"Outstanding location. Outstanding lodge. Outstanding service and help. If ever you go to the Kruger this is a MUST stay. I will go there again without a doubt. Welcoming manager Rieka was exceptional. The best stay I have ever had. Loved everything. Trish"

"Rooms were beautifully appointed but jacuzzi did not function properly. Managerial oversight at reception and particularly in the dining room was not adequate. Meals were erratic ranging from great to below acceptable eg: Risotto was just squashed rice on top of mashed potato. Wine list was disappointing. VERY disappointed there were no walking safaris available - evidently due to "problems with the rifles". Otherwise, game drives and guide were great."

"We were very pleased with the service we received at Imbali Lodge. The staff were very courteous and made sure that our stay was very pleasant and relaxing. This includes everyone: Manager, Ranger, Chef, waiters, shuttle bus drivers, House Keeping Staff, and others. We would definitely recommend Imbali Lodge to our friends, should they be interested in visiting Kruger National Park in the future."

"Excellent game viewing with buffalo kill by lions and then hyena and vultures"

"We just returned from a 3 day stay at the Imbali Lodge. The setting is quiet and lovely. The feeling is safe. Each cottage has a comfortable large bed, sitting area and a well equipped bath. The deck and hot tub look out over the river. The staff was friendly and accommodating without being overbearing. The lodge provides plenty of food. Coffee and tea before the morning drives, breakfast is waiting when you return at 9, lunch, afternoon tea, a drink and snack on the evening drive and dinner. All the food was tasty. The best part was the drives. Our guide - Steffen- was terrific. Even when we didn't find too many animals one evening he filled in with his knowledge of the birds, reptiles and plant life of the park. Some fun stories too. We saw the big five plus many other creatures."

"the Imbali Lodge is something of a Banyan Tree concept and well appointed. In comparison with the Hoyo Hoyo we found the staff here a little less friendly or attentive in the lodge but the driver on safari was great-Nicholas. The manageress-Dominique was also very helpful. Dining was pleasant but portions a bit light."
- John
"We had a wonderful time and was very fortunate to be able to see all of Africa's Big Five while there for just a short stay. My only disappointment was the fact that the lodge was not made aware that we were celebrating our honeymoon, even though I had informed our park coordinator in advance. The superb service, meals and accommodations were more than worth a return visit, maybe for an anniversary! ;-) Blessings"

"We just arrived home from an incredible few days spent at Imbali Safari lodge! Everything about our time was seamless: airport transfers, meal times, game drives, etc. Game drives happen twice a day; once early in the morning and then again in the afternoon. They are approx. 3 hrs. in length each. One of my favourite parts of the drives was getting out of the vehicle to "stretch our legs" i.e. Have a hot cup of coffee with homemade rusks or enjoy a cold beer with traditional South African snacks! The lodges themselves are beautiful. They are perfectly situated across from an area where the animals are. From within our room we saw Impalas, elephants and buffaloes crossing. Food is superb and plenty! Simple as that. There is nothing I would changed about Imbali and for this reason would consider going back. FYI: There is no cell coverage at the lodge and within most of the park. There is free wi-if within the common areas of the lodge. Plus, it was a great bonus that we happened to catch the Big 5 within our first two game drives!"
- Denise
"This was our first safari and also our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, it was magical. Elephants at the waterhole across the river, fantastic food, and safari drives with our excellent guide Julie, where we saw the Big 5 and more. Can’t wait to return. Extra special thanks to Baldwin and Winston!"
- Simon
"We were greeted, lodged, fed and had five good safari drives. We did get to see four of the five big animals; we missed seeing the leopard. The staff was very attentive and gave great service. Each tented cabin had a small pool which is very private. The breakfast was buffet and they would make anything that you desired."
