The Details
Location
The camp sits on the edge of Kimana Sanctuary, a community-owned conservancy that forms part of the elephant migration route between Amboseli and the Chyulu Hills. Kilimanjaro fills the southern horizon, and the lower slopes of the mountain are visible from the deck of every suite.
Guests fly into Kimana airstrip, a 20-minute drive from camp, with scheduled flights from Nairobi Wilson taking around 50 minutes.
Accommodation
Ten canvas-and-timber tented suites run along a low ridge facing Kilimanjaro. Each suite covers roughly 1,000 sq ft and includes a king bed, a lounge with a wood-burning stove, an en-suite bathroom with a double vanity and a private verandah with daybeds. Two of the ten are family suites, with a second bedroom connected by a covered walkway.
Dining
Meals are served in the main guest area, on the pool deck, or privately in-suite. The kitchen leans on produce from the on-site shamba, a working market garden that guests can visit. Bush breakfasts, sundowners under an acacia and a long table dinner with the resident hosts are all part of the standard rhythm.
Activities
Twice-daily game drives run inside Kimana Sanctuary and, on request, inside Amboseli National Park. Walking safaris with an armed Maasai guide, night drives, visits to a working Maasai village, a photographic hide at a nearby waterhole, and sessions with the Big Life Foundation anti-poaching unit round out the activity list. The Angama shamba, Pavilion for creative pursuits and a small wellness room with two treatment beds are all on site.

Knows Angama Amboseli backwards. Your direct contact from first enquiry to the day you come home.
"Excellent service from start to finish! The team was responsive, professional and genuinely attentive throughout the entire planning process. They helped coordinate our private road transfer from Nairobi, our stay at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, game drives, park fees and the transfer to the airstrip for the next part of our trip. Every detail was clearly explained, and any changes or questions were handled quickly and efficiently. We were also offered complimentary travel insurance for the Safari.com portion of our trip, as well as complimentary eSIM data for both travellers, which was such a thoughtful and practical extra! A special thank you to Nerine, Clarisha and the Safari.com team for their patience, communication and attention to detail. 5 stars: excellent service, thoughtful extras and a very personal approach."
