Reviews

"Emily was the perfect host and the location, guides, and spare-no-expense wine list were all magnificent. High concentration of great game, particularly close-in giraffes, was stunning. You don't have to drive far or 'track' too long to find great game. The rhinos and their babies were especially formidable. Live like a billionaire and go here."

"We stayed for seven nights at this beautiful lodge situated In Malilngwe Reserve - a stunning location for any game drive capped with culinary delights, an amazing wine list and superb service and hospitality. Thanks to house manager David and team for making this truly an experience of a lifetime. Still we came to see the animals and our guide Mark did not disappoint us with his wide scope of knowledge and passion for animals, plants and birds alike -- providing an exceptional opportunity to learn, experience and soak in the reserve."

"From exciting game drives and walks to relaxing boat rides. Great wine, wonderful staff and a superb selection of some of South Africa's best vintages. Singita Pamushana has no peer. The guiding, the most significant part of any safari, is insightful, discrete and enlightening. Please visit the local community if you are fortunate enough to visit - you will be amazed at all the philanthropic work going on."

"I had the privilege of staying in this lodge during the filming of the big 5 series 2 in sept 2010 and I was blown away by this place. Absolutely beautiful views from every angle of the lodge, especially the infinity pool. Great food and super friendly staff. I was very lucky to be able to stay here. I felt very well taken care of here."

"The Singita Pamashana Lodge exceeded my greatest expectations. Even prior to our arrival in Zimbabwe on July 23rd, the staff were helpful, patient, and courteous. Our entire group of 10 had stunning accommodations with breathtaking views. We could not ask for anything more. The staff did an incredible job of paying attention to detail and making sure all of our needs where met for the 9 days that we were there. The service was simply stellar. Our game drives were just as spectacular. Our guide Jephat was amazing. The best in the business!!! We learned so much about wildlife and saw every animal on our wish list. If you keep really still, the lion's roar becomes rhythmic with your own heartbeat. This was a beautiful, transformative experience. "Zim" and the Singita Pamashana have a piece of my heart and will be remembered and cherished for forever."

"Pamushana Lodge offers un-paralleled service combined with five star accommodation. The dining experience is memorable and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Being able to experience the amazing wildlife coupled with elegance and luxury is an experience that is not to be missed. Singita offers a unique opportunity to discover the delights of Africa & South Africa in settings that are amazing. We will be visiting other Singita properties in Africa, in September and plan on returning to Pamushana in January 2014."

"I was fortunate to visit Pamushana Lodge with 5 friends for 4 nights in late September 2014. We were very lucky to have Mark as our guide and within 2 days spotted the Big 5! I have to say the most memorable was the sunset cruises on the river, drinking spirits and observing the wildlife on the banks. We saw a rare Black Rhino there and many Hippos and Crocks and beautiful birds. The service and attention from the staff at the Lodge was magical. Attention to detail was impressive. It was hot enough for us to enjoy the main pool and our our private pools as well. We all had a great experience at Singita Pamushana Lodge."

"Singita Pamushana Lodge is a place of sublime beauty and the game reserve in which it sits boasts a stunning diversity of flora and fauna. Sitting on top of a hill overlooking a reservoir and, beyond it, the vast expanse that is Africa, the location of the accommodation and restaurant is spectacular. The accommodation is superb and every single member of Jason's team work diligently to provide a level of customer service of the highest quality. The food is, thoughtfully prepared and delicious, whether it's breakfast, lunch, High Tea or dinner. The wine cellar is excellent and each evening we were offered different varieties to try from some of South Africa's finest vineyards. Of course, the real reason to visit somewhere like this is to experience Africa and it's astonishing ecosystem. Our guides Fortune and Tengwe (such was the size of our party that we had two) displayed a fantastic knowledge, together with charm, humour and a willingness to do everything they possibly could to make our experience unforgettable. We were lucky enough to register sightings of all of the Big Five, plus much more. We even spotted a Leopard through the telescope in the villa, relaxing by the reservoir. This place is a gem. I hope I will be lucky enough to be able to visit it again one day."

"If you are looking for a trip of a lifetime, you must go to Africa. I have technically been to Southern Africa twice, once to Zambia and once to Zimbabwe. I recommend Zimbabwe simply because it has cats in its parks and Zambia does not. And there is nothing cooler than being 10 feet from a lion :) We stayed at the Pamushana Lodge for 4 nights. First class service, first class lodge, all-inclusive, amazing food... you can't go wrong. Our daily guides were phenomenal and knew the answer to every question we asked (we tried multiple times to stump them.) One thing to note, you probably only need about 4-5 days here because really all there is to do is go on a safari. But believe me, these don't get boring (you go twice a day). You will see new animals every time you go out! Our highlights were seeing several lions, seeing a cheetah with her baby cubs (and meeting the Discovery Channel photographer who was there following them), being charged by an elephant, having a herd of elephants cross our paths (5 feet away!), experiencing the real wild by coming across a bunch of hyenas feasting on a giraffe... the list could go on! We happened to be there during New Years too and the lodge put on a fantastic feast with local entertainment, which really made us feel a part of the culture. I would 100% recommend visiting the Pamushana Lodge. I hope to go back here someday when I have children because I feel like this is a such a cool experience for people of all ages!"

"We have stayed in many top lodges over the years and without a doubt we found Singita to be superior to all others in staff attitude, facilities and dining. The staff went that extra mile to look after us and best of all, were fun to be with and made our stay perfect. The accommodation and facilities were exceptional. The food would have bettered most 5 star restaurants with ample choices and sweets to die for. (Well done Shane.) The quality of game sightings was great. Many thanks to Mark, our guide. Great company. Mark had to put up with two fairly demanding photographers and he excelled in not only finding the game but also placed the vehicle in the right position to take the photo. Also his knowledge of the history of the area and its cave paintings was fantastic. We had a wonderful time. Our next visit will be for a week as we did not have time to take in the historical sites etc."

"I spent 3 incredible days at Singita Pamushana In the large 5 bedroom villa. Incredible does not begin to describe how gorgeous the furnishings, and decorations are in this lodge. It is definitely an upscale game reserve lodge with all the amenities you would expect. We stayed 4 days previously at another upscale game reserve, and singita pamushana is so much larger. The amount of animals we encountered during our safaris were incredible! We saw large herds of animals which was awesome for us. We were constantly bombarded with animals around every turn. Mr. T our ranger was so knowledgeable, and funny we enjoyed his company very much. I am so grateful for this experience, and will cherish it for the rest of my life!"
