It was a response to a moment: proposed tariffs and a shaky consumer outlook were making once-in-a-lifetime trips feel risky, and we wanted to take some of that uncertainty off the table for our customers.
A year on, the world has found new ways to feel uncertain, from the Middle East to lingering trade volatility. We've extended the cover every time, because the reason we offered it in the first place has not gone away. What started as a response has become a cornerstone of how we work: less friction for the customer, less risk in the booking, no asterisks.
First Safari? We've Got You Covered.
To provide added security and confidence, we are now including complimentary BRONZE travel insurance with all bookings made through SAFARI.COM until 25th May 2026. We are offering this coverage to all our customers aged 80 years and under, with benefits including up to $5,000 per person for trip cancellations and medical coverage up to $2 million. Additionally, we can arrange coverage for other parts of your trip, including lodges, flights, transfers, and travel to different countries, not just the portion booked with us.
If you'd like to include these additional elements, we can do so at an extra cost, offering highly competitive rates. Clients can also upgrade to higher-tier plans which provide broader coverage and additional benefits. Our team is ready to assist you in tailoring your coverage to fit your specific needs.

If you are a loyal returning guest under the age of 80 years, you'll receive a complimentary upgrade to GOLD travel insurance, with $10,000 in cancellation cover and $5 million in medical protection, per person. Friends or family you refer will enjoy the same upgrade on their first booking.

How does it work?
Place an enquiry with us, and one of our safari specialists will begin tailoring your trip, often in as little as 15 minutes during working hours. Once you receive your first quote, you'll also receive an information pack detailing your complimentary travel insurance.
At that stage, you're welcome to explore optional upgrades, such as broader triggers or higher coverage, should you wish to enhance your protection.
Once your deposit is paid to secure the trip, our team will reach out to collect your details and activate your cover. Shortly after, you'll receive your official insurance documents for peace of mind.
