The Details

Location

Le Nautique Waterfront Hotel sits at La Passe on La Digue, the fourth-largest of the Seychelles inner islands and a short ferry hop from Mahe and Praslin. The hotel faces directly onto the Indian Ocean, with the jetty and the island's quiet village centre within easy walking distance.

La Digue is best known for Anse Source d'Argent, a stretch of powdery white sand framed by dramatic granite boulders and shallow turquoise water. The island is largely car-free, and most guests explore by bicycle, drifting between coves, Creole houses and vibrant coral reefs at their own pace.

Rooms

Accommodation is arranged across three room categories: King Garden rooms set back from the water, King Seafront rooms with direct ocean views, and the more spacious King Deluxe Seafront rooms positioned for the best of the waterfront setting. Each room is designed as a quiet, contemporary island retreat with the ocean or garden close at hand.

Dining

Dining at Le Nautique is a celebration of the Seychelles' culinary mix. The waterfront restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner either inside or around the pool, with a menu that pairs hand-picked Creole dishes (a fusion of French, Indian and Oriental influences, layered with spices and fragrance) alongside international plates drawing on the owners' travels through Europe, Australia, the Americas and South East Asia.

Expect carefully cooked meats and seafood, salads, pastas and desserts, paired with a curated selection of wines, beers, spirits and the restaurant's own classic and speciality "twisted" cocktails. Sundowners on the waterfront, watching the sun drop into the Indian Ocean, are a fixture of any stay.

Activities

The hotel maintains a fleet of standard rental bicycles for in-house guests, and can arrange tricycles, tandems or electric bicycles through local operators. Cycling is the simplest way to reach the island's best beaches, viewpoints and hiking trails.

Beyond the bike, the team can book snorkelling and diving trips around the surrounding marine parks, deep-sea fishing charters, guided walks through the island's forests and coastlines, and kayaking excursions along Anse Source d'Argent. Complimentary golf-buggy transfers run between the La Digue jetty or helipad and the hotel.

"Appreciated the overall trip planning and guidance. Effectively put two of their suggested itineraries together upon request. Also, appreciated was their ability to arrange our trip extension to Cape Town and Seychelles."
