Affiliate agreement.

Last updated 14 May 2026

This contract serves to confirm the partnership between Safari.com (hereinafter referred to as "the company") and private or public affiliates (hereinafter referred to as "affiliate"). The agreement is effective on the date you indicate acceptance by accepting these terms in your affiliate dashboard.

This contract further sets out the agreed upon terms and conditions for which the company will compensate the affiliate for the service of providing confirmed safari bookings to the company through the provision of qualified leads.

1. Definitions

1.1. Referred Lead

An individual who provides their primary contact information — including, but not limited to, telephone number, email address, and budget — and is actively engaged in planning an African safari.

1.2. Booking, Not Traveled

A lead that has been converted into a paid booking, wherein the client has not yet embarked on their trip.

1.3. Gross Commission

The total commission earned from a booking, calculated as the full sales amount paid by the client minus the costs associated with flights, accommodation, transfers, and all other expenses included in the client's itinerary.

1.4. Affiliate Fee

A one-time monetary payment to the affiliate as compensation for providing a qualified lead to Safari.com that resulted in actual revenue through a paid booking.

1.5. Client

An individual, group, or organization that engages the services of Safari.com for planning, booking, and concierge services for a vacation in Africa, through payment to the Company in accordance with the provided quote.

2. Unique offerings

2.1. Qualification of Referred Leads

A referred lead qualifies for an affiliate fee only if the lead, along with their associated email address or contact number, does not exist in any of the company's databases. This ensures that the referred lead represents a unique and new opportunity for the company to generate revenue through its services.

3. Privacy & data protection

3.1. Data Responsibility

The affiliate is solely responsible for complying with all privacy and data protection regulations concerning the collection, storage, and sharing of the referred lead's personal data with Safari.com.

4. Activation

4.1. Affiliate Onboarding and Lead Generation

Upon signing up, the Affiliate will receive an affiliate code (e.g., AB12) and a tier allocation as detailed in section 5.2. From this point, leads can be generated through the following methods:

i) Public Link Sharing: Provide a link containing your affiliate code on your website, YouTube channel, Instagram, or other public platforms for visitors to follow.

ii) Direct Client Links: Share a link with your clients that includes your affiliate code, which they will click and follow directly.

iii) Enquiry Submission: Follow a link with your affiliate code to place an enquiry on behalf of your client.

iv) Email Submissions: Send an email to helpmeplan@safari.com with your affiliate code in the subject line, and we will handle the lead registration for you.

Note: The aforementioned links can direct to any destinations, packages, or lodges available on our website.

Regardless of the method used, the Affiliate must provide Safari.com with the following client details when registering a qualified lead:

  • First and last name of the primary contact
  • Contact number for the primary contact
  • Email address for the primary contact
  • Client's daily budget
  • Known interests related to the destination(s) the client wishes to visit

4.2. Reporting

Affiliates have access to a live dashboard at safari.com/affiliates/<your code> detailing all clicks, leads, bookings, and the travel dates associated with those bookings within the system. The dashboard updates in real time as records are touched in our CRM, and replaces the previous monthly report.

5. Payment terms

5.1. Payment Eligibility

An affiliate fee is payable only after the client has completed their travel. At this stage, the company can confirm that no cancellations have occurred.

5.2. Qualification Revenue Table

The gross commission generated by the Affiliate will be reviewed following sales to determine the appropriate affiliate fee.

Tier Gross commission generated Referral commission
Silver affiliate $0 – $15,000 15%
Gold affiliate $15,000 – $30,000 17.5%
Platinum affiliate $30,000+ 22.5%

6. Tier promotion

6.1. Eligibility for Tier Promotion

An Affiliate becomes eligible for promotion to a higher tier upon reaching the commission thresholds outlined in Section 5.2: Qualification Revenue Table. Affiliates are eligible for up to two tier promotions based on their performance and gross commission generated.

7. Repeat & referral business

7.1. Exclusion of Repeat & Referral Business

Repeat and referral business generated from leads provided by the affiliate are not covered under the terms of this agreement. This ensures that affiliate fees are only applicable to initial qualified leads directly resulting in paid bookings.

7.2. No Affiliate Fee for Client-Referrals

The company is not obligated to pay affiliate fees for any sales made to individuals, groups, or businesses that the client refers to the company. This clause ensures that affiliate compensation is strictly tied to the original referred leads.

7.3. No Affiliate Fee for Future Purchases

The company will not be liable to pay affiliate fees for any subsequent purchases or bookings made by a referred lead at any future date. This provision maintains the integrity of Affiliate compensation by limiting it to the initial booking derived from the referred lead.
