The Details

Location

Khwai Lediba sits within the private Khwai Community Concession in the north-eastern Okavango Delta, sharing an unfenced boundary with the Moremi Game Reserve. The Moremi was founded by the BaTwana tribal authorities and is the oldest protected section of the Delta, an intricate mosaic of pans, floodplains, lagoons, grasslands, acacia forests, savannahs and mopane woodlands.

The camp's interiors draw on the greens and golds of the surrounding landscape, with a lounge and reading area, boutique shop stocked with local crafts, swimming pool, sun deck and a shared firepit for evenings under the stars.

Rooms

Accommodation comprises six luxury tented suites, one luxury family tented suite and one luxury honeymoon tented suite, each raised on a private viewing deck overlooking the bush. Suites are furnished with king-size beds, mosquito netting, fully stocked mini bars and both indoor and outdoor showers.

The family suite has interconnecting bedrooms for parents and older children, while the honeymoon suite adds an outdoor bath for soaking beneath the African sky.

Dining

Meals are served in the main dining area, around the firepit or out on private viewing decks, with the kitchen accommodating dietary preferences including vegetarian guests. The boma hosts traditional bush dinners under the stars.

Activities

Twice-daily game drives explore the concession and the wider Moremi, with night drives permitted on the private community land. Guided walking safaris bring guests closer to the smaller details of the bush, while traditional mokoro safaris poled by local guides drift through the shallow channels of the Khwai River, which is also one of the Delta's richest birding habitats. Scenic flights over the Delta can be arranged.
