Your safari adventure begins today with a flight from Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport to Hoedspruit. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the lodge for check-in.
Depending on your time of arrival, you may venture out on your first-afternoon game in search of wildlife including the Big 5. Game drives are approximately three and a half hours to four hours long with a stop to enjoy your favorite drink whilst looking upon the most majestic sunset. You return to camp in the early evening to enjoy a perfectly prepared meal under the African sky.
The next two days will be spent exploring the bushveld on morning and afternoon game drives and if you are feeling adventurous, you may choose to venture out on the mid-morning bush walk with your guide. Bush walks are truly unique as they allow you to discover the beauty of the African wilderness.

After your morning game drive and a sumptuous breakfast, you gather your belongings and transfer to Hoedspruit airport to board your scheduled flight to Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport. On arrival in Johannesburg, you will be met and transferred to Sun City Resort.
After checking in to your room at The Palace of the Lost City, you will have the next few days to explore the world's most unique resort and the various attractions on offer, including the Valley of the Waves with its wave pool, thrilling slides and lazy river. Try your hand at a game of poker at the casino or enjoy a round of golf on the Gary Player Golf Course. Sun City has something for everyone!

After a heart-warming breakfast, you will travel back to Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport. Once you arrive you will check in for your scheduled flight to Cape Town. On arrival at Cape Town's International Airport and will be met and transferred to your hotel.
After checking in to your room, you will have free time to explore top attractions in Cape Town, including the iconic Table Mountain, the bustling V&A Waterfront and top wine estates. Cape Town boasts a number of award-winning restaurants and unique activities. With so much to see and do, we recommend chatting to your travel expert about the different tour options.

Experienced a double booking
Before payment, we experienced an issue of double booking, where suddenly our chosen lodging is only available for 2 out of 4 days. I hope Safari.com can improve their system to avoid this in the future. While it will be an inconvenience on our part to have to move lodging half way, we also understand the high demand of the lodging as we make the booking just 5 months before departure. I really appreciate Nelia's quick action informing us and providing an alternative plan which works for us. Overall it was quite a smooth booking process.

Fantastic travel agent for African safari family trip!
Wow! Shann was and is fantastic! She figured out a way to make our entire trip work. We are going on a 2 week trip to South Africa and Botswana. She really helped tie it all together as a wonderful, cohesive trip. She is super nice and super smart and very knowledgeable. She is also flexible and thoughtful, etc., etc. When the chips were down (and we literally were considering pulling the plug on the whole trip), she found a way to make the entire itinerary work and got us excited about our wonderful adventure!
