Named in honor of Cedric Wilde, a director of the Amalinda Safari Collection, the camp reflects his passion for the African bush. Affectionately known as “Khulu”—meaning grandfather in the local community—Cedric often joins guests around the campfire, sharing enthralling stories and strumming classic country tunes, adding a personal touch to this extraordinary escape.

The Lodge Experience
Khulu Bush Camp is the smaller, more secluded sister property to Ivory Lodge, offering an unmatched sense of remoteness in the heart of the African wilderness. Overlooking an ancient riverbed (vlei), the lodge provides a front-row seat to the famous Presidential Elephant Herd and the diverse array of wildlife and birdlife that thrives in the concession.

Stay & Pay
Emerald Season guests may stay three nights and pay for two, available for travel until 31 December 2026, excluding the June to October period. The rate includes all meals, local and imported beverages, two activities per full day, National Parks and monument fees where applicable, shared transfers within 20 km of camp along with airport arrival and departure transfers, laundry and Wi-Fi. Park fees on the complimentary night and the Mother Africa Conservation and Community Levy are added to your account, and the offer does not apply to Full Moon Game Count bookings.
Honeymoon
Couples booking a minimum of four nights in the Emerald Season receive 50 per cent off one partner's rate, an offer exclusive to Khulu Bush Camp. It is available for stays until 31 December 2026, excluding the June to October period, with standard camp inclusions applying. The Mother Africa Conservation and Community Levy remains payable per adult per night, and the offer cannot be combined with Full Moon Game Count bookings.
Long stay
Two extended itineraries are offered through 2026. From now until 31 October 2026, a four-night stay for a minimum of two guests includes a complimentary flight to or from Victoria Falls, with all meals, all drinks, two activities per day, park and monument fees where applicable, shared Bulawayo and Hwange airport transfers, laundry and Wi-Fi. Alternatively, the six-night Matobo and Hwange circuit pairing Khulu Bush Camp with Amalinda Lodge, travelled in either direction, includes the final night at no charge together with the complimentary road transfer between the two regions; Victoria Falls to Hwange transfers, park fees on the free night and the Mother Africa Conservation and Community Levy are excluded, and neither offer applies to Full Moon Game Count bookings.
