honeymoon!"
"We have had a great time at the Nkorho Bush Lodge, very friendly staff and fantastic food, although the weather was not that good, Peter did his utmost during the game drives. We were very fortunate to see a leopard mother and baby."
"What a wonderful place! In the middle of Sabi Sand (private game reserve) you will find Nkorho Bush Lodge. Arriving there give you a feeling of luxury, because of the nice people, great service and beautiful lodges. There are only 8 lodges, so it's really quiet, with a nice pool and nice food. The best however are the game drives: early morning and late in the afternoon you will get on a jeep with a tracker and a ranger and they will find the best wildlife. Not just from the main road, but they will get into the bush to get you close to the wildlife. We saw wild dogs, lions, leopards, elephants and rhino's really close. And of course lots of other wildlife during the game drives. Excellent place! I really want to go back there some day!"
"We had an excellent experience, very lucky with the weather and the game drives. Accommodation is very reasonable, good value for money, friendly and professional staff, good catering. Ranger and tracker were professional, helping to find the animals as well as the best positions to take great photos. As it is unfenced, we had great opportunity to see large herds of buffalo and elephants, and the game drive - game walk combination is also very good option."

"Our stay at Nkohro was outstanding in every way. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were made to feel very special by all the staff. Their hospitality was excellent, and - of course - the safari was first class. It's partly a matter of luck as to what you see, but our tracker Sydney and ranger Peter worked well a a team, kept us entertained and were knowledgeable guides to our environment. And we saw all the big five, and plenty more. Thank you for an outstanding experience which I'll recommend heartily to friends & family, hoping that we'll be able to return one day."
"This was my second safari, having first been on one in the Eastern Cape three years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed it: the game viewing was excellent; the lodge was very comfortable; and the staff could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable. The only downside is the horrible drive over 20k of dirt road to get there!"

"We spent 4 days (3 nights) at Nkorho and had 2 adjacent chalets (one for us and another for our 3 children). Our stay at Nkorho exceeded all of our expectations; the lodge is extremely comfortable, all staff are incredibly welcoming and we enjoyed all of the meals (they even prepared a birthday cake for dinner for one of my daughters). The absolute highlight of our stay were the game drives and we loved how passionate Werner (our ranger) and Chris (our tracker) were about their jobs. Every game drive was incredible and really exciting; 5 juvenile male lions competing for an existing territory was amazing. We were lucky to see leopard on several occasions (one came into camp on our last night whilst we were having dinner in the Boma). It was great to be able to drive off road through the bush tracking different animals (leopard on our last evening was very special). We were lucky to see the 'Big 5' but were also really interested in other wildlife and plants too. My husband is a keen birder and Werner's passion and knowledge of South African birds was incredible; the Ground hornbill will stay in our memories forever! A perfect end to our South African adventure - thank you Nkorho."
"Mum and I had a wonderful 4 days at Nkorho in Sabi Sands. From the moment we arrived we were impressed by the friendly, attentive, nothing is too much trouble attitude of everyone we met, the beautiful chalet with the welcoming touches, and the sight of giraffes wandering past the front of the lodge down to the watering hole. The morning and afternoon game drives were absolutely fantastic - I can't believe we were so close to lions and leopards and off the tracks in the bush (without fear) - every single drive Pieter and David found something amazing for us to view that we hadn't seen before and shared fun and interesting stories, and you never knew what would appear around the next corner. Thanks to Karin and the team for looking after us so well. We'll be back!"
