Day 1: Arrival at Bwindi

Enjoy an early breakfast and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Kisoro. The flight time is approximately 1 hour.

Upon your arrival in Kisoro, you will be welcomed by an expert guide and embark on a community tour that includes a visit to a coffee farm. At the coffee farm, you will have the opportunity to learn about sustainable farming practices in the Virunga massif, which is a great way to promote social change through ecotourism.

After the tour, you will transfer to the Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge, arriving in time to enjoy panoramic views of the Bwindi Forest. A recently proclaimed World Heritage site, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of the most biologically diverse areas on Earth, and its unique, precious flora sustains roughly half of the world population of mountain gorillas – believed to number just 600. There is also a substantial chimpanzee population, and research shows that Bwindi is the only forest in Africa where these two apes live together.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Following an early breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the park headquarters for a morning briefing from the rangers before entering the gorilla sanctuary.

Throughout the trek, you will be accompanied by experienced guides and trackers who will offer insightful information about the endangered mountain gorillas. Once you have found the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour observing them from a 10-meter distance. The thrill of the encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek.

Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming, and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. After tracking, transfer back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Flight to Entebbe

After an early breakfast, depart Bwindi to Kisoro Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Entebbe International Airport.

Tag 2: Gorilla-Trekking-Erlebnis

Während des gesamten Trekkings begleiten Sie erfahrene Guides und Fährtenleser, die Ihnen aufschlussreiche Informationen über die bedrohten Berggorillas geben. Sobald die Gorillas gefunden sind, dürfen Sie sie 1 Stunde lang aus 10 Metern Entfernung beobachten. Die Faszination dieser Begegnung lässt die Mühen des teils anstrengenden Trekkings vergessen.

Jede Begegnung ist anders und hat ihren eigenen Reiz. Wahrscheinlich erleben Sie aus der Nähe, wie die erwachsenen Tiere fressen, sich pflegen und ruhen, während die Jungtiere herumtollen und sich in einem herrlich verspielten Schauspiel an Lianen schwingen. Chaque rencontre est différente et offre ses propres récompenses, mais vous observerez probablement de tout près les adultes en train de se nourrir, de se toiletter et de se reposer, tandis que les jeunes s'ébattent et se balancent aux lianes dans un spectacle délicieusement joueur. Après le pistage, retour au lodge pour le dîner et la nuit.
