The Details

Location

The villa sits on the slopes of Table Mountain above Camps Bay, one of Cape Town's most sought-after coastal suburbs. From this position the property looks out across the Atlantic, with the Twelve Apostles rising behind it. The V&A Waterfront, the city centre and the start of the Cape Peninsula drive are all within a short transfer.

Design

Four storeys are arranged so that light, ocean air and mountain views reach every level. The interiors are modern and restrained, with generous open-plan kitchens built for gathering, dining rooms sized for full-house entertaining and quieter corners for guests who want time apart. Multiple pools are set into the terraces so groups can spread out across the property.

Accommodation

Taken on exclusive use, the villa accommodates 16 guests across 8 bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, plus 2 guest toilets. The layout can also be split: a 6-bedroom configuration combines the owner's penthouse with a 3-bedroom apartment, or the three units (a 3-bedroom penthouse, a 3-bedroom apartment and a 2-bedroom apartment) can be booked separately, each with private access.

Dining

Kitchens on multiple floors are designed for guests who want to cook, entertain or bring in a private chef. Breakfast is included in the rate. Camps Bay's beachfront restaurants and the wider Cape Town dining scene are a short drive away, and the villa team can arrange private chefs, in-villa dining and grocery provisioning on request.

Activities

The villa is a base for exploring Cape Town rather than a safari destination. RETURN Africa's team can arrange airport transfers, a Cape city and Table Mountain tour, the Cape Peninsula drive to Cape Point and Boulders Beach, a guided Cape Winelands day through Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, township experiences in Langa, and Hermanus whale watching or shark cage diving in season. All extras are quoted per person and arranged alongside the accommodation booking.

"Jolene was simply extraordinary. She put together what became an absolutely incredible African trip for us in the space of barely three weeks, and from the outset her responsiveness, knowledge and genuine enthusiasm were exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble, responses were almost immediate, and she very quickly understood exactly what we were looking for, our expectations and the way we like to travel. More than simply being an expert at what she does, Jolene genuinely cared about making the trip special for us, and that came through in every aspect of her planning. What particularly impressed us was the flexibility with which she brought everything together. We already had some of our own arrangements in place, including international flights and staying with friends in Cape Town, but Jolene seamlessly incorporated those into the overall itinerary and still organised all the surrounding logistics and transfers. The safari component she designed was outstanding, taking us through Kruger, Victoria Falls, Chobe and the Okavango Delta, before finishing in Cape Town and the Stellenbosch wine region. Every part flowed beautifully and the lodges, experiences and logistics were exceptional. Just as importantly, Jolene stayed in contact throughout the trip at all the key moments, which made travelling so much easier. She would check us in for our internal flights and send through the boarding passes, confirm transfers the day before each pick-up, and make sure everything was in place before we ever had to think about it. That attention to detail, and the fact that she was always one step ahead, removed so much of the usual travel stress and allowed us simply to enjoy the trip. It was genuinely the trip of a lifetime, put together in an extraordinarily short timeframe, and Jolene deserves enormous credit for making it all happen. We could not recommend her highly enough."
