Location
The Commodore sits on Portswood Road in Cape Town's V&A Waterfront, one of the most visited precincts in southern Africa. Guests are within walking distance of the Two Oceans Aquarium, the Zeitz MOCAA contemporary art museum, the Watershed market and the departure point for Robben Island ferries. Table Mountain, the Cape Winelands and the Atlantic Seaboard beaches are all within easy reach.
Accommodation
Rooms range from 25 square metre Standard and Accessible rooms through Deluxe, Family and Executive categories at 30 square metres, up to 43 square metre Junior and King Suites and the 43 to 47 square metre Imperial Suite. Most rooms look towards Table Mountain, with Executive and Suite categories adding private balconies. Family Rooms include a sofa bed for a third guest. Accessible Rooms feature walk-in showers, grab rails and adapted sanitary fittings.
Dining
The Clipper Restaurant serves a la carte breakfast and dinner, with menus drawing on global influences and locally sourced ingredients. The hotel lounge offers a light meal menu around the clock alongside a full bar, providing a relaxed setting between sightseeing days.
Conferencing
Three meeting venues serve corporate and private events: the America's Cup Conference Room at 120 square metres for up to 150 delegates, the Blue Ribbon Conference Room at 30 square metres for up to 60 delegates, and the Legacy Boardroom at 28 square metres for up to 12 delegates.

Honeymoon
Honeymoon couples receive a complimentary upgrade to a king size bed subject to availability, a romantic turndown with special treats and gifting, and complimentary sparkling wine on the first night. The offer applies to couples married within the same calendar month as travel, and a marriage certificate is required on arrival.
Long stay
Reduced rates apply when the hotel is booked as part of a selected multi-property itinerary with its sister Legacy properties, including Bakubung or Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge and the DAVINCI Hotel & Suites. Guests must stay at every property in the chosen combination, with no substitutions permitted, and complete all travel within 30 days of the first arrival date. These rates are bookable only through central reservations and are available for both individual and group bookings.
Family
One child of 12 years or younger sharing with one or two adults is accommodated free of charge on a bed-only basis, with meals charged separately; from 2027 this applies in a Family Room only. Children aged 0 to 2 years are not charged for meals, those aged 3 to 12 years pay 50 per cent of the applicable meal rate per day, and children occupying their own room are charged the full adult rate.

"Jolene was simply extraordinary. She put together what became an absolutely incredible African trip for us in the space of barely three weeks, and from the outset her responsiveness, knowledge and genuine enthusiasm were exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble, responses were almost immediate, and she very quickly understood exactly what we were looking for, our expectations and the way we like to travel. More than simply being an expert at what she does, Jolene genuinely cared about making the trip special for us, and that came through in every aspect of her planning. What particularly impressed us was the flexibility with which she brought everything together. We already had some of our own arrangements in place, including international flights and staying with friends in Cape Town, but Jolene seamlessly incorporated those into the overall itinerary and still organised all the surrounding logistics and transfers. The safari component she designed was outstanding, taking us through Kruger, Victoria Falls, Chobe and the Okavango Delta, before finishing in Cape Town and the Stellenbosch wine region. Every part flowed beautifully and the lodges, experiences and logistics were exceptional. Just as importantly, Jolene stayed in contact throughout the trip at all the key moments, which made travelling so much easier. She would check us in for our internal flights and send through the boarding passes, confirm transfers the day before each pick-up, and make sure everything was in place before we ever had to think about it. That attention to detail, and the fact that she was always one step ahead, removed so much of the usual travel stress and allowed us simply to enjoy the trip. It was genuinely the trip of a lifetime, put together in an extraordinarily short timeframe, and Jolene deserves enormous credit for making it all happen. We could not recommend her highly enough."
