Sussi & Chuma nestles on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River just 12 kilometres upstream from the iconic Victoria Falls, and alongside Zambia’s Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. Set amongst Jackalberry trees and Phoenix palms, the exclusive Sussi & Chuma offers panoramic views of the islanded-dotted river. Accommodation is in twelve spacious Sussi Tree-Houses, connected by wooden walkways, and two secluded Chuma Houses, each with two bedrooms.
The Tree-Houses are built in a canopy of imposing ebony trees along the picturesque river bank. Each Tree-House features an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub, air conditioning, mini-bar, mosquito nets, overhead fans and hairdryer, and a private viewing deck.
The two exclusive Chuma Houses are private self-contained homesteads offering one double and one twin en-suite bedroom. The double room offers an additional outdoor shower and other features include a lounge with a fireplace, spacious indoor and outdoor dining areas, a well-equipped kitchenette, an outdoor verandah with a barbecue area and a private swimming pool. Guests at the Chuma Houses also have their own private chef, guide, vehicle and boat.
Canopy-level walkways connect the tree-houses to the elevated thatched main lodge. The lodge facilities include a bar, lounge area, wine cellar, open-air dining area, boma, spa, swimming pool, and a viewing deck.
Sussi & Chuma offers a variety of exciting activities such as game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park to view the varied wildlife, sunset river cruises, walking safaris, fishing, and guided excursions to the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls are offered, as well as cultural tours of Livingstone and the Maramba Village. The lodge funds the Nakatindi Community School, which provides education to over 400 pupils, many of whom are orphaned. Guests have the heart-warming opportunity to visit the Nakatindi Village and school during their stay.
For adrenalin junkies, the lodge can arrange white-water rafting, elephant-back game viewing, bungee jumping, microlighting, jet-boating, and the Flight of Angels - a scenic helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls.

Pascal John was awesome!
Pascal John was very helpful with planning our trip. We had specific dates and time frames that we had to make sure corresponded correctly with the rest of our South Africa trip and Pascal John could not have made it any easier. He was professional and always responded over text in a timely manner. Definitely would recommend!

It was a great experience dealing with Shann. She was most accommodating and patient. We managed to sort things out very eventually. The only sore point I have is the 2 % surcharge for the card handling fee, which I find too excessive. Otherwise, I am pleased with everything.

Trip to Kruger at Mdluli Safari Lodge
I loved working with Anja from safari.com. She put together my itinerary within my price range and was very professional, thorough and empathetic. She followed up with me many times to see if I needed anything throughout my trip and even filled out some forms for me when I was having difficulty. When the lodge I stayed at was not being accommodating in the slightest, she quickly contacted the manager and got them to rearrange their services to meet my needs. I would most certainly use safari.com again due to my wonderful experience working with Anja.

I would love to share my experience with Nicole. She has worked tirelessly to help me make my dream vacation a reality. I had no idea how to start planning. Nicole suggested the most wonderful South African resorts and safaris. No matter how many changes I threw her way it was always received with a happy, positive attitude. I live in Hawaii and even though we were on a 12 hour time difference she was always available to answer any questions or concerns. Her expertise, knowledge and patience are unmeasurable. I was plagued with numerous payment issues from my bank in Hawaii. Nicole never wavered from being patience and more importantly positive that we could resolve each issue and get my trip booked.
