The Details
Kambaku At Sea sits on a private 100-acre expanse in the heart of the Garden Route, one of South Africa's most celebrated travel corridors. The shimmering Swartvlei Estuary stretches out in front of the hotel, the ancient Outeniqua Mountains rise behind, and indigenous forest wraps around the property.
The Garden Route runs roughly 185 miles from Mossel Bay to the Storms River, taking in quaint towns, dramatic mountain ranges, pristine beaches and ancient forests. From Kambaku At Sea the whole region is within easy reach, whether guests are heading into Knysna, exploring the wilderness of Tsitsikamma, or working through the area's celebrated food and wine offering.
Accommodation
The hotel has five suites in total: three Premier Suites and two Classic Suites. All rooms include continental and English breakfast, tea and coffee, Wi-Fi and DSTV. Exclusive-use bookings sleep up to ten guests across the five suites, with a five percent discount and a three-night minimum.
Activities
The setting invites a slower pace: sunset cruises on the estuary, kayaking on the crystalline water, browsing the curio shop or reading beside the fireplace. The wider Garden Route opens up outdoor activities, coastal walks and access to Knysna and Tsitsikamma from the doorstep.
Dining
Rates are quoted on a bed and breakfast basis, with a full continental and English breakfast included. Dinner is available on request at an additional charge per person, and the Garden Route's restaurant scene is on the doorstep for guests who want to venture out.
