Why

Swakopmund offers a unique combination of desert and ocean landscapes. The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including the rare black rhino, cheetah, and leopard. You can also explore the Namib Desert, which is one of the oldest deserts in the world. Swakopmund is also a great place to experience the culture of Namibia, with its German colonial architecture and vibrant local markets.

When

The best time to visit Swakopmund is during the summer months of December to March. This is when the weather is warm and sunny, and the days are long.

Where

Swakopmund is a coastal city in Namibia, west of the capital, Windhoek. Sandwiched between Atlantic rollers and the Namib Desert, Swakopmund is the country's biggest coastal town and premier holiday resort. For those interested in adventure activities Swakopmund offers sandboarding, quad biking, dune carting, parachuting, hot air ballooning, shark fishing, deep sea fishing and beach angling to name but a few.
