The Details
Set sail on one of the world’s most iconic rivers with scheduled weekly departures every Monday (2 nights), Wednesday (2 nights), and Friday (3 nights). The Chobe Princess offers a flexible itinerary and activities tailored to your pace.
Each houseboat accommodates 8 to 10 guests in 4 or 5 well-appointed cabins, offering a quiet and immersive way to experience the Chobe region.
Accommodation
The Chobe Princess offers an intimate, elegant stay on the water. Each cabin accommodates two guests and features an en-suite bathroom, river-facing windows, and daily housekeeping. Cabins average 140 sq ft (13 sq metres) and are designed for comfort and style. Two houseboats have four cabins each, while the third offers five—ideal for couples or small groups.
Shared Spaces
Thoughtfully designed communal areas bring you closer to the river. Enjoy three meals daily in the Dining Area, unwind with a book or board game in the Lounge, relax on the Pool Deck with its plunge pool and loungers, or take in wildlife views from the peaceful Top Viewing Deck.
Dining Experiences
Daily menus showcase fresh, seasonal flavours. Start your day with a continental or cooked breakfast, enjoy a buffet lunch, and end with a plated three-course dinner. Drinks and snacks, including wines and soft drinks, are available throughout the day.
Wildlife & Activities
Water-Based Game Viewing
From March to November, game viewing on the Chobe River is at its best. Spot elephants, lions, crocodiles, buffalo, zebra, and more on guided tender boat excursions, all conducted with care and respect for the animals.
Birding Safari
With over 450 species, the Chobe River is a birding hotspot. Early mornings offer the best sightings, especially from September to March when migratory species arrive. Expert-led, flexible birding safaris cater to all levels of experience.
Photographic Safaris
Capture unforgettable moments aboard a specialised photographic boat with swivel chairs and SLR mounts. The boat hosts up to six guests, with guidance from expert trackers. Advance booking is recommended.
Fishing
Enjoy catch-and-release fishing for Tiger fish, bream, and more. All conventional gear is provided, though fly anglers should bring their own. Local guides ensure a personalised, safe experience on the water.
Cultural Excursion
Visit a traditional Namibian village in East Caprivi for insight into local life. Meet community elders, enjoy dance performances, and shop for handmade crafts. Guests are welcome to bring gifts like school supplies or clothing for the children.
