The Detail
The Elephant Camp West’s four suites cater to groups and families traveling to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The suites are of the same size, style, and design as the current rooms at The Elephant Camp.
Each suite features a bedroom area (with interchangeable beds to suit king or twin), a lounge area with comfortable fold-out sleeper-couch-style beds to accommodate small families, a spacious bathroom (with a bath offering a view, indoor and outdoor showers), as well as a private deck and plunge pool overlooking the Victoria Falls National Park. Guests are treated to spectacular views of the spray of the Falls on the horizon. The camp serves as an extension of The Elephant Camp, Victoria Falls, and as a stand-alone facility, offering an exclusive experience for up to 16 guests.
The camp includes a beautiful central lounge area with a bar and indoor dining room. The expansive deck offers an ideal alfresco dining location, perfect for savoring culinary excellence while taking in the sweeping vistas of Africa. The cuisine is of the same high standard as that offered at The Elephant Camp, and the catering staff are managed by the Executive Chef from The Elephant Camp.
During construction, bush clearing at The Elephant Camp West was kept to a bare minimum in accordance with Wild Horizons’ environmental policy. The suites were positioned to maximize privacy by utilizing existing trees and vegetation. Green initiatives include the use of ‘grey water’ systems, worm farms for bio-waste, solar water heaters, the planting of 50 indigenous trees, and the establishment of a nursery to ensure continued forestation of the Sanctuary.

"Booked an 11-day tour starting and finishing in Johannesburg and including Victoria Falls, Chobe and the Okavango Delta. The service from Cearl was very professional with numerous options discussed before settling on the final version. Prices seemed to be very reasonable."
