Camp was great,restaurant was good.

I found going through the gates rather painful, as a Wilde card holder surely it would be best to ease the frustration of your visitors by having a swipe card system. (we came into the park for 3 day visits) Not all staff at the gates were friendly. Your team at Satara camp were okay, not encouraging for tourists! Besides all that, we LOVE the Kruger!

The stay all in all was pleasant the nightmare was the rat on my bed and when asked on reception for help nobody cared about it, and the communal kitchen the stove was pre historic!!!May be a microwave should be available and if electric stove one that worked faster than one that was available. The food at the restaurant was disgusting but we met the new manager and wished him all the luck because he is going to need it. The coffee shops at picnic spots must improved from last time we stayed at the park. I need information about the parks card and no one could tell me if I could use it at KZN and at Sodwana Bay, may be staff should be more knowledgeable.Best RegardsHelena

Thanks again for a great stay in the Kruger, it was worth the 2000kms from Cape Town. Facilities were well kept, and the staff always friendly. Only complaint would be the bad corrogations on some of the dirt roads surrounding Satara.
Andrew Kops
By far my favourite rest camp. Very clean units and camp site. Looking forward to going back there next year.

Satara was friendly and professional. The only problem we had was a leaking toilet which was quite irritating. The bungalows were clean and well looked after. We were missing a couple of items such as a bread board and dish rack. We viewed a lot of incredible birdlife.

Satara bungalows exceeded our expectations. Our night drive there was fun and the guide extended it by nearly an hour free of charge. We also were pleasantly surprised by the picnic sites with skottels to rent.
Y. van der Byl
As always I enjoy the Kruger, however my observation is that the standard of bungalow accommodation at Satara has dropped. ie: the bathroom/shower and the kitchen area's are in need of a revamp, however one understands that resources aren't always available, BUT there can be NO EXCUSE for FILTH, if there were a proper cleaning routine, (shower tiles scrubbed and marks on walls, washed off) I'm sure it would make a huge difference. My biggest disappointment was the picnic spot at Mlondozi, once again the rest rooms were in state of FILTH, basins as well as toilets are in need of continual, good cleaning, hygiene is imperative especially when visitor volumes are high. Please could you change the rest room access from stairs to ramps, the elderly and mobile assisted need safe access. No staff actively present.ATTENTION TO DETAIL is imperative, should Sanparks want to continue attracting visitors.Recognition for service excellence must go to the staff at N'wanetsi Picnic spot, the grounds restrooms and kitchen area's were spotless and the staff were actively present at all times.

will definatly stay in this camp again, we saw the most animals at this camp, we drove back from letaba to visit the area

It was awesome. Ablutions were clean. Whould be good to make it more public knowledge that there is limited camps where you can draw money and that the petrol station only take cash or petrol card. We were almost stranded because of this.
Marius Steyn
Pleasant. Ablution Blocks can do with better cleaning. Overall a nice experience.

Reception staff, it is as if they have this attitude that they are doing the visitors one heck of a favor, these people need addressing with this attitude. Apart from the booking in this was amazing week-end.

The facility, reception, etc was excellent. However, we would like to see more stuff with the relevant camp's name on it, as one can see clearly that they cater for the overseas tourists, as everything is marked either South Africa, or only Kruger Nat Park?
Linda Labuschagne
Nice and clean camp. Restaurant not very good. Had to asked for service. Waited a long time for our food. Food were nice. Not a big variety of cooldrinks in restaurant. We also bought cooldrinks from the shop that was past the expiring date.
Stone Steenkamp
The only problem were the thorns at the camp site (devil thorns). I think that the thorny plants on the ground should be sprayed with herbicide.

Good day. We did enjoy our stay in the Kruger Park. We had a very nice Caravan Stand close to the fence, however the bathrooms were not always tidy. We never saw a cleaner there and we once had to go and report drain blockages at reception. They did respond immediately and the problem was attended to. Apart from that, we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely visit again.

The amount of animals we have seen around Satara was exceptional. It was wonderful to hear the hyenas and lions at night. The only disappointment was Satara's caravan park which lack a huge amount of shade. It will be really nice if some attention can be given to the camping sites. If the caravan park looks better, I am sure that Satara will be one of the most popular camps in the Kruger Park.

After spending a full day travelling from Crocodile Bridge Gate, it was an absolute pleasure to arrive at Satara and book in hassle-free. The shop was well stocked and clean. Our accommodation was perfect and we had a peaceful evening after a long day in the Park.

Ons het dit baie geniet, op een dag die groot 5 gesien dit was ongelooflik. Die verblyf was lekker.

I must report that toilets and bathrooms are very clean, what a plus. What was disappointing that no work has been started on repairs to bridges and roads after floods. Then, rhinos, we saw rhinos and realised how easy it would be to poach one, our vehicle was not searched for rifles at the gate, again our vehicle was not searched on leaving the Park.Regards,Andy Basson

Satara needs a firm hand and maintenance. Hut infested with mice.

Being a true city girl, the KNP is my favourite holiday spot to unwind from the rush and demands of city life and my job. Thanks to all concerned for making each trip to the Park memorable.

We had a lovely time staying at Satara Rest Camp. The camp is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. Given that Satara is one of the larger camps in the park, the layout nevertheless assures privacy and peace and quiet. It is centrally located within the park and easily reached from Orpen gate. Because it is located in open savannah, it was easy to see lots of animals, including most of the big five and larger herds of antelope and the like. We had a great time!
Stadler Gisela
Good camp with plenty of animals

Very hot, but the swimming pools @ various camps made that bearable!!! Thanks again 4 a wonderful stay!!! We'll be back!!

We'd expected there to be pots, pans etc. to be available in the communal kitchen, which was not the case. Other than that, we had a great time. Especially the night drive was well worth it.
Dolores van Dyk
We were really impressed with the standard of the bungalo compared to our experience in the same camp 2 years ago. It was very well equipped, clean and everything in a working condition. Thank you, we will definitely come back to Satara.
A Edwards
Satara is always special, the cottages spotless but also beginning to show their age.The recycling bins are not too intrusive, this was a major grip in other camps, they could be positioned more sensitively. Good game viewing
Robert Berrington
Decor and finishes were less impressive than Skukuza. Monkeys broke into the fridge and stole eggs, chocolate, carrots etc.
Ettiene Cronje
Had very nice stay. Nice big camping side. Very private in camping side with lots of trees. Thanks for a stunning camping experience and Satara is a good camp. Only problem was the bathroom wasn't very clean.

Keith - best travel agent in the world
Keith is such an amazing communicator, very organised and helpful. This will be my first ever visit to the Kruger national park. As a fellow South African I never had the chance to visit the Kruger NP. Keith sent us voice recordings and I cried listening to his accent and hearing the beautiful nature in the background bringing back so many fond memories of our beautiful country. These messages were so special! I can’t wait to visit and am really looking forward to the most magical experience.
