You Should Know

• Walking safaris require guests to be a minimum of 16 years old
• Triple rooms are only offered to a third guest under 16, subject to availability

• Government and park fees are third-party charges, subject to change, and payable even on complimentary nights

The Details

Location

The camp is pitched inside the Serengeti National Park and moves with the migration through the year. From roughly June onward it sits in the north, near the Mara River crossings, before shifting south to the Ndutu and short-grass plains for the calving season. Guests reach it by light aircraft from Arusha or Kilimanjaro into the nearest Serengeti airstrip.

Rooms

Accommodation is under canvas in classic safari tents, each with its own veranda, proper beds, and an en-suite bathroom with a flush loo and a hot bucket shower. The fit-out is deliberately restrained, favouring warm textiles, paraffin lanterns, and the sounds of the bush over hard-wired luxury.

Dining

Meals are served communally in the mess tent or outside under the acacias, depending on where the camp is set. Cooking is done over open fires and in a bush kitchen, with three-course dinners, hearty breakfasts, and bush lunches or picnics packed for full-day game drives.

Activities

Game drives are the centrepiece, timed to the movement of the herds and the predators that follow them. Walking safaris are offered on a shared basis with two to six guests, led by an armed specialist walking guide alongside an armed TANAPA ranger, subject to park recommendations on visibility. A guide or tour-leader tent is available on request.
